Much squeeing and gleeful ticking off of our Musketeers bingo cards by me & DD tonight! Athos snark, Aramis swagger, Porthos threw something, fancy fighty move by Dog & Treville being all commanding. A full house.

And so much pretty tonight. Aramis (naturally), Dog looking lovely in the sunshine & Treville looking all purposeful & manly. I'm going to enjoy rewatching this one!

Loads of lovely wet and dirty Athos but so disappointed that he renounced his title completely in this episode which he never actually did in the books. I quite like the idea of the reluctant nobleman turned Musketeer but still a nbleman at the end of the day and at least he was on par with Rochefort as the Comte de la Fere.

Glad we actually got to see the killing of Thomas.

Loved the romping in the long grass with Milady. Would so love them to go at it one last time for old times sake but it ain't gonna happen.

Treville was amazeballs!

Catherine is a bit of a bitch out to feather her own nest. What a cow she was to the innkeepers daughter. So pleased when Athos informed her she wasn't getting all the land just a share! I'd love to see Milady get her.

I did think it was funny at the start thought with Treville doing the whole "I'm just a musketeer like you now" thing. In case we'd forgotten and wondered why he was shovelling shit. But even though he's not in charge anymore they can all scarper off to Pinon, that's ok

That was a stonking good episode, even Spouse at other end of sofa stopped doing whatever he was doing to watch and voluntarily exclaimed it was good

Mine did exactly the same then grumpily claimed it's because he hates Dog as he's just a pretty boy And as this ep wasn't Dog heavy he enjoyed it more he didn't actually call him Dog but is clearly being drawn in by the sheer masculine vibe

They did take their time saving that poor girl, took them ages! This darker and sexier theme seems to be mainly regarding women? So far we got some naked flesh and now a kidnapped village girl? I was really at that.

Athos was a bit wimpy in the beginning, I really wanted to slap him! But liked his little smile and the duel in the end.

Liked Dog kicking down that wood thingy, really masterful

That was the only sour note for me too ww - rather a protratced reference to gang rape for this sort of programme I thought. Made me rather uncomfortable.

I did like how Aramis was the expert in hiding from men when he's about to be caught in a woman's bedroom though
