Have started a new one

Brendan was on in 2013, I think. 'Bout time for an update...

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 30/01/2015 18:21

Am searching furiously on tutu e but can't find poor, sad Brendan. Have found millions of outraged Digital Spy threads about it though!

susiedaisy · 30/01/2015 18:26

What episode was Brendan in ? I can't remember him at all. I feel like I'm missing out. GrinGrinWink

Courtnay was rather fit wasn't he? My take is that the NZ granny seemed to have loads of grandchildren so could spare the UK two for guilt-trip granny. That seems much fairer.

susiedaisy · 31/01/2015 16:23

Ah found Brendan although not the whole episode just a clip from the bbc website, his surname is Morby they were in series 7. I wonder what they did in the end anyone know?

I agree with SwedishEdith. If DD was thinking of emigrating, I'd handcuff myself to her ankle! Fortunately, she's only 10.

Helen Suckling had lovely hair didn't she?

I think the game was over for Courtenay when he met the Kiwi carpenters and discovered the long hours he'd have to put in. Don't blame him.

ToastedOrFresh · 01/02/2015 23:45

What was the name of the family that were contemplating a move to NZ ? I can only watch WDU on you tube and I'd like to be able to find that episode.

CatieBlanket · 02/02/2015 00:12

The Suckling family.

HollyJollyDillydolly · 02/02/2015 09:35

Ooh. Revisited - just tag a little update in the end episode.

123upthere · 02/02/2015 09:42

Lovely mum & son this episode

Sparklingbrook · 02/02/2015 09:43

They have such a lovely bond.

Sparklingbrook · 02/02/2015 09:46

Aww. The animals. Sad Why can't they take them?

123upthere · 02/02/2015 09:47

I do always wonder if family & friends are thinking damn wish it was me going!

EveDallasRetd · 02/02/2015 09:48

I hope a family member took that ageing dog - there is no way that dog would be easily rehomed Sad

Sparklingbrook · 02/02/2015 09:48

They have replaced the dog. Shock

123upthere · 02/02/2015 09:49

It can't have been easy for her but love her positivity!

Sparklingbrook · 02/02/2015 09:51

He is really positive too. How scary must that have been to walk into a new school.

123upthere · 02/02/2015 09:54

She is a wonderful parent just watching how much she listens to him and gives him so much calm attention and time to speak. They'll do very well I feel

EveDallasRetd · 02/02/2015 09:54

He is fabulous. I've never 'seen' a teenager that I liked so much - it's the positivity I think. He's taken the worst and turned it around. Fair play to him and to his mum, what a brilliant job.

WingStalk · 02/02/2015 09:56

'Yeah, definitely. They're much more attractive then our British woman.' Grin Shock Grin

Sparklingbrook · 02/02/2015 09:59

Aww I loved that. Jordan is such a great kid, and they looked really happy.

Jackieharris · 02/02/2015 10:02

That was how wanted down under should be.

I was confused by the salaries quoted though. She could get better than that Aussie salary in other parts of the UK!

I'd imagine you couldn't take pets with you, quarantine and all.

Bakeoffcakes · 02/02/2015 10:02

I only watched the last 10 minutes but loved Jordan and his mum so much. So glad they are happy over there.

How old was Jordan, did he still go to school/college?

Rivercam · 02/02/2015 10:03

Love Jordan. He seems more settled than his mum. Felt a bit sorry though, when he talked about how much he missed grandparents and the natural history museum. I feel it's still early days for them though, and they are still in their honeymoon period.

Bakeoffcakes · 02/02/2015 10:06

When my brother went, he took his dog. It cost thousands of pounds and Sam had to stay in quarantine for quite a while(it was 20 years ago so things may have changed)

I think an old dog wouldn't cope with it all.
