My Mum really laid the guilt on us and made it all about her when we looked into emigrating...it really put the pressure on and took the shine off...Then went abroad herself

She would miss IKEA :) do they have IKEA in NZ?

That makes 0 for 5 for this week's decisions. Down Under not winning anyone.

FB update the mil has moved closer to the family to make sure they don't go. I mean to be closer and more involved with the grandchildren.

I knew her mum would be hard work from the start of the program - that's probably the main reason he wants to go back to NZ!

when the family back home do the guilting to couples who want to move because of bollocks lifestyle, I can kinda get it

but when it's a case like this one, where it's one family in the UK and the other in NZ, I think it's really unfair

They were awfully realistic and level headed, weren't they? How am I supposed to pick on them?

Todays family actually looked at it sensibly at least. Good on the Dad for admitting it might not work.

Brendan was a poor chap in a previous series Lois

Lois Poor Brendan had a wife and three daughters who basically bullied him a lot. She was brainwashing the girls about Australia. he spent a lot of their episode in tears and the wife was 'jokingly' saying she would go without him. Did they go? I thought there was an update I can't remember.

They are a level headed couple and would have a nice lifestyle wherever they were...but will always have the mothers 'dont leave meee' ringing in their ears

I bet they sacrifice kittens at full moon. No-one can be that nice!

I missed the Brendan one as DD was just a newborn when last year's series started. I think she was born two days into the series. Hope I can find it on YouTube

I like the family today. Just catching up now. I know the area well where they live and it's really nice with good schools.
