The previous one ended where they made the announcement about the little boy Harry ( who played Leo)

So, a new one.

The Wedding (Dan and Kerry)
The desperate attempts of Pria to get married off
The bloke Who tried to kill Finn (who was he) and why is Finn in anguish ?

The female vicar Harriet who is harbouring a huge crush on Ashley
Sam and Tracy

It's limping along.

uurrgghhh, Lachlan is a creepy little slimeball. I can't believe that Chrissy, despite her own worries about his inappropriate behaviour is sticking by him - he needs help. If she and Lawrence keep on trying to cover for him and buy him out of trouble goodness knows what he'll do next. Maybe it'll take him attacking someone else in the village before he is caught and sent down. I agree, what a vile family. Murderer Robert and sex offender creep boy. Not to mention weak willed Lawrence and shrilly, deluded Chrissy!

ilovechristmas1 · 05/03/2015 10:10

why didnt Alicia tell the police that Lawrence suggested money to retract the statement

CharityD · 05/03/2015 10:28

I thought the scene with Alicia, Leyla and David was very good, last night.

ilovechristmas1 · 05/03/2015 19:28

oh dear poor Val

Pastamancer · 06/03/2015 19:22

Can someone please put Andy out of his misery, he's so annoying

qazxc · 06/03/2015 19:25

Chrissie is vile. Full on victim blaming, it's Alicia's fault for dressing the way she does ; it's the previous girls fault for making a big deal out of it....
I hope they wind up this story quick, at the moment, all it says is that if you go to the police you have to go through a load of questioning and procedures and then nothing happens. Anyone watching this are going to think "why bother/ it's more trouble than it's worth".

qazxc · 06/03/2015 19:28

Andy is a tit. When you have kids you suck it up in front of them. I've known people who have lost a child, they couldn't crumble because they had other kids to look after.

ilovechristmas1 · 07/03/2015 17:30

up thread i said i didnt like Chrissy, she comes a cross as a spoilt little rich girl, glad im not the only one that finds her annoying

SlatternIsMyMiddleName · 07/03/2015 20:36

Initially I admired Emmerdale for tackling the sexual assault storyline. I thought it was interesting to show that there are other types of sexual assault than rape. But now I'm very disappointed.

The message seems to be - if you report a sexual assault not only will the police not believe you, but some people will also label you a paedophile and accuse you of grooming. Not only is your life dessimated by the sexual assault but you will carry the stigma of a paedophile allegation too.

Way to go Emmerdale Sad.

qazxc · 08/03/2015 14:40

Surely they can't leave the sexual assault storyline there, and it somehow comes out what happened and that Lachlan has been lying! Because leaving it as it is now is really irresponsible writing. It's just discouraging assault victims from coming forward.
On a bitchy note, could someone stop putting Chrissy in that fur gilet, it makes her look all bulky and square (like spongebob squarepants).

CharityD · 08/03/2015 15:24

I'm guessing they will have to redeem that storyline, by having the truth emerge. It would indeed be very irresponsible writing to leave it as is.
At the moment, it looks like they went for a really shocking storyline, to boost ratings, but that it has backfired on them, because of the way they portrayed it, having the case dropped, against Lachlan.

I must say Alicia is brilliant, and Leyla and David are also playing their parts really well.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 11/03/2015 22:25

weird to have the Lochie/Alicia storyline and the Andy/Bernice storyline (where she invites him for a drink and he pounces on her) running almost side-by-side.
He accuses her of practically throwing herself at him on his wedding day then takes up with Sam's girlfriend whose name escapes me.

But today. Carley.
Eh? Who is she? I know she's Bob's daughter but I've never heard of her before.
And she's a mouthy bolshy one, hope she gets back in her car and jogs on, but she'll probably stay (and get a job in the garage, she's probably a mechanic, or the stables, probably a qualified instructor Hmm )

I had to google Carly. He never mentions her or her brother, the only children I'd remember him mentioning are Kathy, Heath and Dawn.
I also don't understand all these meetings and stomping over to Andy's about him shacking up with Tracey. What are they going to achieve? Robert is right, just let it fizzle out naturally.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 15/03/2015 21:50

I know Andy is Robert's brother ( adopted brother) and he feels that he needs to protect and house him (out of obligation and guilt rather than brotherly love) but you don't just move someone in like Andy has with Tracy.
Lawrence should've shoved her out the door (and Andy close behind her)

I Googled Bob Hopes children/ex wives- he's been busy Grin

I've always had Bob as my favourite Emmers bloke ( my age group too) He's funny and does those little wavy hand gestures.
IRL the actor runs marathons so he's fit too.

Keep your Ross/Kirin/David/Andy Wink

Pearl was really annoying tonight,

Surely Paddy and Rhona would realise that everytime the bank is mentioned she changes the subject and procrastinates? She is being so devious and selfish and I hope she gets found out soon.

Or am I just being mean and horrible about an elderly woman and her problems?

CharityD · 18/03/2015 19:12

Ugh, Lachlan!

gaggiagirl · 19/03/2015 23:16

Assistance required!
I only saw half of tonight's double bill due to a recording disaster.
David has Lachlan in a barn.....what happened next??? I've got no way of catching up.
Thank you dear mners.

Pastamancer · 20/03/2015 08:00

David got angry, Lachlan pissed himself, David called Eric for help and they took Lachlan back home. Emma set Ross and Carly up, Laurel got pissed at the pamper party. Can't think of anything else

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 20/03/2015 10:04

Lachlan told David that his family were engaging a soliciter to press charges ( sueing for slander I presume) .
He told Chrissie (his Mum) about the times he and Alicia had kissed , she wore red boots, black top, white skirt, he had passed out with the excitement.

His Mum later saw an online video about kissing...............showing a woman and a male (not sure if it was an older woman/young male) exactly how he described the fantasy kiss. His Mum then realised that Lachlan is a fantastist and he's been lying.

Laurel made £90 profit on the Pamper Party but was left with several bottles of fizz............................... (and she was 'merry' when they all left)

pasta 70 thank you so much for that!
Lachlan is such a little creep isn't he?
Eeeee laurel,laurel......poor laurel.

Ellenora5 · 20/03/2015 14:17

I haven't been watching much of it, I found that storyline with Alicia and Lachlan really disturbing, don't know why it bothered me so much.

I hope he is actually punished for what he did and not just sent to his room with no laptop access.

CharityD · 20/03/2015 14:24

I was the same Ellenora, that storyline really bothered me, and I bowed out for a while. Last night though, I thought was very well played by all concerned. I felt so sorry for David, when he really didn't knows what to do, and when he lost it with Lachlan.
I do hope that justice will be served, in the end.

On a lighter note, Kerry was very funny, helping Laurel to practise for the party, putting on an accent and so on. Grin

Ellenora5 · 20/03/2015 19:10

Ah I felt sorry for him aswell, he really doesn't know what to be doing, I think I'd have killed him.

Yes Kerry is great, I think she is hilarious Grin

TrulyTurtles · 20/03/2015 19:26

Missed most of tonight, does the shop not have cctv, to prove that that creep tried it again? So Chrissie believes them now eh? Good, I've not been able to watch.

ilovechristmas1 · 20/03/2015 19:31

well really happy Chrissy has seen sense, not her biggest fan but she has done the right thing
