Ooh, look, it's nearly time for a new thread and I'm the only one still here slumped across the bar. I think this place needs decorating ...

Absolutely, letus. My bof list from marvel is loki, the winter soldier, Quill and errr…rocket Raccoon (he makes me go all wibbly when he catches the gun and goes 'oh yeeeeeaah'). I wouldn't kick Hawkeye out of bed either.

Obviously, I like my men morally ambiguous Grin.

FancyFancy · 01/03/2015 17:48

Yes the perving pics would be a little inappropriate wouldn't they? There are quite a few posters on there who accept they don't know everything & that their experiences aren't universal & are seeking to be educated (even the one's who are obviously already pretty knowledgeable) I still haven't been brave enough to post though Blush

muffinino82 · 01/03/2015 17:48

Daffodil Dydd Gwyl Dewi Sant hapus i chi gyd Grin Daffodil

Ah Bucky - He's very pretty in the comics as both himself and the Winter Soldier outs self as someone who may fancy comic book characters Blush He's Marvel's answer to the wonder that is Nightwing, aka the first Robin, and they're both magnificent Grin

I wasn't able to do much cavorting on horseback today as my hunting cob has had an allergic reaction to something and come out in a rash so all I could do was sling some anti-histamines & nappy rash cream at him. The Welsh cob is supposed to be in the process of being brought back in to work but it was very wet & windy today, so I thought it best not to ride a hot young horse who hasn't been sat on in months in the name of self preservation!

But I did take some of the deep litter (wet straw build up in a stable) out and sewed a horse rug up, so have a small sense of achievement horses are such a glamorous life choice

You'd have to beat norah to him muffin. Her bosoms are…legendary Grin. What do you do btw muffin, do you work in a riding school or own a stud farm ?

fancy I do feel like such an ignorant fool with some of the very intelligent FWR lot.

FancyFancy · 01/03/2015 18:03

You're not alone in that mouse, some of the terminology can be off-putting for me, but I do read threads fairly regularly for the education Grin

I've started on the welsh cakes, so will be absent for a few minutes as my hands will be mucky Wink

Travelledtheworld · 01/03/2015 18:06

Greetings Muffin for I am also a horsey wench.

Just caught up after a couple of weeks absence (where I was required to do duty at Wolf Hall.)

Great episode. Back on tracks with lots of violence. Stabbings galore.
Made my toes curl when they were extracting the musket ball from Trev and LOL to Porthos looking squeamish in the background.

I'm not gifted in many areas but in the norks department, I take on all challengers

mouse I'm a civil servant Grin I have two horses of my own, a piebald show cob who acts as my hunter and a young Welsh cob who will be my show/dressage horse. I did work in a riding stables during university and later worked as a groom with driving horses (scurry ponies) but now riding is my past time. But it's a way of life nonetheless Grin

MavisGrind · 01/03/2015 18:24

"Obviously, I like my men morally ambiguous Grin"

Oh, me too Mouse in rl too it would seem

Evening all. I have decided that henceforth I shall do fuck all on Sundays except slob about on the sofa MNing and eating bourbons.....I could not be fagged to do anything today so I haven't

I shall be re-watching at nine, see you then.

LetUsPrey · 01/03/2015 18:25

My knowledge of horses = powerful and nice to look at, but I do like the horse talk in here, even though I don't understand it like much of life really

I love the Marvel films, but I only know the characters and stuff from the films and not the comic books or anything. Captain America, Bruce Banner, possibly Thor, Ronan, and Agent Phil Coulson makes me have a bit of a moment sometimes.

FolknNorah · 01/03/2015 18:50

No need to fight. Hmm
mouse and I will let you all play when we are done. #lokiandwintersoldierbucky.
(WSB) from now on I think.

I like falcon too. He's cool.

FolknNorah · 01/03/2015 18:52

Argh, forgot the Grin as well. Now I just look like a grumpy arse.

FancyFancy · 01/03/2015 19:08

Welcome back travelled

I do like the sound of your new plan for Sundays mavis. Good choice of biscuit too.

Welsh cakes are done & cooling on the rack. Time to finish cooking dinner. See you all at 9pm hopefully

Enormouse · 01/03/2015 19:08

doesn't he put you in mind of an older, more rugged, able to grow good facial hair, dog?

Yy to falcon. But a lot like war machine/American patriot.

Where do you stand on RDJ norah and similarly geeky wenches?

Enormouse · 01/03/2015 19:11

What are Welsh cakes btw? Are they like pancakes or scones?

I'm supporting the Welsh contingent by watching Timothy Dalton in the living daylights. Daffodil

muffinino82 · 01/03/2015 19:16

mouse Welsh cakes are 'Picau ar y maen' in Welsh - basically butter, flour, sugar and raisins cooked on a hot stone by your mam Grin they're delicious. I have heard some heathens people put jam in them but there's no need

LetUsPrey · 01/03/2015 19:17

RDJ is a no from me, as are Hawkeye and Winter Soldier. They all strike me as on the shorter side, although I definitely see the attraction IYSWIM.

Ah Timothy Dalton. He was one of my first TV crushes when he played Mr Rochester in a BBC production of Jane Eyre in the early 80s.

I too like Mavis's Sunday Plan.

MyVisionsComeFromSoup · 01/03/2015 19:37

can I suggest Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) coming soon to Amazon Prime as another billowing shirt type?

IssyStark · 01/03/2015 19:39

Mavis'sSunday Plan is a winner, although I might alternative between bourbons and plain choc digestives.

I also know little of Marvel films and only catch them on the box. DH is a comics buff but of the independent variety of more of the Watchmen, GhostWorld or Maus variety.

Horses I used to do as a teen and had a summer job mucking out etc at a stables but not much for the past two decades. Would love to ride again regularly if only I had the money. Would have the money if didn't have the dc, would probably get more sleep and have a social life to speak of if had a horse instead of dc. Hay ho, one can dream...

IssyStark · 01/03/2015 19:42

Oh and Timothy Dalton in that Jane Eure with the wonderful Zelah Clarke (who never got the number of parts she deserved).

MyVisionsComeFromSoup · 01/03/2015 19:43

I'm still doing in depth research into the appearance of MW's moobs btw. They look to be there there in 2011 when he was in Cool Hand Luke, just need to track back a bit and see what shirtless photos I can find without making my search history too horrific as the DDs use this computer as well.

FolknNorah · 01/03/2015 19:56

Yes leaping you may! Grin how are you? Did you watch on Friday?

I don't fancy RDJ. I know that, but I like his tony. < marvel film buff>

Hawkeye is probably short, which is fine for me, but WSB seems taller. Hmmm, hang on. I'll go and google some more... Wink

muffinino82 · 01/03/2015 19:59

Issy unless you count getting ridiculously pissed at the hunt ball

FolknNorah · 01/03/2015 19:59

hmm. I quite like this

Yes, clean shaven etc....but....
