Two celebs confirmed so far for the 2014 series:

Frankie from The Saturdays
Judy Murray (Andy's mum)

Not sure if they are deliberately only releasing one name at a time, but it can't be long before the big reveal.

So polish off your Cuban heels and slip into something tight and sparkly, it's almost here!

I know that Aliona was tough on Greg but Greg forgot a lot of steps (or so it looked...). I can't believe that puts him higher than Scott (yes I know he was awful but he seemed to do all the steps?!)

I agree. Scott was bad but surely not worse than Greg? I can't stand Greg Wallace but Aliona was so rude not to even pretend she couldn't stand him!

I liked a lot of them. So glad Steve was good. Love him! Trent is very cute too and even Mark Wright...the shame Blush. I like Jake too. Seems a nice bloke.

Going to be a great series I think.

Agree Aliona looks like she can't stand Greg (though I've always liked her in previous seasons).

Tom (I'm boycotting the H because its stupid) must be dull if they're throwing him and Iveta into the showmance week 1.

Frankie seems likeable, unlike DVO, so she might be in with a chance. She needs to have a couple of rubbish weeks though just to be on the safe side.

Judy Murray was truly dreadful Marshy, and that was when she was locked firmly in hold doing a dead simple waltz. As soon as we saw Anton coming out in a kilt we knew that he was plainly desperate - playing the Tartan Card is like Ola's catsuit, the sign of a very poor dancer. I shudder to think how bad Judy's going to be when she does Latin.

LWMB (least worst member of blue) could well be BMCD (best male celeb dancer). So far I'm rooting for Simon and the nature guy with the big arms (never seen him before) and Allison and Jake.

Greg was hilarious. Aliona probs hates him because he's a vile leech who is up himself. Hes taking it all so seriously. As is Caroline. Hate those who come across as desperate to win.

Like Simon. Cant stand Alison, many many years ago my friend met her at an airport and mentioned that she had watched Alison on big brother within earshot. Alison went flipping mental saying that she was famous because of her talent and presenting and nothing to do with bb. Still can't forgive her for that rant.

Am not keen on the judges dancing in. Still don't like tess but I do like Claudia (sans the comedy bandages).

I don't think Andy would ever live it down on the circuit either!

I really liked LWMB & Kristina.
Can't really get past my dislike of all the celebs the booked to reel in the 'younger viewer' Pixie, Mark, Frankie, Caroline. They're just all so vacuous.
I'm not into Alison either.

(As a Brummie aside I'm so excited about peaky blinders I could weep.)

Sorry to just pop in - will read the thread properly in a moment.. but could someone tell me what Gregg's score was please? I am supposed to be sorting the Strictly work sweepstake and completely forgot to make a note - despite sitting through it (I also thought Aliona was a bitch as he seems like quite good fun and she's just not...!)

Well I've just caught up!

I have to start by saying- I love Claudia! So much more natural than Tess who would've been far better placed as a card turner overer on play your cards right and is all wrong for this show. I was up in arms when Zoe took over on ITT at first but now think that her and Claud would be great together on sat nights!

I thought that Steve and sunetra both did well and I expected better comments (but I know nothing really)!

Love the way Thom looks but was disappointed that he didn't come across as very likeable.

I also wish that Simon had the jive later in the series as that could have been truly spectacular!

Love Brendan's choreography.

Dislike Aliona's attitude and choreographing for herself not her celeb.

Yes Thom, you'd just have to tell him to shut up while you ogled wouldn't you? Just so he didn't spoil the illusion with his dullness!
You could tell from the first show that Aliona was less than thrilled with Greg as a partner and it showed this week too.

There are comments all over the Facebook Strictly page saying that Aliona has a bad attitude and should never have been brought back. She is the only dancer all across the Series that I can recall Len actively criticising for choreographing for herself, not her celeb.

I'm not keen on Aliona, at all. Does everyone else remember the atrocious choreography she gave Rav whatisface? He was furious about it IIRC. Anyway, they were fools to bring her back this year. She was only on last year's show to replace Nat when she got injured. It seems to me that she's just showing up to collect her pay cheque & will be happy for an early boot.

I think Caroline's really likable & she was much, much better than I expected.

I loved the green dresses. Frankie's good but she strikes me as quite personality-free. I suspect Kevin won't have as much fun this year as last.

I was surprised by how good Mark Wright was - I think he'll give Simon Webbe a run for his money as best male. He also came across as quite sweet & genuine.

Love Claudia. So happy Bruce finally threw in the towel because he was painful (& incredibly arrogant.)
