I know there's a few of you out there...

OP posts:

I've got very vague recollections of Charlie's wedding being on a boat and something similarly disastrous happening then. Does anyone remember more?

Moln · 26/08/2015 12:41

I don't even recall Charlie getting married. There is a time period of my life where I didn't have a TV.

Dark days.

Pixel · 26/08/2015 22:27

I vaguely recalled this too so had a quick search. It does say here that Charlie and Baz get married on a boat in the marina.
And are some very familiar old faces having a sing-song on said boat.

All very eighties. I feel so old!

Pixel · 26/08/2015 22:29

Oh meant to add that I haven't found out what the disaster was. Maybe there wasn't one after all? unless it was the singing

Optimist1 · 27/08/2015 12:56

Thanks for setting my mind at rest, Moln. Smile

Lonecatwithkitten · 29/08/2015 21:39

Duffy turns up so it must be all over for Charlie.

Pud2 · 29/08/2015 21:41

Poor Charlie! Think it will be a bit naf if he suddenly resurrects tomorrow...

Girlfriend36 · 29/08/2015 21:43

Charlie can't die Sad

I'm still traumatised by Charlies family being killed off by a house fire about a million years ago!

oldsilver · 29/08/2015 21:57

Nooooo, that's unfair getting Duffy where's your accent back like that. Although if that was recreating the very first episode where Charlie drove from A to B via CDEF...Z (oh how we laughed at the time). That definitely wasn't where they first filmed Casualty either.

WIBU to be weeping my eyes out right now?

EBearhug · 29/08/2015 22:07

It is all signposting to Charlie not making it, all the flashbacks, and Duffy turning up. And someone has to die after all that explosive stuff on the boat. At least we don't have to wait a whole week to find out.

Icimoi · 29/08/2015 22:16

It was Josh's family who got killed in the house fire, not Charlie's.

SoupDragon · 29/08/2015 22:21

On the trailer, Lofty bends down to kiss what appears to be Charlie's head as he is wheeled away on a bed/trolley. He must be alive at that point otherwise he would be covered and this scene hasn't happened yet has it?

Pixel · 29/08/2015 22:29

Oh God the stress! As soon as Charlie kicked his shoes off I was saying "Nooooo, he has a heart condition!" Of course that little S**t Louis did nothing to help.
Duffy looks pretty good I must say.

Jacob is telling the police how to do their jobs as well now, and STILL hasn't so much as stuck on a plaster. There's something very annoying odd about him!

PartyFops · 29/08/2015 23:03

What a fab episode! I bloody love Casualty!

Glad Zoe and Dylan aren't dead!

Moln · 29/08/2015 23:08

Yes it was Josh's family, he got called out to it, certainly not Charlie's because we still unfortunately have bloody Louie.

BatteryOperatedBoyfriend · 29/08/2015 23:09

I don't see how Dylan survived!

SoupDragon · 30/08/2015 08:54

I think Dylan survived because the explosion was outside, on top of the boat, and not in the confined area he was in. Most of the force would have been away from him and he was probably protected from it and the flames.

Icimoi · 30/08/2015 10:17

I suppose it was fairly typical of Louis' addictive personality that he reacted to seeing his father walk into danger by running away and then blaming his father for being someone he can't live up to, but FFS he's so irritating. And it would appear he heard his father having a heart attack on the phone and has done nothing whatsoever about it.

SoupDragon · 30/08/2015 10:32

In Louis defence, he was completely pissed and is clearly a vulnerable individual. I imagine that his reaction was probably accurate. At the moment, we don't know what he did after hearing Charlie on the phone. He might be racing towards the hospital... Or he might not!

BatteryOperatedBoyfriend · 30/08/2015 14:00

I reckon Louis might kill himself thinking he may have played a part in his fathers death.

Girlfriend36 · 30/08/2015 15:55

Was Josh a paramedic? Blimey that had got totally muddled in my head! Been thinking it was Charlie for years Grin

LikeABadSethRogenMovie · 30/08/2015 16:23

That episode where Josh's family all died completely traumatized me!

Oodalpha · 30/08/2015 16:38

Ooh lost this thread.

They've been building to Charloe going for weeks. Lots of this place couldn't run without you/he's the heart of this place etc

Quite pleased to see Duffy.

Not interested in the gang war thing. Someone will die there. Fx it's not the pg woman though her dh could go Louise is being primed to save someone too.

SoupDragon · 30/08/2015 16:45

I think Charlie survives but leaves. Clearly he's going whether it's alive or dead given they've shoehorned Duffy into the story! Will he survive and go back to NZ (?) with her?

EBearhug · 30/08/2015 16:52

I thought a couple of weeks ago, he might have upped sticks and gone with Tess. Talking of which, how come no one ever has to give notice and serve it, but just make a big decision and then they're gone immediately? No putting house up for sale or giving notice to the landlord, no packing up the house and getting furniture moved/put in storage/ebayed/freecycled/taken to the tip.

How come that even when they've made that decision, they never come back even for the weekend for things like weddings and funerals of their good friends?
