Soaps do seem to find a way to have their storylines following real life issues

And 99% of the time they make it so over the top and unrealistic they end up feeding a poor stereotype rather than highlighting the real issue.

I felt like screaming at Sharon through the TV last night.

Denny's badly behaved and she comes to the conclusion that he's inherited his dads temper. Yes right, nothing to do with her parenting.

I really like the Cindy character and feel for her.

Loved Roxy hitting that mum.

It was very sad, thoughtful, poignant when Ian said to Sharon about seeing "the blonde hair" he thought for a second it was Lucy coming home (I thought he was going to say 'my Mum' )

Though I can imagine Lucy looking at Shazza and saying " Pffft thanks for that Dad, like I look anything like her " Hmm

Just been reading about Denise Van Outen's storyline...as some of us predicted, it seems that she's going to be yet another love interest for Albert Square's answer to George Clooney Grin.

I was trying to work out on Friday exactly what about Sharon's hair is so shit. It's like terrible extensions with all the 'qualities' of badly kept hair - all split ends, dodgy back combing and matted masses of knots.

Just looked at the pics and she just looks like herself - I can imagine she will probably just act like herself too. I'm not hopeful which is a shame because I quite like her IRL.

He needs to chop about six inches off it and stop with the ringlets. It looks awful. Roxy mAnages the tousled blonde look. Sharon's always looks overstyled.

And while we're at it, Shabnam needs to burn that nasty baggy brown jumper she wears. She does have some nice coats tho.

Yes and had Ben - so that will knock him for 6 (and Ian) that their mum is alive

Wonder if phil will tell Ian soon. He was going to tell him on his wedding day but IAN had just found out the murder/Bobbie storyline Ian couidnt talk to phil

I assume that's what phil was doing to say to Ian. He said he had something v important to tell Ian. And then we saw phil and Kathy meet in some deserted place

They were divorced before she "died". She went to South Africa with a new partner I think.
