Thread number one.

So are we all still watching, despite the mumbling, bad writing and inaccuracies?

I'm not sure what ClaireGwen is up to, but they've written her to like kinky sex which in telly land means she's a bad un.

Last night's highlight for me was DH's genuine confusion over whether subtitles were for the hearing impaired or vision impaired (he may have had a couple of beers). Also sweaty Lee hammering in fence posts.

Has that junior solicitor fella been in something on CBBC?

When does The Missing season 2 start?

Joe did it.
Joe did it
Joe did it
JOE DID IT

We saw him do it. He confessed to it. Then he pleaded not guilty because he didn't want to go to prison as a paedo. Not because he didn't do, HE DID.

Grin

That confession got thrown out, in very dubious legal circumstances, so that means the prosecution have to prove he did it, and due to police fuck ups, people lying in the dock, etc it's very much a case of will he/won't he get convinced.

That's the entire point of Broadchurch 2.

So who do you think did it seaoflove Grin.

FoxyMcFox · 02/02/2015 12:43

Yes the whodunnit is the Sandbrook thing surely?

eddiemairswife · 02/02/2015 12:46

toasted When you said 15yr old boyfriend did you mean Tom? Because I thought Tom and Danny were the same age.

What we saw WASN'T a dramatisation of his confession. I watched it a few weeks ago. It was presented as "59 days earlier".

SignoraLiviaBurlando · 02/02/2015 17:56

Oh. I got the wrong naked man blush Grin
Love that line Blondeshavemorefun will find a time use that in RL Grin

I think I have come round to agreeing that in fact Joe did it, but this is more about the messiness that happens after - and that convictions are by means assured.
Usual formula is awhodunnit where Poirot/Marple/Wimsey/my own dear Salvo clear the whole thing up in two hours- end of.
Here is the messy stuff that comes after, and nothwithstanding the legal system nonsense people have spotted - the victims' rellies etc still have a horrible time in the justice system - look at the awfulness we have seen in RL with Milly Dowler family/Stephen Lawrence family etc.
Having been a bit 'meh' with BC2, am coming round to it as a raggedy-edge drama.
And still just love to watch OC, DT and Beth.

Nerf · 02/02/2015 21:13

Oh none of this makes sense. I have officially given up trying to understand it.

Nerf · 02/02/2015 21:15

They aren't really police people when they talk to Claire are they? No notes about the interviews - unless they are recording it all?

lostoncemore · 02/02/2015 21:17

I quite like how it makes you question whether or not Joe did it. Although we know he did, makes you realise how difficult it must be to be on a Jury.

AnnieHoo · 02/02/2015 21:19

I'm confused! are acting as police or pretending to be still on the case? Hasn't miller taken up a post with traffic police and isn't hardy a police training lecturer now because of his health problems?

lostoncemore · 02/02/2015 21:20

Annie - I guess they have leave because of the trial?

SabsFabulous · 02/02/2015 21:26

I'm so confused, but it's got me gripped again! What episode is this, how many more to go?

Because PQ was a terrible witness in court and it was all helpers fault for some reason.

Nerf · 02/02/2015 21:31

Who the hell is she????

lostoncemore · 02/02/2015 21:33

The helper was supposed to prep PQ for the questioning.

AlfieandAnnieRose · 02/02/2015 21:38

Who are the parents of the blonde haired toddler called Fred??

AlfieandAnnieRose · 02/02/2015 21:38

The one that Colman and Tennant are looking after, I don't remember either of them having a baby?!

lostoncemore · 02/02/2015 21:39

Ellie and Joe.

Anyone think Hardy is going to keel over in the witness box.

Nerf · 02/02/2015 21:41

Who was that woman talking to the priest? And why is none of this recorded?

AlfieandAnnieRose · 02/02/2015 21:41

But Ellie and Joe's baby is almost a newborn this one is a toddler?

FredZeppelin · 02/02/2015 21:41

Was also going to ask who baby Fred belongs to!

Nerf · 02/02/2015 21:43

She might realise he was ill if the music was less noisy
