We're running out of space on the previous thread - thanks to HalleLouja for the inspired thread title.

No spoilers please! I'm all braced for the Bearded Iran Invasion. And maybe, just maybe, tonight's the night Silent Chris will get that speech therapy he so badly needs.

And another pathetic link to those Homelanded album covers because if someone doesn't tell me what at least one of them originally was then I might well go pop.

SadSadSad

carabos · 22/12/2013 22:17

Was that the last one ever?

GypsyFloss · 22/12/2013 22:17

Me and DD had a bet on whether she'd draw or stick a star on the wall :)

BitOfFunWithSanta · 22/12/2013 22:18

No, I loved every minute except some of the Dana stuff.

peggyblackett · 22/12/2013 22:18

Plans for Season 4 underway, with Saul in it.

My goodness that was sad on so many levels.

kansasmum · 22/12/2013 22:18

Series 4 has been commissioned in the USA. Have no idea where they will go with story though?!

FunnyFestiveTableRunner · 22/12/2013 22:18

I really liked the ending IF it was the end of the last ever episode. But since we know there is another season I wonder did they originally want a poignant tie up episode to cover all bases if there wasn't going to be a fourth season.

HoHolepew · 22/12/2013 22:18

There he goes. Taking his badness to New York.

Feel a bit sad now Xmas Sad

GypsyFloss · 22/12/2013 22:18

It was a weird ending. Quite sad .

FunnyFestiveTableRunner · 22/12/2013 22:19

And also they probably wanted to let people mourn Brody a bit.

bisjo · 22/12/2013 22:19

Very low key end compared to last series ending.

FunnyFestiveTableRunner · 22/12/2013 22:21

I know it was Sad In spite of our piss taking think a tiny bit of most people wanted to see Carrie Brody and baby tucked up in the cabin by the lake Sad

HoHolepew · 22/12/2013 22:21

I loved every episode to be honest.

SnakeyMcBadass · 22/12/2013 22:24

I was seriously underwhelmed. Not sure I'll bother with the next series.

Hassled · 22/12/2013 22:25

That was very sad - I'd assumed a spectacular cliff-hanging ending, but this worked way better.

Beautifully done scenes - Brody and Carrie in the safe house when she told him about the baby, and Javardi and Carrie at the end when actually, he showed that he understood her far better than Saul ever had.

loisismyhero · 22/12/2013 22:25

I thought it was clumsy. Carrie's acting was terrible in the death scene. And the last 10 minutes was spent blatantly setting the scene for the next series. Unborn child conveniently sidelined but still 'there' to be used as needed. Quinn slotted into place as friend/supporter/love interest. Non hot Beardy guy in the Saul role. Saul on the sidelines to be called in because he can't stay away. Meh.

MajesticWhine · 22/12/2013 22:28

Why would carrie forgive the director for betraying Brodie and keep working for him?

TheDoctrineOfSanta · 22/12/2013 22:29

I liked it. It really wasn't plausible to have got Brody out so I'm glad they didn't.

BitOfFunWithSanta · 22/12/2013 22:30

Maybe she's playing a long game, Majestic?

Hassled · 22/12/2013 22:31

I thought the acting was terrific throughout - Javardi sounded a bit too American once but that was all I noticed.

Carrie would stay at the CIA because she has the CIA running through her veins - I couldn't see her quitting whatever happened (now I've said that she'll almost certainly quit).

HalleLouja · 22/12/2013 22:31

Javardi was good in the episode.

Carrie's dad made me sob Sad Brody dying didn't make me cry at all.

Saul should be cannonised St Saul of Langley.

HazeltheMcWitch · 22/12/2013 22:34

Yup, they've said there is a season 4 in the offing.
The bad news is Mrs Brody and Dana wont be in it.

No news on Silent Chris yet. Is it Chris? He's so silent, I've forgotten his name.

Ooh, maybe in S4 he can visit a SALT?

Hassled · 22/12/2013 22:36

Shaun Toub, Javardi actor, was raised in Manchester. Blimey.

Does anyone know what Carrie was adding to the memorial wall? Surely not "NB"?

Hassled · 22/12/2013 22:37

Yes, re Carrie's wonderful dad, did we already know her mother had left them? It had passed me by.
