Anyone see this? I thought it was entertaining and will be tuning in again next Tuesday.

Not as good as Sunshine Valley (?right name - but the one about the yorkshire kidnapping) - but still pretty good. I like David Morrissey.

I enjoyed it!

I'm sure some of it was filmed in London as I kept seeing bits I recognised. I also saw I sign for the imperial war museum, is there one in Manchester too?

Wrt his house I presumed they had bought years ago before house prices rocketed, it wasn't that big was it, it was a big family home I thought not palatial.

LOVED the teen daughter having a tantrum,Dh and I looked at each other and said 'the writer obviously has a teen'Grin

Greyhound · 25/09/2014 20:40

Mainly filmed in Manchester; there is an Imperial War Museum there.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 25/09/2014 23:54

Ah right, thanksSmile

MorrisZapp · 26/09/2014 08:45

Yes the teen daughter was well drawn. Hideous and appalling one minute, sweet and funny the next. I didn't really get the boyfriend thing though. Would any teenage boy be openly rude and mocking when alone in a car with his girlfriends dad? Surely not. Even if it's only for diplomatic purposes, I'd have expected 'yes Mrs Paterson, no Mrs Paterson' a la Kevin the teenager.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 26/09/2014 08:57

Actually my niece brought a similar boy home, my sister in law tore a strip off him!Grin

MorrisZapp · 27/09/2014 09:08

Can't wait for the next one. Universal raves in the papers. Also my SIL bonded over D Morrissey appreciation! That rarely happens.

Nancy66 · 30/09/2014 13:25

really enjoyed it too.

Could have sworn that was the Hammersmith flyover though - where the police pulled him over.

It was driving me mad where I recognised the actress who played his wife from. Gosford park!

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 30/09/2014 17:07

I'm certain it was filmed in London too!Grin

Oh yes, THAT'S where the wife is from! Thanks for that, it was bugging meSmile

KenDoddsDadsDog · 30/09/2014 20:30

Who's watching tonight ?

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 30/09/2014 20:32

I will beSmile

Bowlersarm · 30/09/2014 20:34

I'm scared to watch...what's going to happen to the guy they shoved in the boot?....seemed brutal and I'm a wuss.

senojeel · 30/09/2014 20:47

It's very definitely filmed in Manchester, where they pulled him over is an old rd near the mancunian way where they built a skate park and where he got out of the car to look at the guns was under the metro bridge in castlefield near the science museum, not everything is filmed in that there London Wink

KenDoddsDadsDog · 30/09/2014 21:32

The shooting scene was so scary.

Bowlersarm · 30/09/2014 21:55

What's happening? I've sky plussed it. But i need to know - does the boot person get out alive?

KenDoddsDadsDog · 30/09/2014 21:58

It's very very grim. I can't possibly say.

Bowlersarm · 30/09/2014 22:01

Oh Sad.

I watched David Morrissey on The One Show-it was lovely to see him so smiley and laughing, the characters he plays are so tortured and depressive.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 30/09/2014 22:27

I would spoil it for you . I'm going to have to watch Peppa pig or something before bed Shock

Bowlersarm · 30/09/2014 22:34

I don't think I can watch it if it's that grim

MorrisZapp · 30/09/2014 22:44

Christ my nerves are shredded! Even DP was gripped and scared.

Although for light relief, he noted that Mrs Morrissey looked a bit like Iggy Pop when she got angry.

I think she's going to get angrier :(

Clawdy · 30/09/2014 22:56

Found tonight's episode far too violent - gratuitously so. We didn't need to see all that gleeful head-kicking, it was tense and grim enough without that. Not sure I'll watch next week.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 01/10/2014 06:30

I can't get Mrs Morrissey out of my head from Lark Rise to Candleford!

ProfYaffle · 01/10/2014 06:54

Re location, yes, very definitely filmed in Manchester. Agree with senojeel, the 'flyover' was the Mancunian Way, plenty of shots of the top of it too and I think the M62 going into Eccles as well as loads of shots of very recognisable Manchester landmarks.

ProfYaffle · 01/10/2014 06:55

And yes, there is an Imperial War Museum in Manchester.

polkadotdelight · 01/10/2014 07:04

I had to turn it off last night. DS born on Saturday and that violence in the midst of baby blues finished me off!
