You have a point Norah.
Everytime the phone rings my heart starts hammering.
That's not a normal reaction is it?
I also get quite cross with myself as I know I am "catastrophizing" things - thinking the worst all the time.
It makes me angry. I used to be a very positive person.
I am assuming I haven't in fact got the plague as the nurse hasn't rang back about me weird wee :)

Baddz · 13/01/2015 14:11

Waterfall?

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 13/01/2015 14:15

There you go Bads - positive thinking already!

Are you friends with any of the Mums in DS2's class? I've found that the best way to find out what DS has been up to is to ask his friends what he did (or get their Mums to ask their DCs what they did). Just a thought...

Must go retrieve washing..... (under waterfall... with musketeers..... Norah how am I mean to get anything done now?!)

FolknNorah · 13/01/2015 14:23

I don't know.......
I only hope that fucking nonny reads it and gets ideas....

Wink I have an image in my head and it won't go away.

rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr4

Sodding stupid cat just leapt onto my keyboard and stopped there. At least Inconvenient Cat tends to look at what he's doing rather than just launch.

FolknNorah · 13/01/2015 15:54

Oh, I thought that was you getting your Horn On. I'm a bit disappointed tbh.

ChaiseLounger · 13/01/2015 15:55

Afternoon.
Fell off last thread, because of inactivity.
Had to find you again.
Hope you are all ok.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 13/01/2015 15:58

Well that's one way of looking at it Norah Grin OTH would be more phwoarghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I think. and not involve a small tortie cat!

How are you doing Chaise? there were at least two links to the new thread on the old one... I think everyone fel off the old thread (oops - shares guilty look withNorah)

Off to fetch DS...

ChaiseLounger · 13/01/2015 15:59

What Apricot wants to happen between Athos and Milady, omg I SOOOO don't want that to happen.

I too was surprised he wasn't more shocked to see her. What happened to' if I see you on Paris again, I will kill you'?

I want his hatred of her to be incredibly intense , and then him find someone lovely and for her to be insanely jealous.

Total opposite to apes . Sorry Apes!!

FolknNorah · 13/01/2015 16:04

They will absolutely do the angsty angry shag with those two. Then Athos can go back to being a miserable drunk tortured soul.

OP posts:
Baddz · 13/01/2015 16:07

They have to, dont they?
The angsty shag, I mean.

MiladyBeaWinter · 13/01/2015 16:13

YYY to angsty shag. I suppose the being ok with it was because they were not actually in Paris?

I also thought Helen's Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr was her reaction to the waterfall image Grin

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 13/01/2015 16:23

Ooooh yes, that's got to be an angry one up against a wall of a stable rather than soft-focus candlelight.

Oh God, you don't think Aramis is going to go as far as shagging the nanny do you? I honestly would have trouble watching that. I'd have to slap a newspaper over half the screen or something.

I'm not sure why it hadn't occurred to me before today that this week's ep may be a v good one for Aramis habla español.

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 13/01/2015 16:28

Oh my Christ.

DD2 had a teacher in Y4 who said to me "come back and see me if she gets really miserable" when we went to talk about how unhappy she was at home about school Shock. We let her finish the week off, then pulled her out to home ed for a couple of years, thankfully we were in a position to do that.

There's been a fair bit of Roquefort dissing on this new thread, I'm not impressed. Just because he's a bit of a psychopath with a stupidly shiney jacket and maybe too high heels doesn't mean you shouldn't all be nice about him Grin. Might have to pack the DDs off to their rooms early on Friday as it does sound like it's going to be more of an intense episode.

Baddz · 13/01/2015 16:39

I think he will shag her.
BUT I also think she will meet a sticky end.
In other news....
My bil is now giving dsis loads of money to spend on the new kitchen so it seems all is forgiven.
Ffs.

Finally catching up from this morning

loving norah's righteous anger @ moaning at women characters in stories & her & helen's assessment of Trevilles appeal & the need to do something about his beard Grin

badders's I very much doubt you've done anything wrong, sometimes they just are clingy . I think norah's advice is spot on (especially the drink bit, just remember to sober up by pick-up time Wink )

Re: getting dcs to talk about school - mine only ever told me stuff when a) it was bedtime OR b) when the other one wanted to tell me something

that 'why do they lack confidence/struggle, they've got everything going for them attitude?' pisses me right off & is so lazy. DD improved so much last year because she had fab teachers (& a TA) who were not like this at all.

FolknNorah · 13/01/2015 17:05

You know what fancy? I like you. A. Lot. Grin

OP posts:
Baddz · 13/01/2015 17:09

I like you more fancy!

Still not over Malc dropping me like a stone :(

FancyFancy · 13/01/2015 17:12

The feeling's mutual norah Wink

Can you direct a righteous rant at Treville's hairdresser next? I'm so conflicted at the moment - billowy shirt open at the top, very good Grin. Obvious dye job, mood killer Sad.

No such problems with Aramis, luckily, he's never less than FAF

Now I'm conflicted even more Grin.

Sharing's good Grin

Realised I ballsed up with the meal planning & have soup planned for tea after having soup for lunch. Idiot. Can we all pretend today is Thursday so I can have that tea instead?

Enormouse · 13/01/2015 17:24

leaping I love a bit of Marc Warren and a bit of cheesy panto villain acting.

badders it is really tough. My DSes aren't school age but I remember being bullied in year 2 and it destroyed my self confidence. Thankfully, my granny (very determined feisty sort of lady) wouldn't take no for an answer and pushed my teacher into doing something.

I've had a pretty stressful day hunting down toddlers birth certificate for his funded place at preschool. Not with babys as expected. I have to move things a lot as tm rifles through drawers and had moved it to a new safe place. Also need to go in and discuss tm's speech issues and easing him back into preschool. Looks likely it'll be Mr M going in though as I has the lurgy.

Must brief him on not scowling, looking smug or being sarcastic. In other words, Athos.
