S'okay Madame Grin. In for a penny - I remember watching Britain's Lost World (two of the presenters were Steve Backshall and Dan Snow - double win) about St Kilda. When the island was populated, they ate a lot of puffins. Barf.

Better get on with stuff. I've not even put a wash on yet

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 22/02/2015 10:36

Morrrrning. Have caught up. Shipping all makes sense now! I knew what it meant, but didn't know it came from relationship .

I am doing a rewatch tonight as oops, i 'forgot' to shout up to DS1 to come & watch on Fri night. Am I the only wench to really enjoy that episode? I for one can't wait

OK, I'm reading RedScharlach's review & have snorted already at Aramis supporting the Queen with the contents of his pants.

"more left-field pairing of Rochefort & porthos"

Let's face it, it's probably not the first time he's woken up with an aching head, a few minor flesh wounds and a grim-looking bird on top of him, is it

Sorry, am doing a review commentary here.

Briiliant, just brilliant Grin

What Athos' mouth says vs what Athos' look says

God? Aramis? The same thing surely?

Morning!

We did a rewatch last night, third time for me, second for DH, he slept through most of the first. Shock I do think it gets better every time, particularly as I'm now looking out for the funny lines and meaningful looks.

Lovely one-wench commentary Flops. Grin

Well done Anne on decision making on the job front.

Good luck Carolina with clothes shopping and interview.

Sparks I did the phone thing with SIL, who I don't see very often, last week. She said, "Is his hair like that in RL?" "Well actually... "

AnneOfAramis · 22/02/2015 11:30

Oh gosh what gifs you bring Sparks.

Thanks for all your well wishes wenches. Secondary is my aim, maybe I am mad. Haven't told DH yet about getting a part time job and just read my work emails and looks like more will be available there than I anticipated. I'll work it out.

I meant to repost this

AnneOfAramis · 22/02/2015 11:31

Oh Carolina ... Good luck.

FancyFancy · 22/02/2015 11:33

Morning everyone.

Interesting your friend was so unaware of TM sparks - doesn't say much for the BBC promo work does it? I enjoyed the episode too - some excellent fighty Aramis, Milady was great & Dog was attractively lit for much of the ep Grin. I shall rewatch tonight as an end of holiday treat.

Ooh, a job interview carolina, best of luck with that & with finding the right clothes today.

As it's Sunday I shall be doing a special washing ritual (bleaching all the school shirts, washing then ironing them) in order to ensure the safe return of the Laundry Goddess Badders at the end of Lent.

MadamedeChevreuse · 22/02/2015 11:35

That is the most eastern european-looking baby Ive ever seen. I know thats where they're filming, but a cute little brown-eyed spanish baby would have been sooooo nice...

MadamedeChevreuse · 22/02/2015 11:37

Off on a day out to the big smoke in a bit, so over and out for today most likely. Have good days all.

LetUsPrey · 22/02/2015 11:57

Enjoy your day out Madamr

Third one down in particular - melt

Lyndie · 22/02/2015 12:03

Thanks Chaise she is fine. Just a vomity thing for the first day, and then modifying plans to avoid others! And the fear that we were all going to get it but we're fine so fingers crossed!!!

We actually had a really good day on Friday up a very remote Scottish Glen. Smile

Carolina good luck!!

Tell me about bleaching school shirts please

Lyndie · 22/02/2015 12:05

Ooh have fun Madame!!!

LetUs St Kilda is fascinating isn't it?! And not the Steve B bit!!

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 22/02/2015 12:05

Oh FFS. That 3rd one down.

Adrian. Oit, Adrian before S2 ends and he ends up in the Bastille or banished to a monastery or something could we have him topless in bed, baby just in his nappy asleep face-down on his chest? You know, a bit like an Athena poster? Thanks muchly.

OP posts:
MavisGrind · 22/02/2015 12:21

Arf, at 'a bit like an Athena poster'...... perhaps we could have a 3D version which we need to stare at (y'know, like the dolphin pictures)

Weather is bloody awful here today so we're having a Lazy Sunday. This appears to involve a soundtrack by Stampy Longnose so I'm hiding in another room.

So far I've hoovered the house but I think that's going to be the extent of my usefulness.

Interesting RL/TM crossover this morning - on my Hamlet course a couple of posters were talking about productions using Original Pronunciation and it featured info about the 2004 Globe production of Romeo and Juliet starring our very own Tom. Apparently they performed a modern speech (but still using Shakespeare's text) version and a few performances with Original Pronunciation (which, basically, sounds like it's translated into Pirate) - so the clever soul had to learn 2 versions of it.

Right, off to make lunch. Have a good day all.

HannaCotta · 22/02/2015 13:12

Morning wenchi

Happy Birthday!!! Cake Wine

It was my thread birthday on Friday, and I didn't even get to frigging watch it! Well not this week's anyway, but last weeks got rewatch, so I had a little moment to myself as Athos was unbuttoned to the waist GMTRH

Still not watched Fri's, FML, but will hopefully get to enjoy it tonight.

I did however have the most delicious dream about Tom. We were going steady and it was all deep and meaningful looks, promises, hand caresses and lots of snogging. No sex, just LOADS of lovely intimacy So today I am floating around on a cloud of pretend/dreamt love. Woe betide any twat badger who gets in my face today and tries to burst my bubble. Grin Grin Grin

Lyndie · 22/02/2015 14:08

Sounds lovely Hanna, I wish you could bottle that post dream glow!!

Carolina2015 · 22/02/2015 15:08

Back from shops. I shopped, lunched then shopped again. Got a simple black jacket to go with trousers I already have as still losing weight so didn't want to go whole hog and buy a suit that may not fit in a couple of months. I have a white blouse and some killer boots already.

I had to rescue a leather jacket that had been reduced from £70 to £35 and then final clearance £15 !!! Couldn't pass that up. As I had the jacket had to buy some new black jeans to go with it. Well I did... didn't I ?

Job is still within the company and is a promotion due to a supervisor stepping down. Interview is at 3.30 on Tuesday. Will let you all know how that goes though with internal politics I have a feeling it's already earmarked for someone else. Still... you never know.

Going to pour a glass of vino now and settle down for my re-watch.

FancyFancy · 22/02/2015 15:22

Forgot to say, I think you'd make a great secondary teacher anne.

Hope you're having a good day out madame

I have spent at least 5 minutes staring at that third gif letus, that smile makes me melt every time.

ADRIAN!! What sparks said up thread please. Or nekkid & making baby #2. Or topless mud wrestling with Dog. I'm pretty easy to please.

lyndie - a good soak in laundry bleach & then a normal wash cycle. And that's just to clear my brain from all the norty Aramis thoughts I've just admitted to. Ba Doom Tish. Grin DD's collars were filthy Shock. If you hang them out to dry in the sun, wear shades when you peg out Grin

Hope no-one's ruined your post dream mood, I am Envy at your dream though. In the only dream I've remembered all week (in a week when I was ovulating & hoped for something TM related) I grew a penis Shock It wasn't even a good one Sad

FancyFancy · 22/02/2015 15:37

£15 for a leather jacket carolina? Shock You did well!

Angry at internal politics, but maybe this could remove some of the pressure of high expectations & let you wow them with your wench skills (not all of them obv. Not unless you work in a brothel Wink)

ChaiseLounger · 22/02/2015 15:45

Fancy, laundry bleach? What IS that?

FancyFancy · 22/02/2015 15:56

Mine is a chlorine-free Ecover powder chaise - probably more expensive than bog standard liquid bleach, but I don't trust myself with that stuff, I always manage to splash myself & end up with bleach marks on my clothes.
