New thread for the US open.

Am hoping to get round to seeing some of it, but in the meantime, I am limbering up my refresh finger. Grin

Oh it's so frustrating not being able to watch anything. I see Anderson has put out Janowicz which is a shame (imo).

JuanPotatoTwo · 29/08/2014 22:25

Oh and the Ernie/Dom match looks like it's really good - 2 sets all. It's not faaaiiirrr

JuanPotatoTwo · 29/08/2014 22:26

I set all in Klingon v Berdych.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 29/08/2014 22:30

Bust A Gut, looks like he's going through quite easily.

Thiem looks like he's giving Gulbis a run for his money

Raahh · 29/08/2014 22:31

The Ernie/Dom match does look good (from the scoresGrin) A proper grudge match.

I will sit and visualise Ernie getting a bit cross with himself racquets

Is anyone going to the O2 in November? Can't decide whether to go or not as it's quite expensive and Pot won't be there. On the other hand, it's a great atmosphere, and a chance to see some of the top 8.

JuanPotatoTwo · 29/08/2014 22:41

Hi Clay. Haven't seen you in a while.

Ooh, I quite like the idea of visualising Ernie :) He may be mardy but he has lovely hair :) There's a great clip on YouTube if you can be bothered to look of some middle aged women (who'd obviously partaken of the drink) harassing him (good naturedly) in Stoke Park in the summer. And, no, I wasn't one of them not brave enough.

DramaAlpaca · 29/08/2014 22:50

Eurosport showing live tennis now - the Wozniacki match.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 29/08/2014 22:52

I'll believe you this time Juan since it's Gulbis. If it had been Pot, you'd have been the ringleader.

Raahh · 29/08/2014 23:18

And Dom has won, but I feel sorry for Gulbis.

Definitely a match i would like to have 'seen' .

If it had been Pot, there would have been no ring to lead - I'm not sharing him with anyone :)

Nice win for Dom, hope Ernie won't take it too hard.

JuanPotatoTwo · 29/08/2014 23:26

Klingon v Berdych looks like it might be a good one too - in the fourth set now.

Raahh · 29/08/2014 23:32

C'mon Klingon!! Tennis

I'm watching Wozniacki, and she's playing really well. It's like she is seeing Rory's head on the ball Grin

Ooh never mind her. There are pics of Pot in a suit on his FB page. Oh I'm too old for all this excitement, how lovely he is

Raahh · 30/08/2014 00:04

Aww- so there is. Isn't he lovely? Bet he made that little girl's day.

Raahh · 30/08/2014 00:06

oh crumbs- come on, Klingon! Berdych has the upperhand in his match.

JuanPotatoTwo · 30/08/2014 00:09

Berdych v Klingon in fifth now.

JuanPotatoTwo · 30/08/2014 00:14

He is lovely Raahh isn't he:) I can't comment on his FB page though because dh somehow sees what I've written - not absolutely sure how the old FB works Blush - and then proceeds to tease me relentlessly ...

JuanPotatoTwo · 30/08/2014 00:27

Oh shame, Berdych won.

Raahh · 30/08/2014 00:29

SadPoor Klingon.

Federer up next. I might not be able to take the excitement Grin

Seems that Ernie started cramping towards end of third set and struggled thereafter :(

AnyoneForTARDIS · 30/08/2014 16:17

just read Andy murrays voting yes in Scottish referendum which means if they go independent hell be playing as a Scot not as Brit.

so well have no decent British players soon yet again! Sad

PetiteRaleuse · 30/08/2014 17:25

I thought his primary residence was in London so he wouldn't be entitled to vote? Might be wrong though.

AnyoneForTARDIS · 30/08/2014 17:50

Id think the Scots would overlook that fact, theyre very proud of him, look at the reception and honours he got in Dunblane.

and the British media don't stop building him up then running him down.that might have swayed him?

JuanPotatoTwo · 30/08/2014 18:41

I'm surprised he's made his opinions known, hope the press don't try and make something out of this like the whole debacle few years ago.
