Here. At one point Quinn appears to be either hugging or killing Salieri - apart from that it tells you very little. But still - Homeland!!!

I reckon (based on nothing except slowly building hype and last year's timings) that we're looking at late September/early October. Can we cope in a world without Brody?

I didn't watch the last series of Spooks.
Did their version of Brody die too?
Or was he lost in the smaug?

Howaboutthisone · 05/11/2014 14:47

Caught up last night and was/am very much wtf carrie?! I was already thinking that she was inappropriately dressed if she wanted to show that she respected Pi and his beliefs etc. That was madness! I also thought that the safe house would have some cameras/sound set up. Though that hasn't deterred her in the past.

Howaboutthisone · 05/11/2014 14:48

I'm wondering if the face from the past at the airport is Saul's wife's ex fancy man?

Chandon · 05/11/2014 15:17

exactly, she seduced Brodie too, this is how she operates...

and somehow I still like her

RudeBarbandCustard · 05/11/2014 22:31

Just read an interview in Harper's Bazaar magazine (at hairdressers!) with Claire Danes.

In it she says of Brody "‘I’m going to miss him,’ says Danes. ‘A lot of people, even my friends, were saying, “Is he really dead?” And it’s absurd, but I think there’s a part of me that is also a little unsure."

Is she HINTING?

But then she goes on to say how strange it will be without him. So I don't think she is. But a little part of me went Ooooooooh! when I read that!!

YonicScrewdriver · 05/11/2014 22:36

I don't think she's unsure but it makes sense to be tantiliding.

RudeBarbandCustard · 05/11/2014 22:48

Yeah, I think you're right Yonic. She does say how much she'll miss him, and how hard it will be to carry the show on her own..

Everything I read about her is full of awe and admiration from other, well respected actors, at her acting skills. She is good, I'm just not sure that the current series is stretching her as much. Need some more drama!

But no snogging Pi. That's just wrong. STOP IT!!!

TheDietStartsTomorrow · 07/11/2014 08:48

Poor Pi. Carrie's getting more and more horrible with each episode. She doesn't deserve Quinn.

noddyholder · 07/11/2014 08:51

I think this series is fantastic She is my favourite female TV lead in years

OneSkinnyChip · 09/11/2014 18:37

An early wave at fellow Quinnites Grin I shall return at 9 with a bowl of popcorn and some rather nice creamy liqueur I save for special occasions. Can't wait to see what happens next with Pi.

Hassled · 09/11/2014 18:44

I was just coming to find the thread and there it was! I'll be scanning my retinas in plenty of time for later.

DS1 reckons Carrie's screwing of Pi is a reflection of the US/CIA shafting the civilians with the drone strikes etc. But she'll have his loyalty now, won't she?

is it nine oclock yet?? Loving this series!

OneSkinnyChip · 09/11/2014 18:53

Brody is reading the CBeebies bedtime story Grin Grin Grin

YonicScrewdriver · 09/11/2014 18:55

Oh, that's from a whole ago I think.

Lweji · 09/11/2014 18:57

I think some of you will need to cover your eyes tonight. And ears.

Travelledtheworld · 09/11/2014 19:08

Sex. Or violence ?
Do I need to ban DD from the room ?

Lweji · 09/11/2014 19:11

How old is DD?

secretsquirrels · 09/11/2014 19:11

Ha just caught up. I'll be watching tomorrow, through my fingers apparently Lweji.

Travelledtheworld · 09/11/2014 19:18

Just 16.
If there is too much visible sex she will probably leave the room of her own accord rather than watch it with me.
If violence we will be screaming together.

Lweji · 09/11/2014 19:21

You will be screaming at the screen, rather. (I was at the stupid, stupid man, you'd think he would know better)

I think your DD will be ok, then, though. Just about.

secretsquirrels · 09/11/2014 19:22

I'll watch most things with teenage DSs but Homeland sex scenes can be a bit sudden and graphic Blush.

Hassled · 09/11/2014 19:39

Yes - I watch with 16 year old DS2 and we have our fair share of squirmy moments. He's as in to it as I am, though, and TV watching is pretty much our only shared activity other than eating these days - we bond over Homeland, now we've gone all the way through The West Wing (twice).

OP posts:
secretsquirrels · 09/11/2014 19:57

Hassled that's great. I have a similar bonding over tv thing with DS1(18). It started when we watched desperate Housewives together when he was 16, then this year we have watched the entire box set of Greys Anatomy and have just started on Breaking Bad.
Homeland is all mine though.

Cocolepew · 09/11/2014 20:27

Here I am, ready to shout at Carrie again Hmm

Cocolepew · 09/11/2014 20:33

Dammit, DH is, watching the Grand Prix so have to watch it at 10 Sad
