Great photo selection icemist, it's a great example for Operation Bulge!

stressbird, recovery man unfortunately didn't look like CJ/BA, but he was my knight in shining armour! No fatigues, but a rather fetching orange hi-vis jacket, it was still uniform!!!!

orphan · 27/11/2014 08:07

Morning all! Nearly overslept this morning as my dp is away and he's the one in charge of alarm clock and restorative morning cup of tea.

richtea glad you got back safe and it sounds as if your DH had seen the error of his ways! If not, get him those stag pants for Christmas cos that'd be punishment. (But punishment for you too, so maybe not.)

Yes, yesterday's pic definitely holds first place so far for BCB, so maybe we could have it again tomorrow as an end of week treat, icemist?
But, please keep looking for other worthy examples...Smile

cherin · 27/11/2014 08:10

spo that was brilliant!! It's making my whole morning routine and kids-coercing a whole lot harder, as I am clearly distracted and giggly so my "focus up" appeals are not stern enough...

SPOfficer · 27/11/2014 08:38

Morning everyone. Glad you liked the zombie fan fic. Got lots of inspiration from the mad goings on on here. Definitely incorporating Operation Bulge into the next instalment. Can't wait to read more instalments of the other story threads.

richtea glad you got back ok. Learned a long time ago not to cast aspersions on other peoples driving. I have the spatial awareness of a coat hanger!

Right working from home again today after a quick meeting in the office. Walking in and running back. Wish me luck.

Rhubarb01 · 27/11/2014 09:52

Morning all!

You know you've been on this thread too long when you start to see subliminal messages.

Standing at the checkout in Lidl this morning, I glanced down at the plastic divider separating my purchases from the person in front of me in the queue and saw:

"Just a Lidl longer, you're nearly there!"

Sharp intake of breath - 'its the answer!'

What comes next? Hearing voices?

icemist · 27/11/2014 10:07

I'll gladly post it tomorrow and anytime you'd like Grin

SPOfficer what a brilliant fanfic. I especially liked the Mansfield Mike Ep 5 line - just my type of humour. I can't wait for the next instalment. I seriously think you should upload it to the fanfic site - it would make a nice change from lovey dovey ones.

Richtea hope you are ok after your little adventure last night. Hope the car isn't too bad.

Have just come back from the gym. I treat myself to a session with a trainer once a month. I was seriously debating on whether to ask him if he could say 'dig in, put some bloody effort in' whilst I was training. Decided not to as I thought it could be a bit creepy Hmm

Richtea19 · 27/11/2014 11:40

Rhubarb you are not alone! I seem to be thinking OG script all the time. Managed a Double Away to DS this morning trying to get him out the house to get the bus.

Had a trip to Tesco this morning and to cheer me up I bought some Stag Pants. Well they are more like Reindeer pants, but unfortunately my Sainburys don't stock the offical "Stag Pant". I am hoping they will have the same effect they do as on Iloveblue, a warm effect! Ther're cute, and have a little bell on the front, not sure of the purpose. I am going to post a picture. So this is a warning in case any of you are in meetings or otherwise busy!, they're not really offensive though :)

Richtea19 · 27/11/2014 11:41

Alternative Stag Pants (reindeer CJ)

Richtea19 · 27/11/2014 11:42

Oh and they are low rise, so good for low slung combats!

icemist · 27/11/2014 11:45

maybe the bell is for 'ring me when you are ready' ??

Smurfingreat · 27/11/2014 11:58

SPO you are a genius, I started reading with trepidation as zombies aren't really my ball bag either, this soon degenerated into hysterical giggles. Truely above and beyond sanity, just like the rest of us.

Ilovelblue · 27/11/2014 12:30

Oh Richtea - I work near Tesco and am going in there shortly to do my weekly shop, so will go in and check. Tesco pants are a good fit on me usually.... quite excited now. I am such a keen and eager soldier!

