I think the main thing I like about the Tav is, we talk about what we like, but unlike elsewhere on MN aim to be sensitive to other wenches and not fall out over it. And if a topic of convo is not particularly engaging you, you can just skim over it. I agree, it can get a bit awkward and clubby with politics chat, and sometimes people can feel a bit excluded, which I wouldn't like to see happening. But I also agree people should talk about whatever they want, provided there's sensitivity etc bla bla bla. We are a broad church of wenches but the one thing that unites us is our wenchy state of mind.

I wouldn't like to see any topics be off limits, it could be a long list if we exclude everything that someone objects to or finds dull. As long as we stay respectful (to each other at least ) & the Tavern's raison d'etre (perving over hot beardy fuckers), we should be fine.

Anyhow, I have DD at home today, suspect she is largely malingering, although she does have a nasty cold & judging by the coughing & fidgeting last night, she didn't sleep that well.

Morning all! Not so sunny today, no clothes on the line. However last night DrIssy finished writing the coursework from hell (all his own fault, it was his bloody idea to set a coursework which involved him writing over 1000 lines of Java) and so tonight will be cocktails to celebrate the first night in 10 days when he will not be working until after midnight

OTOH, it has left me free to do much perving in confort of an evening

Meanwhile I was pretty useless at work yesterday due to too little sleep, so now have huge amounts to do today. I was so useless I managed to turn up 40 minutes late to the our Union AGM so missed all the business but did get to hear an interesting seminar by a clinical physiologist about coping with stress (it all to do with attitude and acceptance apparently).

Hope all of the DC are on the mend.
