Here we are again. Grab a Beardy Fucker, pull up a chaise and LetUs (nto) all fall into a drunken stupor.

Start as we mean to go on.

In other news,
Elk, I hope A&E is for a minor problem, and those pictures
Badders at least he's attempting to make it up to you - come join me and Alibabs in the sick bay (have been coughing like a good 'un today)
LetUs - is it sad that the pi day thing made me laugh once you explained it?
Madame hope you're having a better day today?

Baddz · 14/03/2015 14:15

Oh Helen...you have had a shit time health wise recently haven't you sausage?
I just feel like crap. Headache, sore throat.
Bluergh.
Should shut up really.
It could be worse.
It's soooooo cold here today! Have put the heating on again.
One load in washer, one ready for dryer.
Just can't be arsed....
It's a year this weekend since we lost my aunt (dad's sister) and it's hit me harder than I thought it would :(
Bil is now on an insulin drip (his last blood sugar was 27!!!) and they now think that the clot came from his heart and he may have a hole in it!!
Sis bearing up ok. Mums being as difficult as usual.
Might go to bed in a bit :(

Baddz · 14/03/2015 14:16

Elk?
A and e?
Everything ok?

BloodyElkFire · 14/03/2015 14:19

Mum's a faller. Plus she's epileptic and has been having TIAs. Have just spoken to her and she's a bit slurry and has poss fractured her hip. Waiting for an x-ray.

God she's a worry Hmm

BloodyElkFire · 14/03/2015 14:22

How's your BIL physically bads? Does he have any weakness?

Baddz · 14/03/2015 14:28

OMG elk. I'm so sorry. Sounds v difficult.
Bil has right sides weakness but he is walking and eating now.
I think it's affected his social awareness too as he bangs into stuff in his right side if he walks.
The salt has been and said she is hopeful he will get back to what he was...
Hopefully his youth will be on his side.

BloodyElkFire · 14/03/2015 14:45

Could be his depth perception/ spatial orientation, but have they checked his visual fields? He could have a homonymous hemianopia.

It sounds like he's doing well though which is a relief....the danger then is that they'll try to discharge him quickly. Community rehab provision Is nothing like as intense as being an inpatient, but that's what he needs right now.

Baddz · 14/03/2015 14:49

I will mention that to my sis elk, thank you.
I think his left eye looks a bit strange...like his eyelid doesn't open fully?
But...he has had amazing care from everyone a both hospitals.
The NHS at it's best :)

BloodyElkFire · 14/03/2015 14:56

It's bloody brilliant when it works Smile

Lyndie · 14/03/2015 14:58

Does she live on her own Elk?

FancyFancy · 14/03/2015 15:04

Afternoon. Am settled with a Brew trying to mellow out after stropping at the DCs for being late to lunch. I didn't make them any & was sat there pointedly eating my own when they came down. Ungrateful little shits. They're so bad at apologising when they're in the wrong too, it makes me even madder Angry

Off to read the thread...

FancyFancy · 14/03/2015 15:21

Flowers to poorly wenches alibabs, helen & badders, and to elk re your mum, hope the x-rays results are positive.

I'm away the whole weekend of the finale sparks, so if you're cast out then so am I Sad. I'm not even sure if I can make it back in time for the start of the Sunday rewatch. If I don't take my laptop I will at least solve the problem of how to avoid the internet for the weekend though. Hmm

Good Lord helen that sportingactivity goes on, hope you're home soon

I'm not sure issy, but if you were comfortable taking up her offer you could make the biscuit giving a regular thing & hope she invites you in for a Brew one time?

BloodyElkFire · 14/03/2015 15:45

She does lyndie. Fortunately she's close to Dsis who's a SW in older people. She needs sheltered accomm really, but is refusing to consider it.

We lost dad 3 yrs ago and she's so vulnerable by herself.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 14/03/2015 15:59

You haven't been doing brilliantly yourself with feeling rough

^ I told that to post over an hour ago

Am home now Fancy back in front of rugby working.

Baddz · 14/03/2015 16:08

Lyndie · 14/03/2015 16:46

Elk that's a precarious situation I know only too well. Sad Not my own parents thankfully but I see it all the time, it's very hard. Thanks

Baddz · 14/03/2015 16:52

I am having salad for tea.
Christ, I must be ill.....

FancyFancy · 14/03/2015 17:22

Glad you're back home helen

That is canny shopping badders, are there good sales on at the moment?

Morelikeguidelines · 14/03/2015 17:24

My favourite is land of my fathers. I don't even like rugby except the singing!

Baddz · 14/03/2015 17:32

I got a navy dress for £30 - I hope to team this with my black slingbacks and small black bag. It's not a church do..older couple so don't want to over dress iyswim?
I got the boys a pair of black trousers, white long sleeved shirt and tie each.
Which came to £40
Then 2 waistcoats in the sale for £10
Ds1 can wear the trousers for school afterwards :)
I have another wedding to go to in June so dress will do for that too.

FancyFancy · 14/03/2015 17:48

That's my favourite too morelike Grin

It all sounds very smart *badders, and just right if the wedding is not going to be a big fussy affair.
