Someone wanted a character list. I have, with a bit of help from Wiki, come up with:
The Mighty Carrie
Quinn aka Woopert. Most of us definitely would, despite the resemblance to a ferret.
Lockhart - once hated, now we have some grudging respect.
Saul - all that is right and good in the world, with a passing resemblance to Life of Brian man who hasn't spoken in years.
Dar Adul aka Salieri - what's happened to him?
Fara - once an IT fraud geek, now an intrepid hands-on agent who doesn't keep enough of an eye on her bin bags.
Martha, the nice ambassador
Denis, her nefarious husband
John, second in command at CIA Lahore HQ, we're warming to him
Aayan aka Pi, now sailing the heavenly oceans with a tiger
Sandy, former CIA chief, now pushing up the daisies
Aasar Khan, aka Raza, aka Hot Spooks Guy
Bunran Latif, the General, aka Art Malik
Haqqani, the craggy Taliban leader who prefers to shag next to a bearded man chained to a radiator
Tasleen, aka one of the Kardashians.

Have I missed anyone?

I thought Bunny didn't look too happy when the prisoners got handed over.

I like John too but I'm thinking it won't be Carrie or Saul & the driver is an unknown, so for us to care enough, it has to be John

Bunny is Bunran Latif, the most senior of the Pakistani intelligence services. Played by Art Malik.

Happy that this has got so good again! We were watching in a 'oh is there a new Homeland recorded?' sort of way, but now it's real time, not to be missed. So exciting n

Right, I think that Carrie and Saul will survive. Just.
And they'll end up with Martha somewhere, watching as there is fighting at embassy. Denis will die, perhaps early on. Maybe they'll hold him as hostage so that martha hands over someone else? But she won't, as he's a treacherous shit. So they'll kill him.

Martha will turn to Saul and have an 'it's you, it's always been you' moment. Then they'll both die too.

Do we know what type of prisoners they were? Ie were they skilled fighters of the embassy-invading kind?

They ran through who the prisoners were at one stage but I can't remember what they said. Top notch terrorists, though - the creme de la creme.

He was Zubin. Got a bit messy when he started dating Rick's daughter. used to love Holby back then.

Bunny deffo did not look happy. I think he said, in Urdu, take their handcuffs off and let them go. Tbf, it would be a nightmare for them with all those released prisoners back out in the wild. spottedzebra I don't think they would have been involved in the embassy invasion. They were high ranking leaders of different regions I think.

I'm not sure that both Saul and Lockhart will survive, I reckon only one of them will.

I said they should just have Homeland as a spy, terrorist type show. We didnt need Brody, especially after they way the last series dragged on. I shoukd get a commission.
