so the time is almost here, a week of live episodes and we will find out who killed Lucy, def one of her family and will nasty nick die

I'm hedging my bets on Nick cotton. Just because most other people are taken.

If Jane and Max have an interest in keeping the truth hidden then perhaps it was Tanya? It would explain the random Rainie storyline that has now not been mentioned since. Jane is/was Tanya's best friend, Max will always love Tanya blah blah blah and of course it is now public knowledge that Jo Joyner is returning to the soap but no details have been shared.

I'm down as Jane, but I'm starting to think that Lucy's death was the result of the actions of several characters (Max's attack, Ben's mugging and Peter giving her coke) so no single killer.

I'll be cross if Lucy's death was similar to Emma's and it was ultimately Max who is responsible, hence the "it's still murder".

I doubt it's Tanya. She hasn't been in it since summer 2013 and I think it has to be a character who's been a part of the storyline.

Nick dies before Thursday so it also can't be him! I think him going back on drugs was because of the soap going back to the beginning or paying homage to the first episode as he was on drugs then when he murdered Reg and he's living in Reg's old house now.

I like your theory Magpie, I think you may be right in that there is no single killer but a combination of events which led to her death.
