Morning! Crashed out ridiculously early last night in DS's bed - just as well, since we have both been up at the crack of dawn yet again.

Had already been cheered up when I woke up and realised that SPO had left a lovely review on ff for me. I feel endorsed by greatness! Thanks SPO! I then read the zombies update and went from cheered up to howling with laughter! Good start to the morning, despite having already been awake for 2 hours!!

Hope everyone had a better valentine's night than me - falling asleep, and spending the night being crushed by a small child wasn't high on my list of desirables...

Nickel has successfully turned my CJ Collective handbook into something to post on Googledocs. Thanks Nickel!! I thought it was just me who couldn't post what I had written on our thread properly but we decided in the end that MN isn't as sophisticated in this respect as we all are. So here it is. I've amended the write up about SPO since he has reappeared so recently! Extra brownie points of course to any of our lovely contributors who have a specific mention.

spo my day is made. Reading your stories should be made compulsory as they have a wonderful effect of releasing happiness endorphins!

The shopping day yesterday went really well. Both girls found loads to buy, stayed remarkably meltdown-free and were in charge of the whole day. My friend and I were left to catch up on gossip and provide the hard cash.

As I was busy yesterday, Valentines chez Orphan, is today. Cue breakfast in bed and meal cooked by dp tonight, together with (I'm hoping) lashings of prosecco. There's still time though for CJ to arrive on my doorstep (KA leather briefs spo style optional) so am checking my swivel chair is in full working order.

I'm shattered this morning as DS came home from the party he went to (only at 11.30) but had too much to drink. Proceeded to be sick most of the night. So I was up all night tending to him, and of course DH never heard a thing! Stinking cold too :(

We are off to some friends that live Saffron Walden today for lunch, so I'm hoping to rest and catch up on FF on the journey. Although running a bit late this morning.

Still no valentines card from CJ/BA this morning......

jen I LOVE your new FF story. I don't know why you introduced it with trepidation! I have left a review, but I'm mobile at the moment and not sure if it logged in as me!

Anyway, with your new story you are filling in all those gaps that appeared in the original series. We all said that it was too quick, so your story is perfect. Lots of chapters please, as I don't want it to end!!!! :)

Thanks ice and richtea. I'm still not hugely convinced on it, mainly because I'm finding it a bit harder to write, which hopefully doesn't transfer as hard for people to read, although feedback seems largely positive, which is encouraging! The story won't get out of my head, so I'm just going to try and get it out there! Trying to set some ground rules with myself, so won't be able to update as often as I have in the past, but will plough on as long as somebody is still enjoying it!!

richtea not sure that it will fill many more series gaps, as the next chapter is set 4 years in the future...

richtea you could have made a detour to see me; I'm not far from Saffron Walden (or Suffering Walden as my Grandad called it - he was stationed there in the war and hated it)

jen your new story is the nuts! I don't know what you were worried about, but please don't be, it's brilliant. I can completely see that happening, CJ being all jealous and stroppy and Molly lashing out; you have written it so, so well.

I've just been to the pictures ...no not 50 shades ... Shaun the Sheep. Oh yes, living life in the fast lane! Too much sugar (when will I learn!) now means one hyperactive DS and one very whiney DD. How long till bed time?!?

jen I love it, fantastic new ff-be proud. Sure I went to Brownie camp near Saffron Walden once.

Loads more fan fic to catch up but no time yet busy trying to tire kids walk - with dog this morning and now off . One joyous consequence of this thread is the unexpected smiles and giggles I have to myself - today I'd popped into macro to be confronted with swivel chairs sadly not with buttons like painted's but made me smiIe no must double away and get swimming things ready the sooner we go the sooner my back and can read ff.

Enjoy swimming. I have my mum visiting which is cool but I am slightly horrified and bemused to discover that she has been using the dog towels in the bathroom!! They do have muddy pawprints on them as opposed to the freshly washed and fluffed towels that she bought me!

jen absolutely love your new story. I'm beginning to sound repetitive, but you are such a good writer and have such a talent for characterisation. I really believe in this CJ and Molly. And I love the idea of songs as titles (a bonus being I love Massive Attack). Oh, dear, a drawback of posting about your ff is the inevitable overuse of 'love'...

Am going to indulge myself and reread lots of the ff now (dp starting to prepare the valentine meal) with a glass or two of fizz. CJ still not made an appearance on my doorstep. cjwoof has been quiet, so I do hope he's not at hers...

We are back on the road home, it's a long way for lunch, but lovely nonetheless. My friend is a massive reader, as I was... She was quizzing me on all my recent reads. I was so very nearly going to come clean about FF, but I just couldn't. DH was there obviously, so I didn't really want to bring up the whole MN OG thing as really couldn't be doing with the while raised eyebrows thing going on.!

Ooh it's been a busy valentine weekend for me since CJ turned up on my doorstep with roses and functioning gadgets orphan but hey you don't want to know all the sordid details. Suffice to say his wrestling robe (red satin) marked "Boss Man" looked good draped over my bedstead...

By the time CJ makes it through you lot he's never going to make it up to Scotland (we'll be lucky if he ever actually makes it out of cjwoofs clutches actually - bet you've got him under lock and key, 50 shades style cjwoof! ).

I'm sure there's plenty to go round Richtea, he just needs to master the art of walking now that I've finished with him
