Ha - he does have past form for cougars as well, although the last few have been younger models. I nearly fell off my chair when she mentioned she was born in 1992! Hmm

In fairness, this one seemed like a nice enough girl, and utterly gorgeous, just a bit nervy - what a crap first date to take her on though! A curry with a group of your oldest friends in tow!

Can't even begin to explain my night with my friend that has announced her husband is gay. It would take a whole MN thread called "my husband I have been married to for 25 years and have three boys has come out and said his was gay and had been going out with men/boys who he found on online gay/porn Internet sites"...... Yes one of those evenings!

Sorry lola i haven't read your ff yet but will in the morning, and it sounds hilarious!

Oh richtea what a night :( I hope your friend is ok, I can't even imagine how you could deal with such a shock. Bet she grateful to have you to talk to though. Have a good sleep ... Dream of CJ (after reading Lola's ff you'll be dreaming CJ/KA/David Tennant!!!). I'm hitting my pit too. Night x

Dreamt that CJ was organising DS's birthday party. If anything needs military planning it's that. Especially as I've been up half the night with period pain agony.

jen poor girl, that is a crap date to be taken on. I hope she at least gets a good QF, or better still a slow one out of it.

There was a bit on Women's Hour the other week about people whose husband/wife left them for a same sex relationship, Nickel. Interestingly you can't divorce on grounds of adultery as the law doesn't recognise same sex relationships as adulterous, even in same sex marriages. Seems like an obvious loophole for the legislators to close doesn't it?

Ooh, CJ as a party planner .... Liking that idea. Although I have to say, I do have my reservations as to whether a man could actually do that! Too many things I think about and do all at once ... My DH certainly couldn't! Sorry, SPO, no offence .... Although if you were here you could fight your own corner ... !!Wink. Maybe CJ could be the entertainer .... He could keep the mums entertained, anyway! What a thought first thing on a Sunday morning (not enough sleep, brain not quite fully functioning yet ... Need coffee .... ?)

Sorry, DH with me. We've had big bust up this morning. I haven't know but he has been reading this thread since last week. All a bit crap, and I need to explain to him it's not RL because at the moment he doesn't understand about this. imdont really know knownwhat to say other than its only fun and not real, but he needs to get hismhead around it as at the moment he's so angry and upset with me. Sorry again.

went out last night with friend.. Great fun but am paying for it now.. Nor helped by DS 2 wetting the bed then waking up early.. Still am having nice soak on bath now though unfortunately not a victorIan bath surrounded by candles run by CJ as per one of the fanfics.

DH is a bit bemused by my phone shouting 'Private Dawes' he said it had the wrong name. Might gonna need to change it...

I have the stay focused text alert one ... My DH didn't know what it was about but littlie explained it for him! and she learn what focussed and alert meant, so educational too!

Morning all, just catching up after skimming last night.

Hugs for richtea, and I hope once your DH has calmed down, that he appreciates this as the silliness we all know it is. It is lovely to be able to come on here and have a laugh about silly stuff. I know we get a bit carried away at times, and to a partner reading externally it could be construed as hurtful, but hopefully he will appreciate that it's not RL; just a bunch of women who should know better having a giggle. Big hugs anyway.

nickel thanks for your lovely words re the ff, you are very kind! And RL Chris is 30 (about to be 31). Hubs and I left at about 11.30 last night - my good friend is 8 months pregnant so used taking her home as our excuse for an earlyish exit. Woke up this morning to a complete gibberish, drunken 3am text from him. He was in an odd mood last night and fairly hitting the booze, so not sure he will have been managing any slow or QF's. What a catch! Confused

pixie those cakes look awesome - you are a super mum. If I attempted that, I don't even want to know what the result would look like. Hope the party goes well! CJ as party planner would be amazing - he could use his headset and everything!

Dear Mr Richtea,

Please don't be angry. Think of this like a conversation down the pub, or going out for a coffee with friends. We have a laugh, we have little in jokes between ourselves, we're a bit silly. We also have a bit of a grumble about our kids, work, husbands and MIL's. We support each other, cheer each other up when we're down and encourage each other.
It's harmless fun, just with people you've never met face to face.

Forced out of lurking because I would like to leave a message for anyone reading this thread and who has any concerns about its content or what it might mean in the big scheme of things, to say that this is simply a bit of silly, harmless, fun. We are just a bunch of ladies of a certain age who all have proper lives, jobs, families etc and don't take any of this seriously outside of this jokey little alternative universe we have created. We wouldn't for a minute contemplate acting out any of this silliness in real life (apart from maybe being amused enough to buy some stag printed underwear for our own use!). Sometimes life gets a little bit dull and humdrum and you just need to be creative in a rather silly way and share that with others who won't judge you and lets be honest who don't know you either!

Richtea hope you get things sorted out.

I saw some 'best bits' of reign on YouTube yesterday. It was excruciatingly bad. I really hope BAs part is short lived and he gets a good part worthy of his acting skills soon.
