Been lurking as not watched EE for a few years but watched the last two episodes on iPlayer tonight.

Loved that Nick died in an almost identical chair to Reg Cox in the same room. That was a very good nod to the past.

What I wanted to ask was does Lauren really know who did it? I think all the eye-bulging and knowing looks tonight with Jane made it so obvious that it is Jane that it can't be, if you see what I mean? Lauren isn't the sharpest tool in the box, so could she have got the wrong end of the stick and this is all just a way to put us all off the scent?

AnneEyhtMeyer · 14/02/2015 01:46

Sinister - Reg Cox was still alive when they broke the door down and called Dr Legg, but he died very shortly afterwards.

AGnu · 14/02/2015 02:05

I don't understand how Lauren can know for sure what happened to Lucy just from a phone number. Ok, that could be the scene of crime & therefore hint at the murderer but I can't think of a single place where it could only possibly have been one person. I'm leaning towards it being the Beales' landline number & Lauren thinks she's worked out that Jane must've been in the house to have seen her. All that tells her is potentially the likely 'who', assuming that Emma guessed correctly, but not the 'how' & Lauren's acting like she's got the whole thing figured out.

Jane did make a comment about Ian not being perfect & how she isn't either... One might be more likely to overlook someone's prostitute use if one were feeling guilty about murdering their daughter... Or, y'know, covering up that their son did it... Bobby even spoke tonight! Shock

HoraceCope · 14/02/2015 07:20

oh yes. It could be guilt that Lauren is showing, wish they would hurry up weith it

HoraceCope · 14/02/2015 07:26

i agree though it could be Ian, he looks like a cup shredder

HollyJollyDillydolly · 14/02/2015 08:32

It's definitely leaning towards a Beale...
or is it?!
why would Lauren write in the wedding card that she knew if it wasn't one of them?
Quite looking forward to next weeks episodes now.

Southeastdweller · 14/02/2015 08:53

And why would she suddenly turn back to drink, knowing it could have killed her, if it wasn't a Beale or Branning who killed her best friend?

youarekiddingme · 14/02/2015 09:14

Interesting theory re Lauren.
Could she have been drunk and not realised she did it? That could be why she had a drink the night she discovered Emma's information. And now is determined she can stop. IIRC she was going through sobriety when Lucy was murdered?

youarekiddingme · 14/02/2015 09:16

I'm also warming to the Bobby - Jane theory. There seems to be evidence and motive and post death reactions that back this theory up.

RitaOrange · 14/02/2015 09:38

Im now leaning towards Lauren- she looked totally horrified when Jane was talking about being like a Mum to her/being one of us( Lauren thinking-but you don't know what Ive done Jane)
I think they want it to look like Jane but Lauren did it either when she was drunk or is now remembering pushing someone away etc and now realises its Lucy, who staggered to the common to look for Ian and dies.
Lauren is horrified at what she has done but they are being too obvious in making it look like Jane.

Aaarrrrrrrrrgh!

Dot/Nick scenes- great scenes and "what goes around, comes around" etc

Southeastdweller · 14/02/2015 09:43

The actress who plays Lauren is due to give birth any day now so that would mean she wouldn't be allowed to be in the live bits next week.

RitaOrange · 14/02/2015 09:44

or Grin

Lauren thinks its her but its actually someone else .

Ok my final vote for Lauren thinking its her but really its Denise or Ian

RitaOrange · 14/02/2015 09:45

But they could have filmed some bits already.

Southeastdweller · 14/02/2015 09:48

They wouldn't risk the reveal leaking filming it beforehand - the reveal will be a live insert next Thursday night, I think.

RitaOrange · 14/02/2015 09:51

But she only thinks its her and we have had plenty of hints its other people.
Jane, Denise Ian etc.

Southeastdweller · 14/02/2015 09:56

The BBC have just put on iPlayer a seven minute overview of the Lucy story.

youarekiddingme · 14/02/2015 10:08

Thanks south I'll watch that in an it when my coffees ready!

RitaOrange · 14/02/2015 10:12

Oh fab !

RitaOrange · 14/02/2015 10:15

Now im thinking Lauren writes in the card and leaves because she thinks its her. She didn't seal the card so she could have written it was her, shes sorry etc .
Cue Laurens left etc and no need for any more appearances by JJ.

RJnomore · 14/02/2015 10:30

Came on to say its Lauren but I see you lot are ahead of me!

RitaOrange · 14/02/2015 10:40

Which day is the wedding ?

misstiredbuthappy · 14/02/2015 10:42

How good was last nights episode if its a taster of what we are goibg to be watching next week then its goingbto be good :)

Im still 100% going with Ian.

Although it would be such a shock to be the Coakers as theres absolutely nomotive. I cant think why they are suspects.

What else do you think will happen in the live week ? Im guessing ronnie wakes up and stan dies.

Cooki3Monst3r · 14/02/2015 10:52

Lauren's left?!! What? That didn't happen last night, did it?

And, on a bit of a tangent here, but...

Denise Van Outen = Sam Mitchell, surely??

HoraceCope · 14/02/2015 10:55

that police woman is just foul

WienerDiva · 14/02/2015 10:56

I hope there is another line fluffing like Scott Maslen did! Can't wait!
