I love this programme. I can even not hate Davina. I do love a good sob though.

I want him and Inge to meet as well. Although I'll be wailing by then I expect...

YoHoHoandabottleofWine · 04/08/2014 21:50

how funny, the father said when he saw a photo of his daughter: she looks a happy sort. And she said when she saw a picture of him: he looks so happy!

TensionWheelsCoolHeels · 04/08/2014 21:53

I missed the very start - did Inge not marry or have other children?

TensionWheelsCoolHeels · 04/08/2014 21:56

Oh god this is just so sad!

Kimaroo · 04/08/2014 21:59

Yes Inge is married and has grown up children

Icelollycraving · 04/08/2014 21:59

This is a good one!! Sobbing.
She really reminds me of the one off of dragons den.

She does ice, good call. That was lovely, so nice to see her meet both parents. The hankie ratio on this one was high!

OhGoveUckYourself · 04/08/2014 22:08

Wonderful stuff and very appropriate with the Wilfred Owen connection and the marking of the start of WWI (clutches hanky).

OhGoveUckYourself · 04/08/2014 22:09

Sorry, still a bit emotional- meant to say the marking of 100 years since the start of WWI.

rockpink · 04/08/2014 22:12

Didn't her son look like her birth mum!

Icelollycraving · 04/08/2014 22:12

Yes very apt for tonight.

I would love to know if Inge and Jeremy have met up too.

Rainicorn · 05/08/2014 11:14

Just finished watching last nights. I am a mess and I'm meant to be going out for lunch with friends in an hour.

What a heartbreaking story. It was heartbreaking, when Inge was talking about putting her baby in the Moses basket and having to walk away, when the dad Jeremy broke down about not being able to cuddle her as a baby.

Rivercam · 05/08/2014 19:48

Last night was really emotional. When the dad cried - that was a real release of built up emotion, I felt embarrassed watching it, as if I was intruding. The family resemblance between father and daughter was so strong, one of the biggest similarities that there has been.

RiffyWammal · 05/08/2014 20:12

I love this programme and Davina. This is the first time I've read this thread and it so funny how you've all said the same things I did when watching the episodes! I thought about genetic sexual attraction too in the ep with the foxy Frenchman, but that may just have been because they were both attractive.

Hehe we even made the same observation about the woman last night looking like Deborah Meaden. Her dad was so lovely!

Icelollycraving · 11/08/2014 21:52

This weeks are really making me cry. That poor man, this could destroy him :(

It's like she wiped him from memory.

TensionWheelsCoolHeels · 11/08/2014 21:54

This might be the closest to a not do happy ending they've come to.

TensionWheelsCoolHeels · 11/08/2014 21:55

Not so

Icelollycraving · 11/08/2014 21:56

So sad. Poor poor man :(

She's not softening the blows.

Icelollycraving · 11/08/2014 21:59

Oh good,it ended ok,phew.

Icelollycraving · 11/08/2014 22:02

Well,at least he didn't cry is what I mean. I didn't feel she was a very warm person, she wasn't really listening.
I think Jacqueline was a bit uncomfortable (understandably) with the cuddling & face stroking. The mins thanking each other was beautiful.

It's the first time, I think, where we have seen the adoptive mother. I thought it was lovely that they met and hugged other, and were thanking each other.

I felt the second mother seemed a little unemotional initially, but maybe thats because she has suppressed the memories, or didn't want to be emotional on tv. It was lovely at the end when she said she could proudly say she had three sons. I hope her son got all his answers. He seem a quiet type of person who needed answers.

FruVikingessOla · 11/08/2014 22:17

I agree, neither of tonight's reunions made comfortable viewing.

I felt that Jacqueline felt completely detached - although watching her BM and adopted mum meeting had me blubbing.

And that poor guy. So, so sad.
