What happened to The Apprentice this year? It's not been on, has it?

I missed what they started off with - but the sausages, I'd have done hotdogs, but with mustard/ketchup/onions and charged £3 or £4 quid and done 'cones' of roasties/wedges for a few quid.

T-shirt... dunno, but I'd have picked them up from the printers Grin

Flowers - small bunches, reasonably priced.

SpringHeeledJack · 14/10/2014 22:47

back here tomoz, chipping

the twitter made my head hurt

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 14/10/2014 22:48

I am an Apprentice novice - I have watched the odd snippet of previous series, but this is the first time I have watched most of a programme, or the first in the series - and I am hooked!

But - I have to ask - shouting at the TV, and my blood pressure rising as I watch them doing ever more stupid things - that is the normal way to watch the Apprentice, yes?

What on earth were they THINKING???

How much for the bucket and Mr Muscle? And I was boggling at the girls selling their t-shirts to the printer for a measly £60 - until the boys decided not to bother picking theirs up at all!

Is it always this good? Have I missed years of numpties like these trying to sell Paris Mipers?

giraffescantboogie · 14/10/2014 22:49

Can't wait until tomorrow

HaroldLloyd · 14/10/2014 22:49

Oh yes, YEARS. This is pretty standard!

Tapas. Potato, sausage and lemony tapas.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 14/10/2014 22:51

Dh is going to disapprove like crazy - but I am in! It is set up on the sky+ box. >

Silkchiffon · 14/10/2014 22:55

Can't believe his Lordship let Team Debacle off that £250 bucket and sponge madness.

Love Steven - anyone else find him strangely reminiscent of Gus Fring?

ChippingInLatteLover · 14/10/2014 23:03

SDTG Where do I start??

I am an Apprentice novice Gasp.

I have watched the odd snippet of previous series, but this is the first time I have watched most of a programme, or the first in the series - and I am hooked!

I was a 'whatever' viewer before the MN threads - they MAKE the series, for sure!

I have to ask - shouting at the TV, and my blood pressure rising as I watch them doing ever more stupid things - that is the normal way to watch the Apprentice, yes?

Yes - we always have plenty of Wine I have found that keeping my hands busy posting on the thread has saved me chucking things at the TV Grin

What on earth were they THINKING???

Oh, you have to try to wrap your head around the fact that they do fuck all thinking! and none of us ever have any idea how they have the businesses/jobs they say they do (and in fact, sometimes it turns out that they don't Grin)

How much for the bucket and Mr Muscle? They wanted £250 (there was actually quite a lot of stuff in boxes etc - but a ZOO? Non environmentally friendly products? For the love of fish!)

I was boggling at the girls selling their t-shirts to the printer for a measly £60 - until the boys decided not to bother picking theirs up at all!

Yep - you sort of become immune to the level of stupidity - eventually. That's why fresh blood on the thread is so good!

Is it always this good? Have I missed years of numpties like these trying to sell Paris Mipers?

Yes - and comments like BOF's

Wine

and none of us ever have any idea how they have the businesses/jobs they say they do (and in fact, sometimes it turns out that they don't)

^ This is why the interview week is so funny, when it turns out that "executive director of a multinational corporation" actually means they work in their mum's newsagent shop in Essex and stock Irn Bru.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 14/10/2014 23:09

The girls actually paid the printer £90 to take the t-shirts as they had paid him £150 to print them and then sold them to him for £60.

Just catching up with the thread now. That's the first time I've seen Chiles' name written down. The whole way through the programme I thought he was called Charles, and wondered why they were all pronouncing it a bit strangely. Blush

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 14/10/2014 23:23

Thank-you for the Wine and the information, ChippingIn - now my only problem is waiting for the next episode!

ChippingInLatteLover · 14/10/2014 23:27

You will be here tomorrow night SDTG??

ChippingInLatteLover · 14/10/2014 23:27

Sarnia Grin

CointreauVersial · 14/10/2014 23:33

The bloke who was fired looked like John Locke from Lost.

LittleBearPad · 14/10/2014 23:38

I'm intrigued as to how much effort Sarah thought slicing lemons would be. How many people does she know who would buy sliced lemons to save themselves the bother Shock

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 14/10/2014 23:46

I will be here, though I may have to gag dh with duct tape!

AliceDoesntLiveHereAnymore · 14/10/2014 23:51

Everyone the women "negotiated" with (and I use that term loosely in their case!!) ended up easily besting them. They really have no idea how to negotiate prices do they? Confused

Ellenora5 · 15/10/2014 00:34

Phew, epic thread, I haven't posted since the first page (I'm not a multi tasker to my shame Blush )

First off Roisin reminds me of Abbey Clancy and that is just unforgivable ( SCD 2013 I couldn't stand her) so she is out for me

Short skirts, high heels and make up, fuck the fuck off back to the fifties

Didn't mind Chiles too much to be honest, got a bit ahead of himself and fell at the last hurdle

Think Steven will be great for the entertainment Grin

Fillipe is flying by the seat of his pants

Roberts clothes are ridiculous and I bet if he lasts long enough he will conform to the traditional suit and tie Smile

Loved Dara O'Brian

R4roger · 15/10/2014 06:19

the girls are SUCH bitches. you see how they nominated ice to Eskimos woman. felt sorry for her . ok it could be in the editing but they were horrible!

twofingerstoGideon · 15/10/2014 07:01

the girls are SUCH bitches... Really?

Was I watching a different programme or did the men gang up on Steven and bitch about him as well? I don't think bitchiness is confined to one sex.
