This is a thread for all fans of the daytime soap 'Doctors', BBC1, 1.45pm.

Welcome to regulars, lurkers and newbies. Please join in, more the merrier Smile

Look into my eyes, not around the eyes, don't look around the eyes, look into the eyes , you're under.

Welcome to the Mill. Here you are able to do impossible things.

  • want a home visit? No problem. A doctor will be at your home/place of work/random field/hospital bed in seconds.
  • have a mystery that needs solving? No problem. Heston and Mrs T will unrrrrrrrrravel it within 26 minutes.
  • bothered by continuity? A click of my fingers will stop you worrying about the minor issues such as where has Jimmi's OCD gone and what happened to Kevin's tattoo.

...3, 2, 1, you're back in the room. Please sign in at Reception.

They should have had Zara in one of the costumes.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 26/09/2013 23:19

Thread was filled in just under three weeks .

ClayDavis · 26/09/2013 23:21

Zara would have been brilliant in an STI costume. 2 patients in one day. Married to each other so technically one patient but you can't have everything.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 26/09/2013 23:25

DH is sitting here rolling his eyes in disbelief.

ClayDavis · 26/09/2013 23:32

My sister does that. She'l be sitting there going I can't believe you are still watching Doctors and complaining about the wooden acting. I have to keep explaining that it is so bad it is good.

In RL Doctors news, my flu jab is bizarrely at 11.24 next Saturday. Not 11.20 or 11.25 but 11.24. I will be timing it to the minute.

ClayDavis · 26/09/2013 23:33

I suspect TBFE may secretly be working in my surgery scheduling appointments.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 26/09/2013 23:34

Don't you get a home visit for that Clay?

DH has no idea that I'm sitting here chatting to other Doctors devotees or that I have been doing so for the last year.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 26/09/2013 23:35

Oh, it's finished. Off to bed now, night, night.

ClayDavis · 26/09/2013 23:36

Apparently not. A bit slack in my opinion.

Night.

Raahh · 27/09/2013 10:24

I had to go back and watch a bit (yes, I'm that sad) as Dh insisted on talking to me and stuff.

Tash spoke??? Shock
And sometimes, patients really ruin an otherwise fine episodeGrin. It was also ruined by dh insisting he had seen the blonde woman in something before-despite me pointing out he's never watched any of the programmes she has apparently been in. Apart from Torchwood, and it was a very small role. His memory is not that good.

She had, naturally, been in Doctors beforeGrin

Raahh · 27/09/2013 10:26

I hope you get into your appointment on the dot Clay

and not an hour late because they forget to check you in Angry
still pissed off

AnneEyhtMeyer · 27/09/2013 10:33

Who - DH doesn't know I discuss Doctors online either. He knows I watch it, which he thinks is bizarre enough. God knows what he would think if he knew I discussed it too!

AnneEyhtMeyer · 27/09/2013 10:35

I find it funny that this thread is faster moving than the Corrie and EE ones.

ClayDavis · 27/09/2013 10:47

I was thinking 11:23 and 15s. Should give me plenty of time to check in.

But Doctors is so much 'better' than Corrie and EE. There's so much momre random stuff to talk about.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 27/09/2013 11:20

I agree, Clay.

Raahh · 27/09/2013 11:30

I never watch Corrie, though I used to, but I do usually end up watching Eastenders, though I don't fret if I miss it unlike Doctors. I just don't care about the characters in Eastenders, and they drag storylines out so long, I lose the will to liveGrin. There aren't enough funny bits- but I love Masood repeats self Grin

At least in Doctors, you know a murder will be committed, solved and the culprit behind bars in a couple of weeks. And patients aren't essential to the running of the surgeryGrin.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 27/09/2013 12:45

I love Corrie and could discuss it endlessly, but the thread is very different in that they never talk about anything except Corrie and the only person who I recognise on there is you Anne. Also they don't take the piss, lots of criticism but it's more heartfelt, because when its good its brilliant. Never watch EE though.

It's a year today since I had the operation and subsequent 6 weeks off work that led me to start watching Doctors and join this thread .

AnneEyhtMeyer · 27/09/2013 12:52

Oh Happy Anniversary Who! Thanks Cake Wine

I agree about the Corrie thread. They are very serious about it. You are the only person on there that I recognise, Who!

I like this thread because although we do discuss Doctors, it is about more than that. We are friends!

MsNobodyAgain · 27/09/2013 13:00

I only bother with Doctors but don't tell anyone I discuss it online. DD noticed me tapping away during Doctors once when she was home. She thinks it's very strange that I watch it and chat to people I don't know Blush.

Even when Doctors gets serious, it's never for long and I can't stand long drawn out storylines. That is the reason I gave EE and Corrie up years ago. Months of shouting at the tv 'JUST TELL HIM/HER/IT'!. Very frustrating.

Hmm and Grin Clay at your appointment time. WTF is that all about? Me and DS2 have to attend a scrum open surgery next week and wait in a queue. How very British!

X post. Aww Anne, you're luffly Smile

AnneEyhtMeyer · 27/09/2013 13:04

Don't tell anyone that, MsN!! Blush

HoggyTruffle · 27/09/2013 13:42

I don't even admit to watching Doctors, never mind discussing it in detail. One of the mums from school did pass me last week on the way home and asked if I was going back to watch daytime tv. Perhaps she knows Blush

MsNobodyAgain · 27/09/2013 13:44

Ohhhhh Hoggy, wonder if that was a nice comment or a PA one?

If I mention Doctors to anyone they generally say "What? Never heard of it".

AnneEyhtMeyer · 27/09/2013 13:46

Right, hope this is a good one!

Sparklingbrook · 27/09/2013 13:46

Hello. I am watching today.
