I bet the local radio interviews will be better, probably a bit longer and better prepared. As mentioned before, I think that there was definitely a genuine expression of hope that a second series would be made.

icemist · 03/11/2014 10:55

Watching the dvd now. Producer Caroline Skinner says Molly is in her early twenties so age gap may not be as much as we thought

klj78 · 03/11/2014 10:57

Rhubarb01 I think its more I-wan, with a welsh twang, I think Scott Mills pronounced it right. Someone very close to me is a welsh speaker - but if I asked him, my obsession would be revealed lol!

www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04mbqjv This is the link for the Radio One interview from this morning, the bit you want starts at 01:40:46

Richtea19 · 03/11/2014 11:08

I have just re listened, on my own, bliss. I know Scott mills was thrown into this, but shame he couldn't of asked better questions. Why talk about strictly and Eastenders, so selfish!!!!! Maybe the BBC manchester interview will be better. I think I love BA/CJ even more, he has huge respect for LT and wants their relationship to grow.

Does anyone know if we can see the video of them?

I should be feeling great, but somehow feeling a bit flat. Did have major bust up with DH this morning because i was faffing around trying to listen to radio and missed doc apt, and then got told I cared more about BA than him. So wanted to shout, actually YES. Hate it when they take the wind out of your sails, so to speak. :(

Rhubarb01 · 03/11/2014 11:08

Re: Iwan to be honest I had to listen to it twice and was still not sure. Perhaps I should listen to the Radio Wales broadcast they're bound to get it right.

Just a small nerdy point. I watched the first episode of OG on the DVD last night and at the very end when Dawsey goes into the tent where the lads are, after saving Smurf and they sing to her she says "Thanks you f*muppets" just like the script says but as someone else pointed out on the TV version she said "cockwombles". Haven't watched the rest yet so don't know if there are any other discrepancies. It just struck me at that moment. Wonder why it was changed?

PassTheSherry · 03/11/2014 11:12

Omg having a mare! On a course and the bloody burglar alarms gone off. Being deafened!! This thread is taking my mind off being driven mad by the noise. Yes. It's a sanity saver.

icemist · 03/11/2014 11:30

yep questions were not great. could have done lot better.

just announced a new series of Call the Midwife- series 4 just finished filming.

Rhubarb01 · 03/11/2014 13:12

I'm sad, I know but I had to listen to the start of the Radio Wales programme re: pronunciation of Iwan Rheon. Sitting down for lunch is excuse! Very welsh sounding presenter pronounced it as 'You - Wan' 'Ray- on'. I don't know what time he is on. It could be a couple of hours. Definitely off to do something else, now.

Also, like Call the Midwife, so that's good news.

monopod · 03/11/2014 13:12

Thanks for the BBC Radio link! Have just listened in with a smile on my face :)

Not sure if this has been posted before but I'm currently listening to the OG soundtrack here: m.8tracks.com/albertart/our-girl-soundtrack :)

orphan · 03/11/2014 13:24

Still haven't managed to listen yet, but icemist you say he did the lip biting?!! Now I am really upset I didn't get to watch itSad

klj78 · 03/11/2014 13:35

Lol Rhubarb01 its not clear cut is it, I've listened to lots of different pronunciations this morning and I'm still not sure. There's also a big difference in a North Wales and South Wales accent, which clouds the issue further!

orphan I'm sure someone will have recorded it, so even if its not available to watch on BBC Iplayer, I reckon someone will put it on youtube eventually!

mandy214 · 03/11/2014 13:45

I think there are a couple of places where the script is slight different - when she says cockwombles instead of what it says in the script, I think its obviously repeating what CJ says right at the beginning - in my mind its Molly mimicking him, using the same humour and him picking up on that and laughing / enjoying the connection.

monopod · 03/11/2014 14:15

Mandy - agree. I wonder whether that was something that LT improvd on?

I ?? this soundtrack. I am trying to write a paper for work while listening to it and it is giving me the best chills (and plenty of stomach-churning flashbacks to beautiful OG scenes).

threadNneedle · 03/11/2014 15:16

I love the soundtrack but I'm so bad at connecting the track to what was happening in the scene.

Anyone care to test their OG knowledge - match the track to the scene using the soundtrack monopod introduced us to - m.8tracks.com/albertart/our-girl-soundtrack

I know that some of them were used more than once so just choose your fav scene.

btw - how do I bold text?

icemist · 03/11/2014 15:19

back home in time to listen to bbc manchester- realising why I never normally do lol

here you go Orphan

Interview is coming up shortly on BBC Manchester

monopod · 03/11/2014 15:35

Icemist do you know if they are replaying the video as well?

Richtea19 · 03/11/2014 15:36

I'm tuned in while watching Ep 4 on iplayer, bit of multi tasking, dreadful DJ!

icemist · 03/11/2014 15:36

for bold its *in front and end of the word

icemist · 03/11/2014 15:39

shocking! and they wonder why people don't listen to local radio. music is good though- I actually recognise songs lol

orphan · 03/11/2014 15:39

Oooh icemist thank you! Grin Just listened to the radio one interview. Too short! I did love BA's voice though when he said "It's the uniform" in response to the comment about CJ's popularity. Just something about the timbre of his voice then; it seemed very CJ like. If only BA knew the depth of adoration for the captain on this thread! I think he'd run a mile. Am so glad he said again that he believes CJ and Molly would make it as a couple. I don't think Tony Grounds would dare to split them up now if he wrote another series. There would be riots in the streets.

furcoatbigknickers · 03/11/2014 15:44

Tuned it... I've not missed it on bbc manchester, have i? Just listening to the 80s tunes not singing, honest guv

furcoatbigknickers · 03/11/2014 15:46

Omg I love the nervous lip biting Ben does. Dribble.

furcoatbigknickers · 03/11/2014 15:52

What did wethink so far?

icemist · 03/11/2014 15:53

ooh. much better interview this time.

neither of them knew how the storylines would develop past Ep 2 when they auditioned.

don't know why we have to have a song partway through though.
