I'm sorry HMRC. I haven't actually started met the deadline for my tax return because wenching has taken up all my spare time this year. I do hope you are a fan of The Musketeers. Yours sincerely.

Lyndie · 08/01/2015 16:56

Afternoon.

Dear HMRC, I've saved that huge lump of cash that you asked for at the end of January, but would you mind terribly if I spent it on a 5* trip to Prague instead? Yours sincerely, Lyndie. GrinGrinGrin

Lyndie · 08/01/2015 16:58

DH is still in the sandy place so I'll be watching alone!!! GrinGrinGrin

I had to phone HMRC last year for mum re dad's pensions.
Jesus.
2 and a half hours later I came off the phone with a migraine.
I watched "lord of misrule" earlier on Iplayer (rik mayall memorial show) I may have cried a bit :(

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 08/01/2015 17:17

mrsb I did the fucking thing yesterday. miraculously Hmm. HMRC are saying though that I didn't submit last year's one Hmm again. I did to companies house and I have all the paperwork so no idea what happened. such fun.

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 08/01/2015 17:20

This is the 3rd time in the last 7 days that I am ordering the same jacket from Esprit sale for DD. Two previous orders (of the same jacket) cancelled due to lack of stock. Clearly they are not updating the website as they go along or sty Confused. Now I'm thinking it's the universe telling me not to get it but now I'm hell-bent on getting it, even if it is in fact shit and I will have to send it back.

MiladyBeaWinter · 08/01/2015 17:24

Will they fine you? Shock

Just that mooncup to find now.

I'm a bit worried Mouse has proper gone though.

OP posts:
DrinkFeckArseGirls · 08/01/2015 17:33

They sent a notice of £200 but the business is wound up, there is just no money Confused. I have appealed but will give them a ring tomorrow if I can get through.

I will try to Pm mouse. No idea why would she take that seriously, I would have thought she'd ask: 'what the fuck are you on about Drink?!', if she thought it was a dodgy comment! it was clearly a joke especially that we hadn't really chatted recently (well, that goes for everyone, I just haven't been around) so why would she think I had beef with her?

so anyways, to reiteraite - I thought it was a funny play of words, cause there was a mouse in my kitchen last night. Hmm

MiladyBeaWinter · 08/01/2015 17:36

Yeah we noticed you neglecting us

Hope you don't get fined!

Right orf to make tea.

OP posts:
Baddz · 08/01/2015 17:40

I'm sure it's just a misunderstanding.
What happened to the mouse drink?

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 08/01/2015 17:46

well, it fucked back off in between the wooden panels underneath the cupboards. I showed a tea towel in there and notified the landlords. gives me creeps though, last time there were mice in the building, they didn't get into the flat as the panels were secured. this time the panels were moved due to various repairs and never put back properly!

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 08/01/2015 17:47

I had a terrible day at work! I'm hungry and knackered. Bleurgh!

Mouse you're not really gone are you? You must stay!!!!

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 08/01/2015 17:49

Should I clarify that the last post was about a RL mouse…?

FancyFancy · 08/01/2015 17:52

Sympathies to all you lot having to deal with HMRC, they used to be fine years ago (well, as fine as tax collectors can be) and C&E were the real bastards. But they're so grossly understaffed now it's hard to get through to anyone, let alone anyone who has the knowledge to help. My last dealings with them were shit - most of the people I spoke to knew so little they couldn't grasp my question let alone provide an answer.

A mouse you say? Maybe it stole your mooncup & turned it into a tiny mouse crib.

FurFoxAke · 08/01/2015 17:55

Sorry to be so brief before, bit rude I know, but I wanted to show I wasn't dead and buried under someone's patio Grin
In an attempt to buy your affections I will try to find nice pictures of each musketeer for you all. Wink

Well I have managed a few rewatches this week and am still having a go at screen caps (?) and writing things on them.
I'm looking forward to tomorrow though....

I haven't seen any promo stuff about the musketeers, other than what's been posted on here.

FurFoxAke · 08/01/2015 17:58

A mouse crib? Awww. I hate mice in the house, we had a nest in the loft once...I could hear them scurrying about at night and it was ugh. They ate all the ds's chocolate balls I'd put in their advent calendar.

FancyFancy · 08/01/2015 18:08

Cake for ww, don't like to think of you being hungry Grin

Nice pictures of Musketeers will get on our good sides foxy, have no fear

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 08/01/2015 18:08

Actually I have to say in HMRC's defence (sentences you never thought you would see yourself writing #1..) that the times I have needed to speak to them they have been very helpful and kind.

FancyFancy · 08/01/2015 18:22

You are lucky alibabs! I think the biggest problem I had was that no-one knew who to put me through to to answer my question. I got advised badly (didn't lose money, just time spent on unnecessary forms), before finally getting through to the correct department, who then were, indeed, lovely & knowledgeable. I probably wouldn't have persevered long enough to get to the correct answer had I not got a finance background, so was suspicious of the advice I initially received. It makes me sad as it's the underfunding causing the service problems, the poor staff are trying their hardest & probably get so much abuse Sad

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 08/01/2015 18:29

Evening.

Anywench fancy a drink?
