It would be my pleasure jen, anything to help out!!!

BK28 · 21/04/2015 23:23

I love he is a bright lad...mentioned that Scotland was a possibility and from his previous encounters with you all he must have put two and two to make a kilt!!

jen all you need is for them to be snowbound and that makes a perfectly adequate story setting/excuse for some amazing QS plus they need to destress a little!!! Just go for it..happy to proof if required!

Good luck mummyr for tomorrow!

Richtea19 · 22/04/2015 07:20

Not sure that doing wheelbarrow racing in the back garden and scrambling around under the netting over the strawberry patch is good prep for an interview!! Then just as I came out the shower and was drying my hair CJ came into my room and insisted writing notes for my presentation up my arms!!!
He has been very sweet and offered to 'entertain' the two female interviewers if I think it might help, however I would rather get the job on my own merits rather than his! Quite surprised he willing to trust any female he meets in Blackpool after our visit to Funny Girls last night.

Nickel45 · 22/04/2015 08:14

Good luck mummyr

Oops, overslept ... As in was up in the night so didnt wake up ... Late for work .... Gotta go!

Ilovelblue · 22/04/2015 08:34

Love the idea of the wheelbarrow racing and the strawberry netting! Good luck, we are all behind you mummyr.

Shame I have to go to work today with the weather being so nice. Typically, it's due to change at the weekend as well. I'm in the midst of plant propagation and nurturing for our charity plant sale next month and spent most of last night till the light went repotting. Think I have about 250 plants on the go! My colleague will have a similar amount.

Best get ready for work now. I seem to get later and later.... this thread is far too addictive.

pixieg1rl · 22/04/2015 09:49

Good luck with the interview mummyreeds!

cjwoofwoof · 22/04/2015 10:54

Be brilliant mummy rooting for you!

Been busy rewriting the script for Poldirk so Prudey only has a minor bit part role where Darkie is a purebred Clydesdale and Poldirk naturally adores his mount. Darkie is harnessed and ploughs every day under Poldirks expert handling. In Episode 15 there's a 10 second clip where Prudey brings Poldirk a wee dram from her ample jugs then exits stage left and is not seen again until Episode 46 where she's trampled by Darkie for getting in the way of a particularly heavy ploughing session.

Just for the record I don't care if CJ bites his nails, his lip or his tongue so long as his mouth is in good working order. Always handy to fall back on expert mastication if the need arises Grin

cjwoofwoof · 22/04/2015 11:04

Great pics this morning ice - middle pic for me - headset all the way.

It's uncanny that in my opinion pics of Poldark in his hat are much better too. And Major HaveMyDriedPeas in Banished looked much better with the velvet bow ponytail. I must have some kind of hitherto unknown headwear fetish - should I be worried? I suppose in the context of being obsessed with fictional characters and this thread it's the least of my worries Confused

orphan · 22/04/2015 12:45

Oh dear woof it seems that the very latest revised Poldirk scripts haven't reached you.

At the end of ep 1 poor Ross is injured when Darkie's enormous Clydesdale rear crushes him whilst he's worming her. Ross has to recover in bed for the next 6 eps, tended by the devoted Prudey and her brimming jugs. No more ploughing for Darkie I'm afraid.

mummyreeds · 22/04/2015 13:16

Back from interview, went OK I think but you never know who you up against! Will know if successful Friday. Thanks for all your good wishes.
Got a bit panicky just beforehand telling CJ I couldn't go and he started wittering on about needing his coffee, I told him it wasn't a job as a Barista I was going for!!!

icemistOBE · 22/04/2015 13:36

Sounds good mummyr

Tragedy has struck here - have dropped my phone and screen has smashed Sad

orphan · 22/04/2015 13:57

That sounds promising mummyr fingers crossed for you. Smile

Oh no icemist we can't have our missions control commander down on tech. Can you still oversee everything from your bunker though?
(I must replace my tablet - using my phone for everything is driving me mad and I find the laptop too cumbersome now)

icemistOBE · 22/04/2015 14:24

well I can still use phone- have tablet and laptop was just handier (quicker) on my phone.

OP posts:
cjwoofwoof · 22/04/2015 14:36

No doubt you were brilliant mummy and the job's in the bag.

Oops ice my dh did that last week - fully cracked screen but still working thankfully. Due an upgrade any day now so hopefully no extra expense. You might gonna need to use the ipad Sad

Thankfully, orphan the hasty re-writes of the first six eps of Poldirk (due to Darkie's diva tantrums at always getting the shit end of the stick), have resulted in a full makeover for Poldirk's loyal mare. She's coming back in as Scarlett Johanssen due to a dream when Ross was taking a shower, and Prudey is being recast as Rab C Nesbitt to add a few laughs.

icemistOBE · 22/04/2015 16:15

Upgrade not die for a year Sad gonna see how much it costs to have screen replaced and decide then what to do. Phone works perfectly otherwise

OP posts:
orphan · 22/04/2015 17:57

woof strange you should say Rab C Nesbitt, as one of Prudey's fav 'relaxing at home' outfits is a string vest.

moojangles · 22/04/2015 18:05

mummyr hope it went well, crossing everything for you Friday

orphan · 22/04/2015 18:11

I still haven't caught up with the last Poldark actually. Although I'm enjoying it, I do think some of the characters (particularly the baddie bankers) are a bit like caricatures. It's annoying that it's already supposedly got the go ahead for several more series whilst OG's future is dubious.

cjwoofwoof · 22/04/2015 18:25

I think there are more £ signs in the BBCs eyes for overseas sales of Poldark series orphan thanks to the original 1970s show which was a worldwide hit. Our Girl pricey to stage with no history or guarantees of foreign interest, so more risky. That's my theory anyway, plus of course AT is totes gorgeous which always helps. That's why BA should be getting himself noticed more in the UK not the US to get the TV execs to see how brilliant he is.

cjwoofwoof · 22/04/2015 18:32

Quote of today from an expert: "Scything with a good tool relaxes the mind and attunes the body". Not 'alf if the scyther is a topless AT ...

Richtea19 · 22/04/2015 19:26

Fingers crossed you hear good news on Friday mummy

Ekk phone smashed ice I've done it when my phone was just a week old, I had dropsie...sometimes I just drop stuff randomly! No insurance either. It cost me about 60.00 from a man in our local shopping centre, and now i have one of those rubber, builders phone cases!

Poldark for me to watch tonight....AT is lovely, but still prefer the CJ clean cut look with a hint of Afghan grime.

Ice did you say he was back in the UK? Does that mean his finished filming that program about the singer. Might just check out HH the crap management agency!
