Couch to 5K threads should be here. Has been ages since I lurked on one but they are good support. You can usually find someone who's at about the same week as you or who had the same issues when they were at that stage.

It is a good programme and I found it manageable to follow even though I'd not done any exercise for years.

My best tip is not to run too fast. A slow jog will do, even if that's barely above walking pace.

Good to see that the doctors have expanded from home visits into babysitting. Always good to know that your GP will cover childcare issues for you when needed.
