Old thread here. This is copied and pasted from there.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT***

Next episode is Easter Monday at 8.30pm (for an hour). This is the start of knockout week.

Then:
Wednesday 8pm-9pm
Thursday 8pm-9pm
Friday 8.30pm-9pm

They start the week with 12, lose one a night and at the end of Friday they're down to 8.

Then just to confuse us even more they put an episode on a Sunday (12th April) 7.30-8pm.
Monday 13th 8pm-9pm.

That's as far as the BBC website shows at the moment. That's semi-final week so presumably the finals are the following week.

I like Emma. Like her food too. Emma to win!Grin

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 18/04/2015 10:14

Very sorry about Sarah, but on last night's showing she had to go. So five in Finals Week! Another change from previous years.

Yes, he is one of those Sitwells, btw. At least he admitted he loved Tony's pudding, even though he loathes BFG (oddball - how could anybody not love black forest gateau?).

Yes, Emma to win! Em-ma! Em-ma!

OP posts:
Davros · 18/04/2015 18:11

Shitwell really was on form wasn't he?!

hideandseekpig · 18/04/2015 19:44

I hate black Forest gateau sorry!!

TheSilveryPussycat · 19/04/2015 17:57

And I hate Black Forest gateau as well. And any combination of chocolate and orange.

TheSilveryPussycat · 19/04/2015 17:58

ie no choc and cherries for me, and no choc and orange either!

Trills · 19/04/2015 18:00

I love chocolate and orange but hate chocolate and mint.

squoosh · 19/04/2015 18:02

I'm the opposite, adore mint choc but can't stand chocolate and orange. Chocolate and orange do not go well together.

One day the world will agree.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 19/04/2015 18:09

You are all wrong, of course. Chocolate doesn't go with apple or pineapple or grapefruit, but there are very few other fruits it doesn't go well with. Chocolate and mint is a marriage made in heaven.

OP posts:
Jacana · 19/04/2015 18:17

Chocolate and mint YAYY! As long as it's dark chocolate and it's cold from the fridge.Smile

squoosh · 19/04/2015 18:19

Nothing goes well with grapefruit except high cholesterol and the need to drop a few pounds.

Givenotake · 19/04/2015 18:20

Concur re chocolate orange. They'll all see sense one day.

squoosh · 19/04/2015 18:20

I know I'm supposed to love dark chocolate but I'm a milk chocolate girl at heart. I have a pleb's palate.

hideandseekpig · 19/04/2015 18:23

Chocolate orange is lovely as is mint choc

Any other chocolate combination like strawberry , cherry, raspberry are all definitely wrong!

I woke up in the middle of the night and could only remember four of the finalists.Shock

So this helpful Guardian crib is essentially just for me.

(I'm an iPlayer watcher so try to avoid the thread during broadcasts.)

squoosh · 20/04/2015 15:50

Thanks Footle, I did not know that! Fascinating to think a piece of fruit could interfere with statins.

My knowledge of grapefuits is limited to: eye wateringly bitter fruit that my mum was fond of in the 1980's!

Jacana · 20/04/2015 16:26

So tonight they've got to create a dish to commemorate Churchill, according to my TV book.

So which will do a canelloni stuffed with chocolate soil with some white stuff at the tip. And maybe some red sprinkles?

Anyone does, they're out Grin

Evening all!

squoosh · 20/04/2015 21:03

Canelloni cigar and bovril posing as a brandy.

I could be on Masterchef.

squoosh · 20/04/2015 21:04

Look at the git in the gittish hat!

fourquenelles · 20/04/2015 21:06

Yeah! Micro herbs. How I have missed you my old friends.

I don't think the cheese and marmite ban was with Largactil. I thought it was MAOI antidepressants but I could be wrong.
These dishes are poncey. I bet Churchill wouldn't have liked them.
