Jim Branning. Husband of Dot and father of Max. He had a stroke in real life a few years ago so has been 'in a home' off screen on the show since. He died in real life last year. He dies in the show soon as well.

Yes, I read about Jims funeral. Apparently they asked his real family if they could mark it on eastenders and I think they are going all out for it.

I think Kats acting was much better last night-back to how it used to be. Nice to see the softer side to her rather than the shouting/screaming we have had.

I thought she was going to bring the wrong child home from nursery too.

We've been overwhelmed with the EE children the past couple of weeks. Even Oscar, last time I saw him he was in a pram.

Just read spoilers on DS, for next two weeks, doesn't look like there'll be a lot of laughs.

If Kat's so poor, how come she's had 3 different prams for the twins? She's had an Oyster Max, a side-by-side one that looked similar to a Baby Jogger and a new tandem one tonight (I only notice because I have twins myself and haven't got over the twin pram obsession yet!). . It's crazy, I wouldn't be surprised if they turn up in a Bugaboo Donkey next

That episode should have moved me but it didn't. Can't feel sorry for Alfie and kat. Horrible situation though.

Is it me or are Ian and Jane having moments of black humour concerning Lucy's death? Like when he had the car boot open and Jane said she'd hold the wreath...they did it with the "secrets" conversation with Cindy too.

Getting pretty fed up of the Kat/Alfie on/off on/off thing. I knew months ago that they would bring them together, because they always do.

Its like they don't think Kat can function without a man! They have no idea how to write for them as separate characters, so have to keep bringing them together.

It's getting boring now.

The last one broke (so I guess was second hand?) so Mo gave Alfie some of Harry's money to buy a replacement.

I'm not sure she can. From the short scene in the pub where she said she put on a persona to deal with the abuse, I think she needs someone to be with as she can't pretend to be someone else when she is alone - nowhere to hide.

I wish they'd let them leave for Hull though. The writers need to leave them alone now.

I laughed when Jane wouldn't put the wreath in the boot i don't know if i was meant to Blush mo bought the double buggy that's how she found out mo had claimed her compensation from her abuse (or did harry leave her money) I am so meh about Alfie saving Kat I think we are supposed to be going Aww, I want kat to be ok on her own too
