...before the previous thread here rolls off a cliff.

Someone wanted a character list. I have, with a bit of help from Wiki, come up with:
The Mighty Carrie
Quinn aka Woopert. Most of us definitely would, despite the resemblance to a ferret.
Lockhart - once hated, now we have some grudging respect.
Saul - all that is right and good in the world, with a passing resemblance to Life of Brian man who hasn't spoken in years.
Dar Adul aka Salieri - what's happened to him?
Fara - once an IT fraud geek, now an intrepid hands-on agent who doesn't keep enough of an eye on her bin bags.
Martha, the nice ambassador
Denis, her nefarious husband
John, second in command at CIA Lahore HQ, we're warming to him
Aayan aka Pi, now sailing the heavenly oceans with a tiger
Sandy, former CIA chief, now pushing up the daisies
Aasar Khan, aka Raza, aka Hot Spooks Guy
Bunran Latif, the General, aka Art Malik
Haqqani, the craggy Taliban leader who prefers to shag next to a bearded man chained to a radiator
Tasleen, aka one of the Kardashians.

Have I missed anyone?

No.
Saul had his go.
Carrie will be next director.
Grin

SabsFabulous · 07/12/2014 23:21

Think there's 4 more episodes left

WhyYouGottaBeSoRude · 07/12/2014 23:23

Hello! I found you all. Grin Other thread took a million years to load on my iphone so i gave up.

It was me who asked for character list so thank you very much hassled. That is very helpful. Will now go and read thread up to date. Smile

OhLittleBoreOfWhabylon · 07/12/2014 23:23

God no, surely she can't be Director?!?

There is to be a fifth series (probably old news to most of you but was new news to me Grin

Saul, who is wise and good, will be needed for a fifth series.

oneowlgirl · 07/12/2014 23:23

Will it not finish until after Christmas then?

OhLittleBoreOfWhabylon · 07/12/2014 23:25

Looks like the last episode is 21st December in USA so presumably after Christmas here.

TheSpottedZebra · 07/12/2014 23:33

Oh god we can't go through Xmas with a Homeland cliffhanger!

WhyYouGottaBeSoRude · 07/12/2014 23:34

Ok so i was all tuned in and then got distracted by a fit man flirting with me Grin and i missed the last few minutes. Can someone explain what happened please?

TensionWheelsCoolHeels · 07/12/2014 23:35

I think if Quinn thinks carrie is dead then he might well go all 'dar' on the Taliban baddies. He's been on the edge a while, this might just tip him over. I think Carrie will head to her secret lair with Saul, where chandler/Fara will be - they'll be the only ones left half standing & I think Lockhart has a sticky end ahead. It was the glasses wot did it - I think they must've put a teeny weeny tracker on them when the veiled woman removed them.

4 more episodes! I don't think Haaquani will go in all Rambo & shoot the embassy up. Those released prisoners would be pretty useful to get a good rummage round the U.S. Security systems & get intelligence as well as some handy high profile prisoners.

Blu · 07/12/2014 23:36

Where was Fara tonight? I thought Carrie had set up a secret secure office of her and Quinn? So where was she?

LauraPashley · 08/12/2014 00:00

Who is Mira?

I am sure at the very end the ariel shot showed one car not burning BUT they all got fairly badly bashed about.

Poor Saul and his glasses, he's not having a good time this season.

Bad lady (Kardashian?) is on to Carrie and Zaf isn't she?

oneowlgirl · 08/12/2014 00:02

Mira is Sauls wife.

EachandEveryone · 08/12/2014 00:15

I've enjoyed this season so much and I very nearly didn't watch it.

unitarian · 08/12/2014 00:42

My though when she handed Saul his glasses was that they were amazingly clean!

BingoBonkers · 08/12/2014 06:47

What did Denis mumble to Martha in the cell when she went back to talk to him? It was obviously a crucial line. It was after he said "They've sent ALL the marines?"

Best episode!

Fiderer · 08/12/2014 06:51

Shock "What the fucking fuck?" as Lockhart said. Excellent episode. Mandy P incredible I thought.

Mira annoys me for some reason though Even when we first met her when Saul picked her up from the airport I remember thinking the flowers he'd brought were some tradecraft signal and it took me a while to realise they were a couple, let alone married. Maybe I was just dim Grin but I never thought they had any chemistry.

Meanwhile... Quinn has to save the day and Dennis & Smug Tasneem get their comeuppance. I'd even cheer on Lockhart. He was also supposed to get killed in the RPG strike, remember how Tasneem asked why he wasn't at the prisoner exchange?

I thought I detected a reluctance on Bunny's part. The released prisoners were the heads of various regions meaning that Haqqani would be able to re-establish Taliban control all the way to Kabul (said Carrie) so if he is not on the Taliban's side he would have felt it was a step backwards for the ISI.

ihatethecold · 08/12/2014 07:28

what the fucking fuck

Love it!

CoolCadbury · 08/12/2014 07:35

I think what the fucking fuck was a spot on, stand out line about how we all felt.

GypsyFloss · 08/12/2014 07:38

I can't wait to catch up later!

rallytog1 · 08/12/2014 07:38

Didn't get Dennis's actual words but basically he'd figured out what was going on - Kardashian knew about the tunnel and now the embassy was unguarded with Haaqani and his mates in the tunnel.

HalleLouja · 08/12/2014 08:07

Lockhart goes up in my books each episode.

Fiderer · 08/12/2014 08:09

If the series carries (!) on like this then "What the fucking fuck" could be our next thread title.

tkband3 · 08/12/2014 08:31

I'm sure I spotted at least one of the released prisoners was with Haaqani in the tunnel at the embassy at the end.

whoneedstosleep · 08/12/2014 10:19

I'm one ahead as watching online as it's released in America so will not say too much.

I struggled through last season but this season has been excellent!

It's back to clever storylines, plot twists and brilliant acting.

rallytog1 · 08/12/2014 10:19

I think you're right tk - I also agree with pps that this series is seriously good.
