I love David Morrissey. My god there's so much on telly tonight I'm beside myself!

I enjoyed it and found all the characters except ryan believable. I agree it wasn't believable she'd wear office work to her type of job as she seemed to have a uniform there so surely would just dress casually and have minimal if any make up.
I reckon she'll never marry Ryan as he's boring and controlling.
DM will stay with his wife after she finds out about the affair and they have a row but will leave his job or get fired.
Can't see him being a chef though as he can't even manage a barbecue.
I don't see what everyone sees in DM. He's fairly ordinary looking to me.

LondonNinja · 07/01/2014 14:15

I agree - why is she with Ryan? They had zero chemistry...

CaptainSweatPants · 07/01/2014 14:16

I'd like it tonight if both partners can find out what has been going on so they can portray the utter devastation harmless flirting can cause
Hopefully they'll see the error of their ways before they shag and he'll go home & communicate with his wife & kids & she'll dump boring fiancé

CaptainSweatPants · 07/01/2014 14:17

I think he'll tell his boss to shove his job & work from home & she'll carry on commuting & look mournfully at the seat he used to sit in at the end Grin

Also, the chat they had about keeping it all secret and a one-off didn't work. Isn't that what they'd say after the deed?

(This makes me think they won't actually do the sticky icky thing and have a reality check - and he will realise what a gem Olivia is and Sheridan will dump loser boy.)

Pan · 07/01/2014 14:23

Or Ryan and Olivia C have been having a torrid affair all this time, and were really relived to not have to go to London to collect their 'cheating' OHs.

CrestaRun · 07/01/2014 15:31

As someone who had an affair and married the OM, I found this quite realistic sadly.

CosyTeaBags · 07/01/2014 15:46

I enjoyed it, although found it rather uncomfortable viewing as a close family member is currently having an affair with a MM. It showed just how easily it can happen. I hope tonight's episode focuses on the fallout...

Never fancied DM before, but I admit he was rather lovely in this. As for the poster upthread who said he's the only reason to watch The Walking Dead.. shame on you, the gorgeous Andrew Lincoln is too gorgeous for words.

I too need to know where SS got that dress, it was lovely!

wintera · 07/01/2014 15:52

One review in the paper said there are some very good scenes between ss and oc in the second ep. If its an update of brief encounter well then they never actually had sex so it might not happen. I also found it quite realistic. I was in a similar situation once myself. Although mine was on a bus and we were both single. Spent months catching each others eyes and looking away quickly before actually going out. That was when I was a young 19 year old though. And no we didn't last. But I think of him often and wonder what he's up to, although not in a regretful way.

wineoclock, nope, you're not the only one, I guessed at it up t'thread. But it all does rather depend on whether or not they actually go through with it in the hotel, of course. Unless my biology is truly cocked up Wink

Pan · 07/01/2014 18:57

I don't think they will have sex. It would undermine the whole purpose of the drama, I think. I think.Smile

moggle · 07/01/2014 19:21

I'm just watching it on iplayer and can tell my mind's not really on it as I was trying to find out where the street location was. They definitely get off the train at Woking and I was thinking, where the hell is there a pretty street like that in woking?! So I'm pleased to find out it's in twickenham and I'm not losing it... As a former Waterloo commuter it's all very nostalgic...

Lighthousekeeping · 07/01/2014 19:30

His voice and accent remind me of a fling many moons ago......

OP posts:
wintera · 07/01/2014 19:42

He has a very nice soft scouse accent, have always loved his voice. Hope he shaves his beard off Tonight though.

Lighthousekeeping · 07/01/2014 19:53

How tall is he or, how short is she? He looks like a giant.

OP posts:
Lighthousekeeping · 07/01/2014 20:09

As if they couldn't have got a bus or a cab home. Of all the restaurants in London would you really choose the overpriced hotel one?

OP posts:
moggle · 07/01/2014 20:13

I know... At worst, It'd be about £100 cab back to woking... Or you can get the district line to Wimbledon and one from there would save a bit of ££. And it was still daylight when the trains were cancelled! You'd at least TRY to get home. Oh unless you wanted a cheeky romp with your new commuting buddy...

Oh David Morrissey is quite tall, I think he's about 6ft 2 something like that. She is small I'd guess there is about a foot between them probably.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 07/01/2014 20:35

Shock blasphemy. Wink
The only reason I watched close on 6 hours of "tense political thriller" State of Play (apart from the hope it would get better - it didn't) was because DM was lush in it.

Still wish he'd been the new Dr Who though,
