I saw the Poldark trailer last night - it does look good. I don't know if there's anyone to drool over yet though. A lot of mine are slow burn so I will have to see!

LiviaDruscillaAugusta · 20/02/2015 08:38

I shall be spending the day celebrating in the dungeon so please ignore any odd noises you may hear Grin

Did someone say cake? Oh I don't mind if I do! Grin Thanks Norah

Flopsy28 · 20/02/2015 10:25

Morning wenches. norah that was an epic rundown of wenches. I only said 'more' after I'd read part 1!
I've just watched the Poldark trailer and I did indeed pause at 51 seconds ali, ciooooooooooorrrrrrrrr.

Flopsy28 · 20/02/2015 10:25

norah, did you like how I finished the last thread off?

Enormouse · 20/02/2015 10:25

have a great time. I too have a Cath kidston weekender.

Is it TGI Fuckday already Grin? And happy birthday wenches.

Well good news today, the webchat looks likely to be going ahead on the 2nd March. And I've been invited to the amnesty briefing for their 'my body, my rights' report.

Alibabsandthe40Musketeers · 20/02/2015 10:39

Floppers I knew you would approve Wink

Happy Birthday Wenches! I know I have been seriously AWOL for chunks of the year, but I am sooo glad I clicked on that first thread. You lot are some of the loveliest, funniest women I've had the pleasure of talking to and meeting. ILYA :)

Cake Wine and Brew incase it is a little early for wine.

Stinkle · 20/02/2015 10:40

Morning!

Has it really been a year?

I like the look of the Poldark trailer too

Have a house full of kids today, so off to tear my hear out and repeatedly bang my head against the wall

FancyFancy · 20/02/2015 10:52

Morning all

alibabs, you certainly can invite us all to look at that point in the trailer Grin

livia, are you sure you saw the trailer? don't know if there's anyone to drool over yet? Shock

Have a great holiday helen

That's great news about the webchat mouse, make sure you remind us near the time, it sounds very interesting Smile

IssyStark · 20/02/2015 10:53

Morning wenches! Happy Birthday Cake Wine

Loving the Red Scharlach covers Grin

However have a major lack of anything to get myself going today at work (or anything else this morning). Period arrived last night (partly explains the crap sleep this week) and I just want to curl up and snooze all day but am stuck in work where snoozing is distinctly frowned upon.

Plus lost my temper at ds1 this morning when he started on his grudging getting dressed routine which involves slowing taking off every item of clothing and dropping them between the living room and his bedroom #badmummy I then revoked the promised Chinese takeaway we were going to have this evening, meaning I will now have to cook #stupidcuttinghernoseofftospiteherfacemummy Am wondering if I can just claim I forgot (given my lack of sleep nt that unlikely in reality), and if ds1 calls me on it, then I could reward his honesty by reinstating the takeaway Hmm

FancyFancy · 20/02/2015 10:54

Oh, and I'm not put out at all norah, don't worry Grin

IssyStark · 20/02/2015 10:56

Also looking forward to Poldark, 'though a bit worried about possible dodgy Cornish accents.

Congrats mouse on date for the webchat and the invite.

Ali it's never too early for wine in my world - you just vary the type of wine. Bubbly is, I think, the perfect breakfast wine Wink

Stinkle, commiserations. Just keep thinking of this evening and relative peace, quiet and TM Grin

FancyFancy · 20/02/2015 10:58

Can you make him "earn back" the takeaway issy? Set him some jobs to do - if he does them you still get your takeaway AND the bonus of jobs done.

Enormouse · 20/02/2015 11:05

I always assumed that breakfast was the only time you could drink bucks fizz.

I'm having visions of Bernard black and his modest selection of breakfast wines.

issy I agree with fancy. Get him to do stuff round the house. Win-win.

Alibabsandthe40Musketeers · 20/02/2015 11:05

issy are you new or a name changer? Give me a clue Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 20/02/2015 11:15

Alibabs she's a newbie.

I think I've given up on packing. If we haven't got it we'll have to buy it when we're there. DH still stuck working so he hasn't finished packing either. DS having meltdown because he got a code for a lego minifigure game online and now it's sucked him in and he neeeeeds me to pay money so he can do/get more stuff/levels etc.

Stinkle · 20/02/2015 11:18

Issy unfortunately 50% of them are staying here tonight.

Although they are going shopping soon, once they've finished getting ready - the hair straighteners are on overtime and there's so much Charlie Red being sprayed around I'm scared I might suffocate

Oh how I love teenage girls

Alibabsandthe40Musketeers · 20/02/2015 11:19

Thanks Helen

Hello Issy, and yes I agree with you about bubbly being excellent for breakfast Grin

Helen when are you supposed to be leaving? It will all be worth it - think of the snow and the beer and the ski instructors

My day is off to a good start - instead of the usual middle aged man delivering my shopping from Waitrose this morning, there was a stunningly handsome 25 year old on my doorstep. I've clearly been reading too much Tavern Lit, because all sorts of unlikely scenarios popped into my head Grin Blush

ApricotCrush · 20/02/2015 11:26

Good morning wenches, and Happy Birthday. Cake Brew

Norah thank you so much for all those first posts, I did enjoy reading them. I'm glad you saved them until now. Grin

Happy hols to those who are going away.

Are we all ready for tonight? Grin
