Don't know if there's already a thread about it. It's at 8 on ITV. Will watch it but think it'll just be a lot of squabbling and point scoring tbh...

Fun to watch it with you lot tho! Smile

I suspect that first thing on Tuesday Jonny will be changing his name..

Wolfcub · 02/04/2015 22:17

I agreed weasle david would have mopped the floor

JustCallMeDory · 02/04/2015 22:17

I want to see Toby fretting in the background, agonising over the lack of expressed principles.

JustCallMeDory · 02/04/2015 22:19

Fast work RealMary! And MN called it first - NS won (in terms of performance)

TwartFaceBeetj · 02/04/2015 22:21

Could well imagine if sturgeon had been snp leader in the Scottish vote, Scotland would now be independent

Wolfcub · 02/04/2015 22:23

Agreed, Sturgeon is a lot better than Salmond

BoulevardOfBrokenSleep · 02/04/2015 22:23

TherealMaryMillington I have at least four different political flavours on my Twitter feed and each one has found a poll in which they won Grin

I think it's possible that an exchange of platitudes is hard to call.

Was impressed by all three women, but can't vote for two and no point voting for the other; I think the take home message is we ought to have a Bit Of Skirt Revolution and take over the world.

Wolfcub · 02/04/2015 22:23

Its poll have Plaid Cymru last

Wolfcub · 02/04/2015 22:24

Itv even

MrsPeabody · 02/04/2015 22:26

Boulevard, I very much agree with that.

Great thread, thank you

(Apologies for spelling everyone's names wrong...long day!)

TSSDNCOP · 02/04/2015 22:27

Idont I suspect Rebecca will be changing her hair.

TheRealMaryMillington · 02/04/2015 22:28

Yep, Boulevard, but if nothing else this is a damn good day for women in politics.

The80sweregreat · 02/04/2015 22:28

Hmm, the last skirt in power was Maggie! Maybe just a revolution will do, but it wont happen! The women did well though. Was surprised at NS.

Idontseeanydragons · 02/04/2015 22:28

Farage did frighteningly well in a lot of polls.

TheRealMaryMillington · 02/04/2015 22:31
WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 02/04/2015 22:32

Really scared that Farage is polling well. I thought he was vile.

TheRealMaryMillington · 02/04/2015 22:33

Looking forward to the post-match analysis

TSSDNCOP · 02/04/2015 22:34

Were any of those polls not ones he paid for himself Idont?

MillieMoodle · 02/04/2015 22:34

Oops, sorry all - suddenly remembered I'd left the washing out!
My rankings:
Nicola
Dave
Leanne
Nick
Ed
Nige
Natalie

Natalie may as well have not bothered. Nige was there so he could rant about immigrants and have a beer afterwards. Ed couldn't be more insincere if he tried, and the slow and deliberate look into the camera was nauseating. Nick seems quite sincere and normal but will never have any power so can pretty much promise anything knowing he'll never have to deliver. Leanne was good but only mentioned Wales, which I know is the point of Plaid Cymru but it was a UK debate. Dave was ok, nothing special and I thought bringing Ivan into it was a low shot. Nicola was concise and dealt with it all very well but she's an unknown quantity so it might just be that I'm unfamiliar with her whereas I'm used to the bullshit from all the others.
Happy voting all Grin

AllThePrettySeahorses · 02/04/2015 22:35

I'm surprised that early polls say Cameron was good - I honestly thought he may as well have been empty-chaired for all the good he was. Hate to admit I didn't dislike Farage as much as I should have.

Titsalinabumsquash · 02/04/2015 22:37

I'm worried UKIP are coming out so well in polls, please tell me, someone who knows politics, that there is no chance Nigel will be our next PM?!

BoulevardOfBrokenSleep · 02/04/2015 22:38

I think if your opinion is 'Farage is a dick', his comments are only going to reinforce that.

However, if you think, 'Farage is saying what others are afraid to say', his comments that 'I am saying what other people are afraid to say' (and very little else) are also going to reinforce that.

I said to Dh early on, "Farage is deliberately conflating debt and deficit - does he think his supporters are stupid?!" "Oh, yeah. Right."

The80sweregreat · 02/04/2015 22:40

I dont think Ukip has enough MPs for Farage to be next P M. But i think they will get more seats than 3. I have no idea, but thats my take.

MumSnotBU · 02/04/2015 22:41

I despair that anyone can watch Farage and think he's a good guy to vote for. It's frightening.

TheRealMaryMillington · 02/04/2015 22:41

UKIP are popular in some quarters, that's no surprise. Though you have every reason to be appalled.

It won't translate to seats, and those they gain would otherwise likely be Tory.
