Thank you ladies for your kind words. Yes orphan, the police were waiting when the train arrived at the station and the idiot was arrested. They've taken a statement etc from dad and a couple of witnesses, so will see what comes of it.

Have had a large glass and now going to hit my pit to try and stop being so caught up about it. DH is away for work, so I am sorely lacking in adult company! If only CJ wasn't stuck on a flight right now!

Pixie don't suppose you will be able to read this for a while but I just loved how you met up with CJ at the airport etc. Bet you got extra special attention from the stewards and stewardesses. Did CJ behave himself? Maybe he's been so tired that he was happy to sleep?

I agree with everyone else though that a holiday ff would be amazing!

I think ignore and delete nipper. No reaction and nobody seeing the comments ... Hopefully she or he will give up? What's the point then.
I hope you guys know that you and your stories are awesome, and a negative comment by someone who only ever leaves a negative comment doesn't mean a thing. What makes me laugh is that they are obviously reading the stories!

Ilove you can report abusive comments but if they have come from a guest i.e. without an account I don't think they can be traced by the administrators - I say that but no one can go anywhere these days without leaving some sort of trace but it would have to be something verging on criminal to merit going that far. If someone with an account is abusive I think they can be blocked from the site.

I've deleted it. Can't block or report users unless they are logged in. 'Rach' operates as a guest but types her name. I know I shouldn't let it bother me.... Easier said than done though.
Trying to focus on next chapter, but it needs some dialogue and I really struggle to write it.

Nipper don't worry about it. It didn't even make sense! The views of the vast majority who have commented are what counts. This 'person' is just doing the rounds for their own warped amusement.

Her comments are almost laughably ridiculous, though obviously upsetting for the recipient. The ones she left markab were so horrible I was really shocked at first, but now that it's clear she's doing it for, as rhubarb says, 'warped entertainment' they've almost lost their shock value. It's predictable and truly pathetic.

Having said that, I've just read rach's latest comment on poor Markab's story and it is horrible and I feel a bit depressed about the whole thing. What on earth makes someone want to do that?!

I agree of course that the comments to Markab are vile and ridiculous in equal measure. Perhaps he thinks leaving them will just highlight how stupid they are.

I agree with you orphan that the whole thing is depressing and off putting. I was on the verge of posting a new slightly 'silly' story on FF today more for fun than anything else but have put it off because of all of this and I am reconsidering whether to bother.

Changing the subject, our kids had a famous tv celeb/writer in school today for world book day, who is the grandfather of one of the girls in littlies class (best not put who, just incase im not supposed to, but one of his characters names is similar to baldridge ... Oh yes, like the connection to CJ there?!). Anyway, was littlie impressed? .... On yes, but not with the fact that he was famous, an author, on TV etc .... Se was impressed that her friends granddad was allowed to come into school and come into her classroom. Kids! DS was very impressed though, got his autograph, shook his hand and said "Mummy, I am never, ever washing this hand again!". Bless!!!

I've just read that latest comment to Markab. That is nothing short of offensive.

Rhubarb - please post your story! You can delete any vicious, evil comments..... She (we are assuming it's a she?) must be a very sad, twisted individual.

rhubarb please don't listen to this one person. I know it is really horrible, but please don't take it to heart. From what I can see they are just doing it for effect and to upset people, for whatever warped reason, and as it is happening to everyone please believe that it isn't anything to do with what you write. I completely understand your hesitancy, and ... as much as i would love to read anything you have written ... you shouldn't post anything until you are ready, but i genuinely believe that these comments and this person should be ignored. Sorry, I'll get off my soap box now, but it just makes me so cross that one person is causing so much hurt and upset to my friends. You guys are brilliant, and this persons opinion should mean nothing you. In the words of bs42 (only a few more days to go!) he/she is a complete bell end!

Bless you all. To be honest, it's probably made me think a bit harder about it and consider writing a few more chapters first to see if it really is a good idea to publish a story that's not like any of the others I've done. It might not be a bad thing to think twice or three times. This definitely falls into the non-serious category and I can see some people not really liking it much which was already a concern before this, so it might not have been a bad thing to be put off today. I did consider only posting it here because I know you lot will get it but can't be sure about others. However, after setting up an account I found google docs baffling and gave up.

So have girded my loins (no not a euphemism I know I am not on CJs tour list!) and de-lurked to add my support to all the fantastic ff writers on here, which I am totally in awe of, although dp isn't as his Xmas present of a kindle is still languishing in a box somewhere!! Having read some of the negative reviews recently (I think we all know who I am talking about) I thought I should put some bloody effort in and post something and thought as a start I could do it collectively here! All the stories are amazing and even if they weren't as others have said I would stop reading not leave nasty and frankly pointless comments. I take my hat off to anyone with the imagination and guts to post on ff and I for one thank you for keeping OG alive for me at least. Please keep them coming!!

Had a friend over this evening for wine and catch up chat so ive been awol from chat. But i am astonished by the reviewer on FF. I know that she is just a troll and quite frankly who cares what she writes, but it is upsetting and I can't quite beleive how anyone could be that hateful. I am sure she is just jealous of all the most amazing FF writers there are on the OG site. Clearly she is lacking something in her life. rhubarb don't be out off by her, your writing incredible!

I wonder how pixie is getting on with CJ, she must have a very accommodating partner!

nipper I know it's easier said than done, and I would feel exactly the same, but please don't let this person bother you. You did the right thing deleting. People like that are only after a reaction, it's like oxygen to them. There are so many brilliantly supportive people on here and on the ff site, just concentrate in that and don't let it be overshadowed by a mindless idiot.

stumpy I think your neglected kindle is a problem common to us all. I have a pile of books and dozens of kindle downloads, all unread. I am slowly making my way through Wolf Hall. It's really good, but if there's new ff to read then there's no contest!

I think it would be best to delete her/his reviews and not even acknowledge them in any way. On our one (which SPO) uses, I setvit up to review the reviews first. I've not seen any yet from her/him on there.

Thanks for the kind words ladies and offer of help for google docs Nickel. I'm going to write a bit more or possibly all of it first and see what I think when I've done that.

Jen sorry to hear about that incident with your Dad. It's just beyond belief sometimes. I'm glad there were witnesses and I hope that person gets what they deserve! Thankfully, you can still rely on the vast majority of the public but it does shake you when something like that happens to nearest and dearest. Hope he's OK.
