Someone linked to it in one of the threads. Its much easier to look at like that I think.

Mama1980 · 06/06/2014 21:14

Phew I've found you. Not time to write or watch tennis though Smile

trixymalixy · 06/06/2014 21:22

I'm disappointed Andy didn't really bring his game to the match, but Nadal was on fire and think the conclusion was inevitable.

I won two sets of Wimbledon tickets this year win the ballots. The first set in the public ballot clashed with my parent's ruby wedding party. The second set from my tennis club ballot clashed with something else. I'm gutted!

Raahh · 06/06/2014 21:36

trixy -noooo! Sad

and Envy that you got tickets at all!

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 06/06/2014 21:58

That's gutting trixy.

trixymalixy · 06/06/2014 22:05

Next year i'll be clearing my diary for the whole Wimbledon fortnight, and what are the bets that I don't get any tickets?!

JuanPotatoTwo · 06/06/2014 22:17

Clay - that's so clever and interesting. Thank you for that.

trixy I'm so mean I would have ditched both events in favour of Wimbledon :) I never get tickets in the ballot.

We haven't got tickets in the ballot for years. I think we gave the last lot away actually.

trixymalixy · 06/06/2014 22:34

Join a tennis club, the odds are much greater in your favour. In my club only one person who entered the ballot didn't get tickets in the end (after mine were re drawn Sad).

I'd never managed to get tickets in the public ballot before, couldn't believe it when they clashed! I nearly asked my parents to change the date of their party!!

JuanPotatoTwo · 07/06/2014 00:04

Just been reading that Djok took two hours to get to his press conference and referred to "physical issues" which he didn't want to discuss, and that he sounded sick :(

Raahh · 07/06/2014 00:15

Oh noSad

That is really not how I want Rafa to win, and I doubt he will either.

Hopefully a dose of lemsip and a couple of nights sleep and he will be fine.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 07/06/2014 01:11

Following on from my new downstairs neighbour breaking into his own flat at 2am a couple of months ago because he'd forgotten his key, scaring the crap out of me in the process. His friends have just turned up and he's at work so their sitting outside. According to the phone conversation they've just had with him, he won't be back for 1/2 an hour. So they've decided to try and find a way to break in because they can't be arsed to sit outside. I can't even be bothered to attempt to try and deal with this one.

Mama1980 · 07/06/2014 07:28

Morning all
Oh no clay, I hope they managed to break in quietly at least?

Trixy that is crap Hmm I would have seriously considered asking them to move the party too Grin I never get lucky in the ballot though we usually go and get just a grounds ticket to watch on the big screen etc.

I've just watched most of the matches from yesterday (dd2 is just not sleeping) djokovic one was strange, he seemed a little all over the place let's hope he is physically well (plays a good match but still loses!Grin)
Rafa looked great, was shocked when I saw the score though, seems rafa has remembered Murray really isn't that great on clay. Credit to Murray for his press conference for once I didn't hear him make excuses he just said rafa outplayed him and he had no answers, which is fair enough.

We went to see the slalom canoeing World Cup yesterday, was so incredibly hot, I was completely unprepared. Ds1 predictably was glued to his seat watching. It was a struggle but no one got sunburnt but me, wearing my sunglasses all day may have been a mistake.......Grin

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 07/06/2014 10:47

Well, they broke in quietly, but then decided to have a not so quiet party, on the one Friday of the year I have to get up and go to work. Although that's slightly optional and I'm seriously considering not bothering.

threebats · 07/06/2014 14:41

Raahh

Hopefully a dose of lemsip and a couple of nights sleep and he will be fine. ''Now you listen to me Djok, get this lemsip down your neck and get yourself to bed early - those are orders, do you understand? Do as I say.....''
I love it!! Grin

Arriving late to the kick off for this final but at least I have arrived, marked improvement on the last week of non stop work and no tennis....

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 07/06/2014 14:58

Good to see you back, three.

Seems to have started OK for Halep by Shrieky now seems to have control.

JuanPotatoTwo · 07/06/2014 15:53

Clay you'll have to repay the favour by having a few loud parties of your own.

Shrieky's going to win isn't she? I don't know how she does it really with the number of double faults she serves. One minute she looks to be on the ropes and the next she's winning. Oh well, at least Grigor will be happy and I like Grigor - silver lining and all that.

DramaAlpaca · 07/06/2014 16:00

This is a really good match. Hope Halep can take it to a decider now.

trixymalixy · 07/06/2014 16:11

I'm rlly enjoying this match. Allez Halep!!

DramaAlpaca · 07/06/2014 16:12

Oh no, tie-break!

trixymalixy · 07/06/2014 16:24

Yes!!!

DramaAlpaca · 07/06/2014 16:26

Yesss!!

Tennis Tennis Tennis

JuanPotatoTwo · 07/06/2014 16:27

Shrieky is such a cheat, it's not right. She consistently takes too long between shots. I've heard her just once this tournament getting a time penalty, and the commentator said "You just know that that isn't going to affect the amount of time Maria takes at all, she'll carry on doing it exactly the same". The commentator actually made it sound like a good thing too.

OP posts:
JuanPotatoTwo · 07/06/2014 16:29

And look how long she's taking now. Can you tell I'm not a Shrieky fan?

OP posts:
DramaAlpaca · 07/06/2014 16:31

And now she's taking ages on her 'comfort break'. Eurosport commentators have called it a 'composure break' but are clearly unimpressed. Another bit of gamesmanship to go with the shrieking and the time-wasting.

Also not a Shrieky fan Smile