Woke up in the early hours with agonising cramp in my calf. Never had it quite so bad and had to get up in the end to relieve it. Thought I may as well do some research whilst I was wide awake so started to look at the very first thread again. I remember joining it the afternoon of the final episode. There were one or two names on there ahead of me and who are still going strong. Definitely real hardcore posters. I didn't have a pen to hand so tonight I am going to have a proper look through and write them down for us to mull over. It did make me laugh that there were a few from the "Smurf camp" as opposed to the majority of us in the "CJ camp". It all seems so funny so many weeks on from the finale.

Off pants shopping now. xx

orphan · 27/11/2014 12:32

Well, Operation Bulge has unfortunately inspired me to further lyrical musings:

I'm committed to finding what lies
Beneath Captain James' combat flies
I can now divulge
The source of the bulge:
Stag pants! Ugh, what a surprise...Sad

richtea a bell? Ring for service??

Nickel45 · 27/11/2014 12:34

Rhubarb and richtea, you are definitely not alone! I have to bite my tongue (or lip!) a lot to stop myself coming out with OGisms all the time, and I hear them everywhere!!

In fact, in the car this morning, I was listening to Heart, and Jamie Theakston said "listen up" straight after he had played that Mysterious song from the pilot .... and it made me wonder whether he liked OG ... I mean, tenuous link, or what!! Was wondering when I might hit decrompression and normalisation - but this now seems normal, and I am wondering whether I will ever go back to abnormal!

Richtea19 · 27/11/2014 13:02

I have to say the Tesco stag pants are a great fit, and I have a warm feeling... Perhaps that is orphans rhyme!

Yes the bell must be for ring when your ready or for service ;) perhaps I should get another 6 pairs, 1 for every day. "Mental or What!"

I have just re-read SPOs Zombie Fan Fic. It was funny last night, but my mind was rather fragged, so I didn't take on board actually how bloody funny it is. Hillarous! We NEED another chapter!!!

SPOfficer · 27/11/2014 13:12

A pants bell richtea? Ding dong!

ilovelblue like the idea of the historic research on the original thread. Look forward to reading the results. Be interesting to see if there are any embryonic hints of the madness we would eventually descend into.

I too zero in on OG isms. My boss said ditto a few days ago and I looked up sharply. Too sharply in fact since she asked me what the matter was and I had to quickly make up something relevant to the discussion!

Ilovelblue · 27/11/2014 14:05

I got the pants! They are different to the other photo Richtea posted though. I had to take a picture in Tesco - I would have been ripped to shreds if anyone saw me doing something so mad in the office. Photo is on phone so will have to do that shortly. They are also doing stag cushions too - proper stags, not reindeers.

SPO more intensive historic research tonight. I need to get out more.

snumpy · 27/11/2014 14:19

A new chapter on fanfic- Uni by Chezzigirl. Sorry not technical enough to do links, still mastering bold type. Quite like the story, but it still doesn't beat SPOfficer

Ilovelblue · 27/11/2014 14:43

Photos of Tesco stag pants in blue, complete with bell 25% off ladies till Sunday! Also the stag cushion.

I think a trip to Tesco's might be in order tomorrow :)

Having a very distracted afternoon. I have a Welsh colleague, who is usually really quiet - but this afternoon he has been on a TC in our open plan office ... and he sounds exactly like Smurf. Very strange! Quite enjoying the accent, but I am getting no work done ... which isn't brill when my boss has just rang to ask whether I had finished what I was supposed to be doing .... ! oops! decided to blame a slow computer system rather than admit what I had actually been up to!

icemist · 27/11/2014 14:55

I have no pics of pants but I do of a stag - am in tesco tomorrow so might just have to pick up a pair of the stag pants

Oh they are nice! I didn't see those, and a call me when your ready bell!

Might gonna make another Tesco trip. The cushion is great too, a welcome addition to our festive interiors.... Or any excuse to be reminded of CJ in the house!
Thanks for the fanfic tip off.

Richtea19 · 27/11/2014 15:02

Klipdoctor as well. A FanFic fest!!!

icemist the Tesco knickers are seriously comfy. I bought them for fun not thinking I would like them, but they are lovely. I dont think I should say what I want to say... But they stay in place...if you know what I mean!
