Presumably Tony was drawing the snowy stick figures....he doodled one when talking to Baptiste.

I think we are supposed to wonder whether that was Ollie...but Tony has clearly lost the plot and has been doing the exact same thing all over Russia, so it probably isn't.

Disappointed.

I thought the after the credits bit was going to show the boys bedroom covered in stick figures with big ears....but no.

Hmmmm.

Fine performance from JN, though. Usually, I can't stand him.

Iamblossom · 16/12/2014 22:07

Agreed, heartbreaking...to now know that when he was snatched away from that window he was in agony from his injuries as well as terrified....and then got murdered anyway. Sick.

Inkanta · 16/12/2014 22:07

No I'm not watching a 2nd series.

BeyondTheTreelights · 16/12/2014 22:07

Well, the opening scene says its is olleh...? But too many questions if it is.

He still has tonys drawing though, i wonder if s2 will be from his angle???

Bedsheets4knickers · 16/12/2014 22:07

It's said new series New case , we'l never know !

WishesAndStars · 16/12/2014 22:07

Urgh, so pissed off. That's 8 hours of my life I'll never get back. I hate hate it when writers leave us hanging after a series like this. Just finish it off properly ffs!

susiedaisy · 16/12/2014 22:08

They filmed four endings and that's the one we get.

Quadrophonic · 16/12/2014 22:08

I feel cheated.....omg I can't cope with the second series.

BeyondTheTreelights · 16/12/2014 22:08

What was after the credits? I lost connection, saw a clapping monkey thing fall off a shelf, was that all there was?

BOFster · 16/12/2014 22:08

Ahhhhhh, I've just read back and seen susie say about the car window- that makes sense, yes! So Tony is deranged with hope. That is his tragedy.

Yep, I get it now, THANK YOU.

LePetitMarseillais · 16/12/2014 22:09

Clutching at straws here.

It was Ollie.Tony uncovers a hideous trafficking scenario and he and Baptiste try and solve a new case linked to it alongside coping with having his son back.

Plausible??

Now I have to try and wind down in order to get some sleep.

Monstamio · 16/12/2014 22:09

Right, I'm off to listen to my hypnobirthing cd in bed. Need to get some of those scenes out of my head Hmm Night all!

StrumpersPlunkett · 16/12/2014 22:09

he doesn't have the drawing the policeman took it away after explaining about the mad man in the park

lapetitesiren · 16/12/2014 22:09

Can we see the other endings on line. I want to choose a different one. I need closure.

mewkins · 16/12/2014 22:10

I think ollie is still alive.

I enjoyed that episode. So many red herrings though! James Nesbitt was fantastic.

Flibbertyjibbet · 16/12/2014 22:10

Just before the end I noticex tony has a new stick man picture on his fridge. Then he doodles a stick man on the pad while talking to Julian. It's tony who drew the pic in the frosted window. I thought the ending showed that he keeps searching for his son and it's driven him unhinged.
alain didn't know what was done with the body, Georges shot himself without saying. So ollie is dead but because there is no body, tony clings to the last small hope he is alive.

Highway65 · 16/12/2014 22:10

I don't feel cheated at all! You believe what you want.

There was no motive to kill him so they didn't. He found him because he never gave up!
I loved it Smile

LePetitMarseillais · 16/12/2014 22:11

Maybe the boy turns up at the prison they take Tony too?

Why Russia,why not Romania?

Bedsheets4knickers · 16/12/2014 22:11

BBC'S first edgey drama. They've fluffed it for me

StrumpersPlunkett · 16/12/2014 22:11

I kind of think it is clever that we have been sucked into the grief and terror about what could have happened to the little boy and a bit like real life (not tv programs) there is very rarely a clean cut wind up at the end explaining it all.

BeyondTheTreelights · 16/12/2014 22:11

Ahh, another lightbulb... Home is a feeling. Home to tony now is searching for his son, even after 'closure'

BeyondTheTreelights · 16/12/2014 22:12

We're gonna fill up 1000 posts of this, afent we Grin

MustTidyUpMustTidyUp · 16/12/2014 22:12

Dont like the is he isn't he alive doubt

Spoonme · 16/12/2014 22:13

That was Olleh, definitely.

LePetitMarseillais · 16/12/2014 22:13

No must I don't,I need a body.
