It's back on Thursday! here. No details of contestants yet. How many men this time? Any?

Ten sewers, six weeks, can't wait!

(Can't think of another word for sewers at the moment, wish I could!)

I can't wait. Love it. I don't know why I like it so much because I'm utterly hopeless at anything involving sewing and can just about manage to sew a button on very messily. Same with Bake Off. I'm rubbish at baking, but I love the programme.

What can we call sewers? Seamspeople? Needlepeople? :)

5Foot5 · 03/02/2015 13:30

Six women and four men - I read it in the Radio Times.

Love this programme!

Lunaballoon · 03/02/2015 13:34

Yay! Very excited here. The last series inspired me to buy a new sewing machine and book some lessons. I've since made several cushions and I've now got my eye on some fabric for curtains!

Greymalkin · 03/02/2015 13:45

I've never watched this but got my first sewing machine this year. Looking forward to learning something and getting inspired!

Roussette · 03/02/2015 14:18

Four men? Now that is exciting! Last year it was just the one and jolly well he did too!

Well done Luna, I'm just a lapsed sewer from a long time ago...

I wish sewers sounded less poeey Institute, perhaps they can be seamspeople...

I desperately wanted my friend to apply, she is soooo talented in this area, but just doesn't think she is, I'm going to keep working on her though Smile

Wasn't there a man who flounced last year, or am I getting mixed up with another programme entirely? Seamspeople a bit of a mouthful. Maybe SP for short? Or just S for sewers :)

LIZS · 03/02/2015 19:48

Wasn't he taken ill during the second day?

Roussette · 03/02/2015 19:57

Oh yes, the older chap went, not sure if he was ill or he couldn't hack it! We were left with the sewing policeman!

There were three men last year. The Buddhist, the young guy and the policeman.

Justwhy · 03/02/2015 20:16

And I think the Buddhist said that part of his religion was about not rushing and doing things calmly and in his own time, which didn't suit the sewing bee!

Roussette · 03/02/2015 20:22

Oh yes, I remember now!

I am so excited for this programme. It is my joint favourite with Bake Off (Comic Relief special next week!). Seven minutes to go....

LetThereBeCupcakes · 05/02/2015 19:56

Can't wait! I sorted out my fabric stash last weekend in preparation.

Roussette · 05/02/2015 19:58

You can tell she makes her own clothes. They're wonky.

Roussette · 05/02/2015 20:06

He looks far more handsome as Mr. Beardy, Anne.
