I've just been watching the most recent episode and as someone who's watched the show from the beginning, I was so happy with the events of tonight!
Did anyone else see it? Do you think they will follow through with the wedding? And if they do, surely this will be the last series??

OP posts:
Showy · 19/12/2014 22:45

I think it's probably coming to an end. I hope they do get married.

Of course I don't watch it. Nope. Never. I watch, er, highbrow stuff.

I love it.

Sparklingbrook · 19/12/2014 23:09

Shock is all I can manage. I think the show is ruined, it was kind of the point of the show that they weren't going out. Sad

Loved Pete from Outnumbered though.

PortofinoVino · 19/12/2014 23:10

Fantastic episode. It was genius to introduce Hugh Dennis into the mix.

Twill be a sad day if this is the last series because I think it is one of the best things on tv.

GoTellItToTheMavis · 19/12/2014 23:20

I know I've entered the maudlin part of the year when I appear to be genuinely moved by Lee Mack saying he loves Lucy.

Awwww.

I don't watch this ever lies

30somethingm · 20/12/2014 02:17

There is a Christmas eve episode called "Wedding"

FruVikingessOla · 20/12/2014 07:23

It did seem a bit 'end of an era', didn't it?

".... it was kind of the point of the show that they weren't going out". It's only just sunk in with me that 'not going out' had two meanings, Sparkling Blush Grin

stinkingbishop · 20/12/2014 07:34

Was I the only one who talked to the TV (on my own, not sad/insane at all) BUT THEY'VE NOT HAD SEX YET! HOW CAN THEY GET MARRIED? WHAT IF IT DOESN'T FIT????!!!!!

I am aware it is not real and just a programme but STILL.

Furball · 20/12/2014 08:12

But it can't be not going out in that way - as the flatmate was different in the first couple of series.

Sparklingbrook · 20/12/2014 08:33

I am worried it won't fit too. Blush

Sparklingbrook · 20/12/2014 08:56

So what's the other meaning of 'Not Going out'? Confused

meglet · 20/12/2014 09:06

Not going out = Staying in and watching telly / not being a couple.

Not that I watch it of course.

youarekiddingme · 20/12/2014 09:10

He of the funniest episodes I've ever watched - and I've watched them all. Was crying with laughter at Toby and Lee in the bar. He's a fab character.

I really hope they go through with the wedding but fear that it will be the end of the programme if they do Sad cannot wait for next weeks!

BestIsWest · 20/12/2014 09:10

Didn't Lee Mack say this was the last series?

I would love it for the theme tune alone.

Sparklingbrook · 20/12/2014 09:15

But the second line of the song is 'not staying in'. Confused

HyperThread · 20/12/2014 09:40

This is one of my favourite TV programmes Grin absolutely loved this episode!

FruVikingessOla · 20/12/2014 10:16

Sparkling, I interpreted your comment to mean that they weren't dating; whilst my interpretation was that they weren't leaving the flat. I see that you and I are actually thinking on the same lines anyway Xmas Grin

Sparklingbrook · 20/12/2014 10:18

I am all confuddled Fru. They weren't staying in the flat or going out the flat or going out with each other.

But now they are? Grin

FruVikingessOla · 20/12/2014 10:26

I am even more confuddled too!

I've always assumed the title of the programme referred to the fact that, mainly, all of the action took place in the flat (or the pub), so they weren't going anywhere really. I.e., not going out.

It didn't occur to me that maybe the title referred to the fact that they weren't a couple. I.e., not going out!

Maybe that's what the whole title is about though, it's supposed to have two meanings?

Grin
HellKitty · 20/12/2014 10:31

I have to watch this in secret - DP and DC scoff at me Smile

Izzy24 · 20/12/2014 10:31

What happened to the first woman? She was Canadian or American. Thought she was good .

Izzy24 · 20/12/2014 10:31

In the first series I mean.

Sparklingbrook · 20/12/2014 10:32

I loved Miranda as the cleaner. Grin

I need the proper meaning of the title explained now.....

R4roger · 20/12/2014 10:32

Sad i missed this last night

Sparklingbrook · 20/12/2014 10:33

R4roger · 20/12/2014 10:35
