Morning everyone

Oh god norah I feel really inadequate now. I've managed to erm, have breakfast, feed the cats & get the kids out of the door on time. Actually I did also manage some sympathetic mothering as DD's mouth was hurting from the brace this morning, so I've also doled out hugs and painkillers.

I did have a small chuckle at something in the book I'm reading (about the Burma campaign in WWII), one of the Chindits said "Wingate said that beards would be allowed. I personally would not allow mournful beards. I insisted that we should have aggressive beards, like conquistadores". So no Athos beards then, just Aramis ones

Have a morning of cv reading & interview planning lined up - am helping with interviewing at school on Friday. Have a lovely day

I do like history books madame - especially WWI & WWII (seems I like a man in a military uniform, who'da guessed? ). This book is in the Forgotten Voices series, so not too taxing, but I'm not very knowledgeable about the Burma campaign so have found it harder to get into. I've found it easier to read more now the DCs are older & not constantly interrupting .
