That's it...so badly cast....what was Joss thinking? I feel so annoyed everytime she gets screen time when it can be given to the other characters.

I promise I do have a busy life, just feel strongly about this Grin

i agree
she is horrendous just dont know what he was thinking

GratefulHead · 12/09/2014 01:07

YANBU....unfortunately I think Buffy had lost the plot by the last season. All those slayers was a silly idea. One of the weakest seasons for me apart from the divine Spike.

whathaveiforgottentoday · 12/09/2014 01:11

Can't say I hated her but she was annoying.

Shiongmaoniao · 12/09/2014 01:11

I hated season 5 onwards HATED glory
disliked the multitude of slayers
wished they hadd of just ended it when it was good so i could bemoan it ending to soon
(ok maybe i will never be happy with a series ever )

whathaveiforgottentoday · 12/09/2014 01:12

Can't wait for my DD's to be old enough to watch buffy so we can watch them together. I've got a few years to wait yet.

HKat · 12/09/2014 09:04

I didn't think declined and liked season 7- they needed to end it in a way that would end the whole 'I'm the only one, woe is me, no one understands, pressure pressure' fest that Buffy could do. But I agree that Kennedy was an awful character, especially after Tara who was so right for Willlow - though I guess the total contrast was the point (unashamed Buffy geek!)

MarmosetMum · 12/09/2014 12:09

I know what you mean about the ending...if it wasn't for Spike, I still would have watched it but not enjoyed it. I may gave to leave my husband if he keeps making fun of Spike's accent....

I can't wait to introduce it to my DS too!

I'm just re watching them again! I'm on season 4. It's reminding me how much I love Anya & Spike!
I agree about Kennedy, I found her even more irritating than Dawn & I found Dawn pretty bloody irritating!!

ALittleFaith · 13/09/2014 20:16

I agree. She is just so brash, Tara was so gentle and delicate. I did love the ending though, when they ask Buffy what she's going to do now and she just smiles :)

Gileswithachainsaw · 13/09/2014 20:19

I agree. But I think I hated her because she wasn't tara I loved tara

ABlandAndDeadlyCourtesy · 13/09/2014 20:24

I don't think it was the fault of the actress that the character was so different to Tara.

ALittleFaith · 13/09/2014 20:37

No you're right ABland, I just don't like the character. She's meant to be bolshy, she's just not endearing!

cashmiriana · 16/09/2014 16:38

Kennedy's problem is she isn't Tara. Tara was absolutely lovely. nothing . But she only had a few episodes to establish herself and that was going to be hard.

I loved Glory!

I also have an unhealthy thing for Spike.

And will never forgive Joss Whedon for a) killing Tara b) killing Anya c) making the utterly divine Nathan Fillion into one of the scariest villains ever, just by making him actually quite credible as a misogynistic killer. Ugh.

cashmiriana · 16/09/2014 16:38

oh dear random word in that post. Just ignore!

Gileswithachainsaw · 16/09/2014 16:40

Yes I can't forgive him either for tara or anya. I can't believe he broke her and cancer up either.

Agree with the spine thing

Gileswithachainsaw · 16/09/2014 16:40

Spike

ABlandAndDeadlyCourtesy · 16/09/2014 16:40

Killing Tara and killing Anya was good writing!

Deus ex amulet was crap writing.

ABlandAndDeadlyCourtesy · 16/09/2014 16:41

Assume that was Xander not cancer...

Gileswithachainsaw · 16/09/2014 16:42

Oh ffs how can a phone not recognise xander Confused

FoxSticks · 16/09/2014 16:43

I couldn't stand her either, she was far too in your face. I don't think I will ever forgive Joss Wheddon for killing Anya either, and in such an inconsequential way. It just happened. Then they all wandered away without even mentioning her, she'd been a major character for so long! She was my favourite. Sob.

cashmiriana · 17/09/2014 14:07

Killing Tara and killing Anya was good writing!

It was. But I agree with FoxSticks that they spent far too little time mourning Anya at the end. It was oddly casual. Faith thinking that Robin was dead was more heartfelt.

Whedon is a genius. Ramping up the angst with Buffy and Spike to the last second was just cruel of him. No easy resolution there!

ALittleFaith · 17/09/2014 14:31

Yes I felt Anya's death was rushed.

I remember the first time I saw it I was urging Buffy to tel Spike she loved him. His reply was brilliant too.

EveDallasRetd · 17/09/2014 14:39

I thought Anyas death was perfect. You have to remember that no-one trusted her by then. She'd killed a roomful of humans, became a demon again, hurt them all and Buffy went against herself/her code by not killing her. I think it needed to be inconsequential - and it was because of course she died saving someone that no-one really cared about.

I didn't really like Kennedy, but then I didn't really like Tara either. Kennedy was too full on, Tara was too wet. Willow needed a female Oz really.

ABlandAndDeadlyCourtesy · 17/09/2014 15:12

I liked Anya's death too - in a battle like that, not all the deaths could be noble and full of suspense.

ABlandAndDeadlyCourtesy · 17/09/2014 15:13

Oz. Yum.
