This is a thread for all fans of the daytime soap 'Doctors', BBC1, 1.45pm. All welcome, newbies, lurkers and regulars.

Quick New Year Resolutions:

  • Mrs T will wear her flirty wig more often.
  • Heston will develop a deep and lasting love for a woman in a flirty wig whose name begins with W.
  • Howard will pursue his fishing interest so we see him in fishing gear and getting wet at every opportunity.
  • 6tl will resolve to burn her shit blouses and perish in the fire.

I am sure you can all think of more.

Let the WTF commence! Grin

I cannot cope with irritating Val and Jimmi's woman. They are both awful. Are they related?

Oh good- Heston next week.

curlyclaz13 · 24/01/2014 21:21

tilliebob welcome to the best thread on mn ! On a good day we sometimes even discuss the programme !

cinnamongreyhound · 24/01/2014 21:21

Hi tilliebob!

Jimmi's woman hates her boss Raahh, hence looking for a new job and Gobbyplod is living on takeaways because he can't be arsed as his reason for living has been taken away.

OodlesofOodles · 24/01/2014 21:23

Welcome Tilliebob conversation is a bit random here but if you're a fan of Doctors you'll be used to it! We love new people joining us here so don't disappear or anne will track you down.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 24/01/2014 21:26

Just catching up now. Welcome Tillie.

You don't find many 16 year olds called Silas do you?

cinnamongreyhound · 24/01/2014 21:32

I don't know anyone named Silas apart from
Hollyoaks :)

MsNobodyAgain · 24/01/2014 21:48

Welcome tilliebob and all credit to you if you read this whole thread!

Watching since the beginning is impressive Shock

I am 2 episodes behind. Hoping to catch up at the weekend,

Welcome tillie. Do stay. Be very scared of Anne tracking you down.

MrsN - I 'watched' yesterday's. Or at least it played in one tab on my browser while I got bored and decided to read MN instead. No idea what happened. Might have to watch again.

Adding a WALOC acronym isn't making me optimistic that I want to watch the last two episodes.

toldmywrath · 24/01/2014 22:08

Hello Tillie (that is my dog's mum's name by the way)
I remember the riverside practice & Dr Ben( & Jude & the one with big bosoms who're now in Emmerdale- the actresses not just the big bosoms Grin )
But I didn't watch it right from the start- what a feat of endeavour.

tilliebob · 24/01/2014 22:09

Yeah it's the names of my two much loved and much missed Labradors - Tillie and Bobby ;)

MsNobodyAgain · 24/01/2014 22:17

OodlesofOodles · 24/01/2014 22:18

Me too MsN Grin

AnneEyhtMeyer · 24/01/2014 22:33

Hello Tillie!

Welcome to the best bit of MN!

Make yourself at home, we're a friendly bunch. But we will never let you go. Ever.

Raahh you make a good point - Juuuuuuuuuuulia was always stressed at her workload and wandered around with a clipboard. What was she doing? TBFE treats it like a part-time job.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 24/01/2014 22:35

Grin at 'the actresses not the big bosoms'.

If IMDB is right and it started in 2000, I can't have been far off watching at the start. Missed a huge chunk between 2007 and 2013 though.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 24/01/2014 22:37

Might just be Juuuuulia. Kate didn't seem to do too much either.

cinnamongreyhound · 24/01/2014 22:43

Maybe Julia had less partners, everyone seems to be a partner these days!

AnneEyhtMeyer · 24/01/2014 22:56

Oh come on, Clay, Kate used to look mournful and guilty and snog priests.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 24/01/2014 23:03

Yes but none of those have much to do with being busy running a practice. Admittedly she didn't have 2 practices to manage though.

Or a potential superpractice to deal with. Which reminds me: Where are the newts? I need to know.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 24/01/2014 23:26

They do in Doctors, Clay.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 24/01/2014 23:36

Ok you may have a point there.

leezl · 25/01/2014 00:42

Hello gang! Hello newcomers! I'm still alive. New job is proving rather Doctors-unfriendly. May need to install a telly in the office. Miss you all!

MsNobodyAgain · 25/01/2014 07:24

leezl you have been missing Jimmi! Can't you record and watch at night?

OP posts:
OodlesofOodles · 25/01/2014 12:40

Or I player?

tilliebob · 25/01/2014 13:11

I have to record it 4 days a week just now as I am at work then but I should soon be going back to 3 days a week so I'll get 2 days live and 3 days recorded to watch. Actually like the rare times I get to watch 2 or 3 or more episodes back to back.

I am alone in my Doctor's worship in my house, btw - I live with heathens!!

MsNobodyAgain · 25/01/2014 14:16

I think there are a few DHs that secretly watch with some of the people that post on here. I am single but my children know of my affection for Doctors.

"Don't bother mummy, she is watching her programme" Grin
