Cycling was excellent last night - Laura Trott is just awesome, scarily focussed and wiped the floor with everyone . Some enormous lycra-clad thighs from the male sprinters too . Was a long day though and we didn't get home 'til nearly midnight.

So relieved you saw book-Aramis as I did anne, I've seen very few reviews that agreed with me and I was beginning to think all the perving & in jokes here had affected my reading of the book Athos always smirks at those points in the book too - he knows the truth!

Morning. Oh god I am waaaay behind in the laundry off. One load of towels done and in the dryer, load of shirts and whites in. In fairness I didn't get out of bed until 9.30 as DS and I watched CBeebies and snuggled until Katie Morag finished. Just lovely.

Kingy dying was based on JessP suggesting someone had died "sad day on set" tweet and also Ryan tweeting at about the same time that he had just "fallen asleep" in the Royal Bed while filming (aka he carked it but knew Jess would kill him if he said it). Also with him doing well in the Hobbit films he is probably the most marketable of the lot of them right now and if he has sense he'll be trying for Hollywood, not the BBC in Prague. Plus not sure how much more of him being a stupid twat the show can really take. Mazarin was First Minister after Richelieu died, he also helps the Queen be regent to Dolph when the King dies. So for Mazarin to be in S3 then Kingy probably needs to be dead. It's a really good plot development story arc I think. Helping Queeny rule despite the riots and uprisings that happened. Aramis being all noble and protective.....

That said now MrBon has died maybe he was the sad moment, Ryan did just fall asleep after a hard night partying and throwing up on church steps and Hollywood don't want him anyway so he is in S3 and I'm totally wrong. The history would be totally out of kilter for them to write in Mazarin but then technically Dolph shouldn't be born yet and Cardinal should still be alive. So who knows?

Sounds like a great night flopsy to help with the after-effects.

I'm really enjoying all the plot speculation - think Kingy dying would be a great plot development because of the subsequent Regency (would be sad to see him go), but I honestly have no idea.

Right, I do need to get organised, DD is going to the football with ex this afternoon & DS has his I-will-not-admit-this-is-my-girlfriend round for a film marathon & dinner. Shit!!!! I have done nothing and have been sitting at the kitchen ingesting caffeine in various forms all morning with two books that have nothing whatsoever to do with any essays or dissertation and a notebook where I am writing what hobbies to spend money on if I don't become a teacher. Currently, I will have three degrees, a qualification from a Parisian university, two MAs and write 3 books.

Whilst I plan making myself possibly the most unemployable, overqualified PA ever I have failed miserably as domestic goddess and parent this morning.

Comtess - potentially in for another rewatch tonight. The I am banning rewatches given a deadline is fast approaching - again.

Fancy, I think team Aramis share a lot of opinions. I do think Kingy might die though and I bea I looked up about Musketeers marrying and the real Dog did so Dog and Connie could I guess, although now she is a widow so they have to wait the mourning period so maybe that's where much if the angst in their relationship will come from.

fighty scene. my favourite so far (even beyond series 1 episode 10 - underneath the carriage to meet Milady and constance); only because they were ALL so brilliant.
Dog was fab, Porthos was brilliant, Santi was so cool, Athos was great. They were All equally fab.

Yes, just like in Open All Hours. They are not as magnificent as Norah's but they'll do you till she arrives.

Yay for a Dog and Connie wedding. She could wear flowers in her hair and it could be in the forest in summer like in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. Athos could give her away and look solemnly at Dog. Porthos and Aramis can do that nodding with an amused smile thing they do so well. Little children (including the boy from Athos' village) could run happily amongst the crowds, there can be flagons of ale and even a maypole. Total bucolic type stuff.

Kingy did also spend most of the epsiode in bed. I honestly don't think any other main character is going to die this series. I think it was Bonacieux. Not sad for us obviously but given he has been in the show from Ep 01 S1 it would be a sad day for the cast on set. He's probably a nice guy in real life.

Chaise - the episode 10 is still my fave and it had the brilliant fighty music, but this weeks fight was epic. I particularly liked it when Dog ran through the carriage kicked the guy out then elbowed another as he left.

Fighty Porthos and Francesco. Oh this fighting is fab. Porthos looks all big and masterful.
