Couldn't see a new Eastenders thread, so I thought I'd start one. Apologies if this is a duplication.

Great to hear Christian could be coming back.

That wouldn't make her a horrible person though would it? I forgot how she described herself.

SymphonyofShadows · 27/01/2015 11:55

Vashta do you mean you actually know what it is?

SoupDragon · 27/01/2015 11:56

Giving away a child might make her horrible to Muslim eyes, especially if it was her egg. I don't know.

SoupDragon · 27/01/2015 11:57

There appears to be a newspaper clipping about her secret so it's something newsworthy and something she wanted to keep a clipping of.

SoupDragon · 27/01/2015 11:58

my "to Muslim eyes" comment should really have been phrased as a question.

SoupDragon · 27/01/2015 12:01

I'm liking the idea of Shabnam having had a baby more and more. It would make sense in a number of scenarios - the clipping could be a picture of "Mr & Mrs X present their newborn to the world" kind of thing and it's the only photo S has of her baby. Whether surrogate or affair this scenario works.

She certainly wasn't shy in pouncing on Kush so she appears experienced.

RedCrayons · 27/01/2015 12:57

A secret baby is a good call, explains why she sponsored Kush for so much money. No way will the BBC go with a terrorist storyline.

Side note, why was she bemoaning the loss of her pharmacy career? She only went for one job. I'm not hugely familiar with the east end of London, but I imagine they've got more than one chemist.

AGnu · 27/01/2015 13:39

Not on the square they don't Red. Shabs couldn't possibly look elsewhere! Shock

Kush is raising money for a children's hospital, isn't he? Perhaps her baby was ill & she abandoned it? Or a combination of affair with rich married man & ill baby? Apparently Stacey is stunned when she finds out - stunned at the awful thing, or stunned because she felt it was necessary to be accepted? Maybe we've got the grandmother wrong & it was money from her to get Shabnam away to avoid the shame, rather than as a rescue. Thankfully this is one mystery we only have to wait a few days to discover!

Just caught both with EE and here.

No idea with the murder storyline and CBA to look at all the links... Blush

The Stan euthanasia thing I think is believable in that it does happen that a massive shower of shit falls on one family in a short period of time (we had a 12 month period that was like a badly written soap opera with one 'disaster' after another).

I think the drama of remembering the past (which was a response to Linda's rape and the reactions to that) has made Stan reflect and realise what he does want.

I have no idea what Shabnam's story is but like the idea of the surrogate baby/unplanned pregnancy/adoption mentioned above. I like her and hope her terrible thing is actually a good thing.

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/01/2015 18:12

thanks for trailer,i watched ee at 5am and then deleted

okeydonkey · 27/01/2015 19:22

I'm thinking surrogacy I think I posted a few weeks ago about that. I agree Agnu's theory

Chipstick10 · 27/01/2015 19:25

If I remember rightly when she looked at the newspaper clipping a few weeks ago she looked pleased almost like she wanted to hug herself or am I completely imagining that scenario

okeydonkey · 27/01/2015 20:12

Yeah Remeber now, like she was anticipating something good or really pleased about something that she's done

LemonBreeland · 27/01/2015 21:08

With the Stan storyline I'm wondering if Stan doesn't have much longer left. A while a go there were pictures of EE filming at a funeral, and I thought it must be Emmas, but obviously not now. So surely Stan is the likely one.

SpanishFly · 27/01/2015 22:08

Is it just me who finds Shabnam intensely irritating? Her ott acting and flailing is bizarre. Regardless of what mood she's in, she goes way over the top.

Mrsjayy · 27/01/2015 22:10

She is a pain in the neck spanish

RedCrayons · 27/01/2015 22:42

shabnam is pretty unlikeable, but I think that's the point. I'm Sure Kush would have given up a long time ago IRL.

RedCrayons · 27/01/2015 22:51

I've just turned on a show on BBC1, Count Arthur Strong And the first Shabnam is on it. Wierd.

Has Alfie got a job? How is he paying Donna rent?

Harrin · 27/01/2015 23:06

Really not liking Max lately either

VashtaNerada · 27/01/2015 23:17

Sorry for being enigmatic Symphony, no I don't know - I meant I'd just watched the episode and was Shock at the snog!

RedCrayons · 27/01/2015 23:18

I quite like mean and moody Max, but I can't work out why he won't give the car lot back.

Harrin · 27/01/2015 23:28

And why does no one ever just say what they mean or what actually happened? Like with Max and Emma's mum and Shabs and Kush?

MagpieCursedTea · 27/01/2015 23:33

I think it's because he's gone into self destruct and just wants to lash out, he doesn't think he has anything left to live for so he's taking on Phil Mitchell. Plus it will probably have some relevance/tie into something in the live week.
