Loved the fighting, loved the doctor, loved Dog (OMFG when he was taking his gloves off at the end - gulp), loved Athos, loved Queenie slicing Rochefort's eye.

Next week looks incredible.

I dunno about this episode, bits of it was good, some bits were ridiculous and the pacing didn't seem right. Just seemed like musketeers by numbers.

I did like the whole 'my house-that-I-don't-want is bigger than your-house-that-you-don't-want' with Porthos and Athos

I really liked it!!!!! Much better than the stupid eclipse/fate one.

The post watershed is clearly for the subject matter and the violence, not the sex. Which is a little disappointing.

That was indeed an excellent line from Porthos about his house to Athos.

Great! Enjoyed the episode but now they're leaving us on a massive cliffhanger and we not only have to hang for two weeks, as of next Saturday we have to avoid twitter, facebook, tumblr and the internet in general. Guess we will just have to hang out here on MN and ban all Americans and non UK Europeans who will be six days ahead of us getting the next episodes until after the finale!

I don't actually think Dog was being a twat. If we frame it RL then yeah she has to mourn but no reason they couldn't marry after that period. What she actually did is societally worse. I think he had to give her the ultimatum. He has told her a billion and one times that he loves her/wants to be eith her etc.

I was actually [shocked] that Le May made his move whilst she was mourning.

And I preferred her black dress.

I made actual noises when Connie was being all teenager to Dog. Then I clapped.

I also applauded Queenie stabbing Rochefort in the eye.

I know they were trying to do it differently this season with an overarching storyline (Rochefort) running through the series, but they either need to up their game for S3 or go back to one story per episode, because mini-plots plus overarching storyline shoehorned in together don't seem to be working terribly well. Dunno. It was fun, but a bit clunky too. Agree with Mouse - musketeers by numbers.

Dh asked me waht happened last week and I struggled to remember. Do I need to hand in my wench badge?

I hate comic relief, why can't they move the Musketeers to BBC2 or something and let people who enjoy crap telly watch comic relief instead of removing anything good on a Friday evening. I hate watching overpaid celebrities trying to make people with less money feel guilty.

No, I think Dog was being a twat. She's just buried her not-at-all-loved husband and she's bound to need a bit of headspace. What's wrong with 'take your time, you know I love you' instead of stropping off about how 'I might not be around by the time you've made your mind up'. Idiot.

Elk we just need to keep rewarching 'The Return' and you at least get a bit more chestage from Athos.

Speaking of Athos, he left his hat behind in the house of dubious auctions in this episode and his jacket went missing for 'The Return'. that must be why he had no money to pay Milady with this time - it's the constant replacement of uniform eatign it up

I feel the need for a rewatch to see if the hat was brought out by Dog....

I don't know Mave something Scottish maybe? I'll investigate!!!

I also loved Dog's cloak in the graveyard scene. Yum.

I'm worried about how that boy is growing on me..
