DS is trying to get me to help him with a 'horrible science' 'savage spiders' thing which involves building a 'web' out of vast amounts of shering elastic and a plastic frame. I need to remember who gave him that and kill them ask them politely to buy something easier to do next time Hmm

I may just stare at these all day

Or this, he seems to be at the tavern already

Just about to read RedScharlach's review. Comtess your comments have made me Smile as I've just been asked on Twitter if she is me - or at least a wench Shock

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 15/02/2015 10:01

ARE THEY SPOILERISH LetUs? Can I look?

MadamedeChevreuse · 15/02/2015 10:04

Morning!

Good parenting badge for helen. Just got cbeebies on here.

Ok, yes, Jeremy Renner is pretty fine.

letus you didn't watch the whole film?? Flowers what did your think of him it? I'm not sensing major enthusiasm here...

comtesse I think fancys rival rewatch thread is on live journal. Hang on will see if I can find it.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 15/02/2015 10:06

Sparks - someone on twitter asked in RedS is on MN?! Shock Who? Are they a lurker?

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 15/02/2015 10:10

That review was awesome. Her way with words is just fab.

OK, which one of you is her then?

Orrrrrrrrr....come out & reveal yourself, lurking RedScharlach. No need to be afraid, you have fans in here.

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 15/02/2015 10:11

No, it was Lurky who asked Helen. She's always been on Twitter.

LetUsPrey · 15/02/2015 10:15

Pictures not spoilery Sparkle, they're from episode 2 (I think)

I've seen it at the cinema Madame and loved it, but it was getting on for midnight and they were only just reaching Knowhere so we broke there. It'll give us something to watch tonight.

Have forced gently encouraged DS1 to come off Minecraft and do some homework.

MadamedeChevreuse · 15/02/2015 10:21

At Apple she looked a bit unlikely to be a mum to me tbh. (Young, not knackered and stressed) Which doesnt mean shes not on MN, but...less likely.

That review of hers was great. Pun tastic. And provided a FANTASTIC photo of grumpy chops.

Have looked on LJ for that rewatch thread but I can't find it, sorry. Fancy will link later I'm sure. There's a LOT of musketeers stuff there.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 15/02/2015 10:44

Does Lurky still lurk?

Enormouse · 15/02/2015 10:46

I'm starting to feel a bit of rage today. I've spent a week asking Mr M to do the dishes, he hasn't done them and they have spread from the kitchen to the dining room. How is it we're both studying out of the house a pretty much equal amount of time and I end up doing the lions share of the housework and making healthy meals which don't involve pasta, ketchup, chips and beans?

He is bipolar and has been ill but I'm getting fucked off with making allowances now.

Baddz · 15/02/2015 10:54

Oh god, mouse.
That would enrage me too!
Dh isn't bipolar, but he is definately "on the spectrum" so to speak.
Likes routine, doesn't cope well with change etc.
I find with him I have to be really clear about what I ask him to do.
I used to say stuff like "oh, would you mind doing those dishes?"
This never worked.
Next morning they would still be there.
"You didn't day to do them straight away!"

So now is take this line;
"Can you do those dishes after dinner and before ds1 starts his homework please?"
Then he has a timeframe to deal with.

MiladyBeaWinter · 15/02/2015 10:55

It's because you have tits and because of everyday sexism Mouse. Sometimes I think they don't even realise they do it, it's all deeply subconscious and strengthened by stupid twee adverts and probably their mothers.

Have just made a 3D junk model with DS. I HATE craft based homework. Angry

MiladyBeaWinter · 15/02/2015 10:58

I think she does from time to time Helen. Kept wondering if she would come back but she never has. She's very active on Twitter.

Baddz · 15/02/2015 10:58

Ds2 and I are having a baking afternoon mrsb :)
You are right of course. My mil has a lot to answer for! (Mind you my sil is equally useless)
By the time my boys leave home they will be able to cook, clean and iron.
Ds2 is quite partial to dusting for some reason.....

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 15/02/2015 11:03

Bleurgh re. craft based homework. We have number bonds and times tables for homework. Plus a book review and some number puzzles.

FlowersWine to wenches re. housework and DHs. Mine cooks, which is fantastic, but the concept of washing up or even tidying seems to have completely vanished from his brain. I can't remember the last time he put the breakfast things away - despite the fact that he usually uses the breakfast thing that I've just washed up after my breakfast. He also moved the dishwasher from the utility room to the kitchen because then stuff would go straight in and not get piled up waiting to be carried through. Yeah, right. It just gets piled up on top of the dishwasher instead - not put in there for cleaning.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr. etc.

Baddz · 15/02/2015 11:04

Oh god....the piles of stuff on top of the dishwasher!

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 15/02/2015 11:08

I'm in contact with her a lot on Twitter but mostly by DM as it's not err suitable for everyone's viewing

It's a shame she didn't come back cos she's wench through & through

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 15/02/2015 11:13

we're mostly not suitable for Twitter aren't we?!

Right I need to select clothes for today's beach expedition. Have a fun day all.

Enormouse · 15/02/2015 11:14

I just exploded at them all. He has apologised and gone off to do it all.

Big sympathies badders. It must be tough to handle all the time. At least Mr M has good periods where he'll do stuff (though he has lazy, 'that'll do' tendancies) but when he's on a low he hates the entire world and himself and won't move off the sofa.

Everyday sexism has a lot to answer for. Though Mr Ms mum is a 70s feminist and she still works whilst fil is a househusband (a very tidy one who does almost everything).

But I have retreated to the sofa, with chocolate, Sunday brunch and some fan fiction.

MadamedeChevreuse · 15/02/2015 11:15

Putting aside the writing Hmm things im valentines cards, my dp is very good around the house and with ds.

Enormouse · 15/02/2015 11:17

God, yes the piles.

No, love, you haven't dealt with it. It's still there. Still dirty, just slightly more organised.

MadamedeChevreuse · 15/02/2015 11:18

Flowers mouse and mrmouse. Living with bipolar must be awful. Does he sort of have it controlled with med
