Don't know if there's already a thread about it. It's at 8 on ITV. Will watch it but think it'll just be a lot of squabbling and point scoring tbh...

Fun to watch it with you lot tho! Smile

I'll be watching. I have snacks. I'm picturing it a little bit like a preschool talent show. Most of them are a bit crap but their supporters are convinced they're gifted and can do no wrong. I want interrupting, bad behaviour, a clear inability to add up and possibly somebody pissing themselves through stage fright.

Actually, I want some inspirational people fighting for the good of the country but that won't happen. So the preschool scenario will do.

AWholeLottaNosy · 02/04/2015 19:35

Preschool talent show. Like that! Grin

I will be watching it - along with 3 17 year olds who are all furious they can't vote. There may be shouting at the TV.
I don't think it will be long enough to give more than a few soundbites, but I will be watching Question Time afterwards and reading as much as possible in order to fill in the blanks.

I agree about the point scoring BTW.

AWholeLottaNosy · 02/04/2015 19:36

Must get snacks.

I shall be watching while DP plays videos games. Had intended for dinner to be ready for the debate but still can't get my head around the concept of time because of the clocks going forward Confused. I assume it'll be pretty average, I'd like some massive cock ups but doubt anything too awkward will happen!

Behooven · 02/04/2015 19:39

Me! I enjoy things like this. QT and Andrew Neil will no doubt be talking about it later too.

Can't stand that Burley woman !!!!! Wtf she's on about ties and shoes to Yvette Cooper, arsehole.

fakenamefornow · 02/04/2015 19:39

I'm hoping it's like thiswww.youtube.com/watch?v=l9Ds70SOGj0

SauvignonBlanche · 02/04/2015 19:40

I'll be watching with a 17 year old British Government & Politics student who turns 18 the week after the election.
I've explained that it's his fault he missed the vote as he was late. Easter Smile

William Hill are taking bets on bingo phrases.

Hard working families
I agree with Nicola
A Vote for SNP is a vote for Cameron

Etc etc

Grantaire · 02/04/2015 19:45

I remember the first time I voted. I was 18 and full of righteous fury and passion. My 17yo boyfriend (now DH) couldn't vote and was very cross. We managed to oust the incumbent Tory chap and change 70yrs of Conservative rule where I lived. I danced on a table. Since then, the (still great admittedly) chap in question's boss has got into bed with Cameron, lost all credibility and my righteous fury and passion has diluted down into ennui and faint disgust.

I'm a socialist really but there hasn't been a socialist party to vote for in forever.

HighwayDragon · 02/04/2015 19:45

Yes, looking forward to it. Hoping for name calling tbh Grin

Grantaire · 02/04/2015 19:46

Ed will say 'I make no bones about it' and Cameron will say 'Listen...' They'll scrap over who gets to play with the phrase "Let me be clear".

frankie80 · 02/04/2015 19:46

Looking forward to watching it

AWholeLottaNosy · 02/04/2015 20:02

Weak smile from Cameron...

Liking Green Party's opening speech so far.

Cecyhall · 02/04/2015 20:03

I feel like there should be some kind of drinking game for how many times they say 'look' at a start of a sentence, ed milliband is a bad one for that.

The presenter looks like she is wearing a dentist outfit.

HighwayDragon · 02/04/2015 20:04

Great opening statement from the greens

handfulofcottonbuds · 02/04/2015 20:04

Julie always looks so smart and professional but the heck have they put her in??

MintChocAddict · 02/04/2015 20:05

Cameron looks very uncomfortable.

TSSDNCOP · 02/04/2015 20:05

Poor Nick. So utterly buggered.

Untrevive · 02/04/2015 20:05

Laugh so far at green party pointing to self at appropriate part of speach. Cant disagree with opening bits so far.

TSSDNCOP · 02/04/2015 20:07

That was horribly done Untrevie. You could almost hear her saying in her head "now point at self".

Idontseeanydragons · 02/04/2015 20:07

Just started watching - I was waiting for mention of the 'long term economic plan' and lo and behold Dave trots it out.
Anybody want a small wager on how many times we hear that phrase?

handfulofcottonbuds · 02/04/2015 20:08

Yes, terrible speech by Greens and reading off card

Only think IMO that is good about Farage is his ability to speak publicly

JustCallMeDory · 02/04/2015 20:09

Oh dear god, I was on the wrong thread. Now there's a whole thread where the last 6 posts are me going 'hello? hello? am I the only person in the country watching??' Blush
