Just skimmed the last Klipdoctor chapter - in work and need to be careful so had to read it on my phone. I like it - everything ties in very well and has the "and they all lived happily ever after" feel to it. Will read it properly tonight.

Regarding our own fanfics, are we going to publish? If so, under what pseudonyms?

icemist · 27/11/2014 16:04

Ooh I think we should publish it. Once anyone who wanted to contribute has done so.

Name?? CJ Stag

thanks for the Tesco tip off, will pop in on my way home and thanks for the fanfic updates, about to settle down and read them, a nice treat before parents evening

Ilovelblue · 27/11/2014 16:10

I think the two we have so far created can be classed as standalone anyway? We've stayed close to the series (with the notable exception of SPO!!) and in my opinion they far outclass some of the ones already out there with poor grammar and spelling. Do we need the author's notes (or authors' notes in our case) on there too? I can try to concoct something tonight if we need it.

icemist · 27/11/2014 16:39

Think the notes are the disclaimer and where/what episode it's set and a brief summary - from what I can see from others.

Need a title too

Wonder if BA is back for the premiere of the short film Synchronicity he did this year? It's tonight

SPOfficer love the zombie fanfic, especially the "he's gone off" line, I'm glad I wasn't at work when I read it.

Can't wait to read the new fanfic but I have got loads to do tonight,Sad

A question for you. If you could have been an extra in one of the OG scenes, which one would you choose? (I realise there are limited female options for extras, so am assuming the make up dept could work wonders with special effect stubble!) Initially, I picked the restaurant scene, thinking I'd be another diner (table closest to CJ's of course) but then thought I'd've missed out on seeing him in combats. So I think I'd be an audience member for the duet scene and get a close up of the wink and hip action. Second choice, a nurse in the hospital so I could surreptitiously stroke his bare chest... Actually, on further thought that might be first choice now.Smile

orphan · 27/11/2014 17:58

Oh and obviously SPO you wouldn't need special effects stubble... or would you..?!

icemist · 27/11/2014 18:06

Audience for the duet. Combats, sleeves rolled up, messy hair, the wink and a very relaxed CJ.

Been at the hospital all day today so just had a chance to check in and read over all the posts since last night. Everyone has been very busy stag hunting today...

Love all the stag knickers. They all look a lot more wearable than the ones which Richtea posted the other day.

Richtea Glad you not hurt from the car accident. Things like that really shake you up so pleased your ok today..

I had another read of your collective fanfic just now and you really should put it up on fanfic for others to read as it is really good.

I also re-read SPO's zombie one again. It was really funny..looking forward to instalment two.

Richtea19 · 27/11/2014 18:13

Gosh that is a hard one. It's got to be a nurse, so I can perform mopping brow, touching forearm, to administer drip, bed bath! Did I really say that??? Or maybe the medic on the helicopter , performing life saving mouth to mouth!

orphan · 27/11/2014 18:14

Would have to resist the urge to gatecrash the duet, grab the mic from Molly and croon (very up close) to CJ.

orphan · 27/11/2014 18:17

richtea remember this is an extra in the actual scenes!! I don't remember seeing a bed bath...

orphan · 27/11/2014 18:19

Of course, being a very able extra, it would be good to show initiative...

firegirl · 27/11/2014 18:20

Nurse would get you pretty close to him, but with the disadvantage of no combats, so medic on the helicopter is probably the best option. Failing that, an extra as an Afghan lady in the village might be ok. If I was covered up noone would notice I was continuously staring at his forearms, mouth, crotch, behind etc ( in no particular order)

orphan · 27/11/2014 18:28

I wonder if any extras were needed to stabilise the legs of the table in the ops tent? Perhaps crouched beneath the table? I'm thinking it might have offered an ideal opportunity to gather data for Operation Bulge.

firegirl · 27/11/2014 18:54

In that case sod being an extra, I'd be helping out in the wardrobe department, making sure the combats were a good fit and well hung low slung.

Richtea19 · 27/11/2014 19:07

My imagination was running wild again.. It's the thought of bed baths! I would be a very thorough nurse who takes her responsibilities very seriously.

If I am going to be a proper member of the cast. I will be part of wardrobe. Being a proficient seamstress I would be on hand to make sure the seat measurement was correct in CJs low slung combat trousers. I would only ever use a soft tape measure of course! I would make sure that his combat regulation top sleeves were rolled up to precisely the correct place on his forearm too.

galaxy99 · 27/11/2014 19:08

Great question orphan. I would be in the scene when he gives out the mail, CJ can throw his package at me any day! Grin

pixieg1rl · 27/11/2014 19:13

You guys get filthier by the hour Shock

icemist · 27/11/2014 19:14

I'd be costume too or make up both jobs would be fab Grin wiping his brow when too hot and making sure his combats were sitting just right 'fanning myself to cool down'

Ladies and gent, I had a particularly exhausting day at work, but the forced intimacy with fellow customers of transport for London inspired me to continue the zombie story.
Not even remotely as funny as SPO's, but I suppose he could do some editing and make something of it?
Molly and the Captain sprinted to the parking lot of the camp hospital, it was an instinctive move to try and find the rest of the Unit which they left behind when they medevac Sohail.
Running past one of the trucks, they recognised the familiar shape of Smurf, apparently intent at assembling and disassembling his automated rifle. He wasn't looking into their direction, probably lost in his thoughts.
"Oi! Smurf!" Molly shouted "you would not believe what just happened!"
He didn't answer straight away.
CJ tensed instinctively and hold tighter Molly's hand, which he had not left since the jump from the window.
"Come on, you Welsh wanker! Look at me, I may need some of that looking after you promised me!"
Smurf's head turned slowly and only the they saw a bullet hole right in the side of the neck, from where a large, pulsing wound was gurgling blood onto his shirt.
"Captaiiiiin Jaaaaaamessss" he muttered menacingly, with blood-stained eyes and a ferociously stern expression on his emaciated face "Dylan said at the memorial that you loved me....what he didn't know is that I loved youuuuuuuu" and with a sudden move he tried to jump closer and embrace him, knocking Molly away. "Sod off, you shortie cockney muppet! He's miiiineeeee!! I want the right end of the stick!!!"

....

cherin · 27/11/2014 19:20

(I think it should turn out that Sohail wanted to shag Molly, geraint wanted to do CJ, and Bashira's dad had a secret crush on captain azizi. But the Quaseem is actually a wizard that can put everyone to their place by muttering the right spell in Pashtun)

(I haven't hit the bottle, yet, I swear!!)

cherin · 27/11/2014 19:22

If this iPhone doesn't stop spelling on my behalf, I am going to send it to Kabul...)
